Internships
Internships in Human Sciences
Internships give Human Sciences students the chance to apply what they’ve learned in real-world settings while exploring potential career paths. By working directly with professionals, students gain hands-on experience that goes far beyond the classroom and begin building the network they’ll take into their careers.
Internships are required for students majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Interior Design. To be eligible, students must have completed 90 credit hours and all required prerequisite courses.
Internships are offered during the spring and summer semesters and include a minimum of 200 hours of supervised work experience with an approved employer. Opportunities are available locally, across Texas, and even internationally, giving students the flexibility to choose a placement that aligns with their goals.
