Mammalogy
The SHSU mammal collection is a small, primarily regional holding of approximately 1100 specimens consisting of skins and skulls of species found in East Texas. Because the collection was developed with a primary focus in teaching vertebrate natural history and mammalogy classes, it also includes some taxa and exotic species from other areas of the US and zoos that includes skins, skeletal material, and taxidermy mounts.
