Our Philosophy programs offer students a rich educational experience that prepares them for an array of careers in which they must think critically, design strategies for solving problems, and communicate with broad audiences in a precise and clear way. Undergraduates studying philosophy enjoy small class sizes and the opportunity for independent work in close consultation with a faculty committed to student engagement and pedagogical excellence. Many of our majors have been accepted to prestigious graduate programs in philosophy, psychology, and law. Most of our graduates, however, go on to careers in a wide variety of fields. Philosophy majors have various opportunities to participate in and contribute to the department through student-led clubs and scholarly pursuits with their faculty mentors.
