Sam Houston State Natural History Collections Spirit Collection is represented by mainly Texan species of Fish, Amphibians and Reptiles. This is a small range, in part due to the transferring of the collection The UTA Amphibian and Reptile Diversity Research Center. Currently this collection is working on getting every specimen curated and cataloged, and eventually this data will be part of https://www.vertnet.org.
