Physical Education Teacher Education
The Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) program at Sam Houston State University prepares students to become certified, culturally responsive physical education teachers for Pre-K through 12th grade. This double major in Kinesiology and Education provides deep content knowledge and pedagogical training grounded in national teaching standards.

This double-major degree program prepares students to sit for the TExES Physical Education Certification exam. Students completing the PETE program have the opportunity to earn Sport Coaching Certification.
