With a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction, graduates gain the skills necessary to directly help people in the community who need educational support.

Connect with and develop organizations that support education, and train educators to help individuals and groups in the community. Apply skills in education, research, and interpersonal relationships to develop new programs and approaches to educational instruction that meet the needs of diverse learners.

Around the world and at home, students build fulfilling careers working for colleges of education, governmental and intergovernmental agencies, policy organizations, and many more sites where educational leadership is needed.

Enhance Education Around the World

Work with policy makers, government agencies, intergovernmental agencies, nonprofits, colleges of education and more to help develop curriculum, train educators, research and implement policies, and adapt education systems to best support students. Create a better world for learners and help open pathways to advancement in regions around the world.

  • Join a Cohort

    In our supportive modified cohort model, students are admitted to a specific cohort and follow that cohort’s schedule. Take all program courses together with a small group of fellow doctoral candidates, building support and community while earning your degree. Meanwhile, electives independent of that schedule are available, creating a balance between the camaraderie of a cohort and the flexibility of independent learning structure.

  • Establish Connections

    In addition to relationships with cohort members, build connections with national and local organizations that support curriculum, instruction, and research. Gain experience systematically evaluating curriculum and instruction programs to be implemented in a variety of education and policy settings. Build and utilize expertise in supporting individuals and groups who struggle with learning through connections developed in the program and beyond.

  • Design and Implement Curricula

    Gain the skills needed to design and coordinate curricula and develop programs and new approaches to curriculum and instruction that meet the needs of diverse learners. With a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, successful candidates will have the expertise and the credentials necessary to train educators and disseminate best practices to educators in the community and around the world.
