Entrance Requirements

Students seeking admission to the PGA Golf Management program at SHSU must satisfy university entrance requirements and submit a separate application to the PGA Golf Management program that includes documentation of a golf handicap of 12 or less.

Applications to the PGA Golf Management program should be made as early in the academic year as possible for consideration for the fall semester; class sizes are limited.

Graduation Requirements

Successful completion of the program requires 4.5 years of study. PGA Golf Management students must fulfill requirements for a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at SHSU and complete requirements of the PGA of America’s educational program.

PGA requirements include passing the Playing Ability Test (PAT), completing internship requirements, and successfully finishing the PGA of America’s three-level PGA/PGM educational program.

PGA Golf Management program requirements for graduation and membership are subject to change by the PGA of America.
