Governance Documentation

Model & Documents

SHSU’s website governance model is documented through the Technology and Governance Strategy, the Website Advisory Working Group Charge, the Cascade CMS Access spreadsheet, and the SHSU Web Guide. The Technology and Governance Strategy establishes ownership responsibilities for the website. The Website Advisory Working Group Charge documents the shared governance process and identifies members selected by vice presidents and deans. The Cascade CMS Access spreadsheet documents user permissions by division and department. The Web Guide translates those governance decisions into day-to-day standards, procedures, and editor guidance.

Development & Coordination

The website governance structure is continuously developed through a coordinated university process.

The Website Advisory Working Group includes representatives selected by vice presidents and deans. The initial Cascade CMS access list was reviewed and approved by the Web Advisory Working Group and was based on previous DotCMS access.

Governance documents, access information, training resources, and related materials are shared through the Website Editors' MS Teams group and this web guide.

This web guide is the primary living document for web governance and reflects updates to governance and functional guidance.
