Sam Houston State University Announces Summer 2026 Scholarship Opportunity for Local Educators and Staff 

Sam Houston State University (SHSU) has announced a new summer scholarship opportunity designed exclusively for employees of Walker County and Montgomery County Independent School Districts. This initiative underscores SHSU’s ongoing commitment to supporting the educators and staff who play a vital role in shaping the future of local communities. 

Eligible participants can receive up to $1,200 in scholarship support for Summer 2026 courses. The award provides $200 per semester credit hour for up to six credit hours and is available for both undergraduate and graduate-level coursework. 

Whether pursuing advanced credentials, enhancing professional skills, or taking the next step in their careers, recipients will have access to a wide range of flexible course options, including convenient online offerings designed to fit busy summer schedules.
