Pursue Your Excellence in Forensic Science

The Doctor of Philosophy in Forensic Science is an interdisciplinary science degree that prepares students for leadership roles through critical thinking, problem-solving, and advanced, discipline-specific knowledge. Students develop these skills through original research, multidisciplinary coursework, laboratory experience, and collaboration with accredited forensic laboratories and industry partners.

The program requires 86 credit hours beyond the bachelor's degree, including 43 hours of core coursework, at least 15 hours of dissertation research, and 28 hours of electives. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in forensic science, complemented by specialized electives and research, typically completed in four to five years of full-time study.
