 Residence halls open for occupancy, 11:00 am. - 5:00 pm.
August 19, 20, 23
Thu - Mo:
 Registration for undergraduate and graduate students - refer to Schedule of Classes for details.
August 25
WEDNESDAY:
  • Daytime on-campus classes begin.
  • Late Registration, process class schedule changes. Refer to the Schedule of Classes for details and deadlines.
  • Wednesday Night (WN) classes begin (on-campus and off-campus).
August 26
THURSDAY:
 Thursday Night (ThN) classes begin (on-campus and off-campus).
August 27
FRIDAY:
 Friday Night (FN) classes begin (on-campus and off-campus).
August 28
SATURDAY:
 Saturday classes begin (on-campus and off-campus).
August 30
MONDAY:
 Monday Night (MN) classes begin (on-campus and off-campus).
August 31
TUESDAY:
 Tuesday Night (TuN) classes begin (on-campus and off-campus).

WEDNESDAY:
 Last day to register and to process schedule changes by 4:00 pm.
September 6
MONDAY:
 Labor Day. Holiday for students and faculty.
September 10
FRIDAY:
  •  Twelfth Class Day.
  • Last day to drop without a "Q" and receive 100% refund by 5:00 pm (This does not apply if only enrolled in one course - see resignation policy in Schedule of Classes).
  • Degree applications to be filed in Registrar's Office by students graduating in December 2010.
October 8
FRIDAY:
 Submit draft thesis/dissertation to Library for format and style review.
November 5
FRIDAY:
 Last day to complete a public defense of the thesis/dissertation.
November 17
WEDNESDAY:
 Last day to submit complete, defended and signed thesis/dissertation to the appropriate academic dean's office.
November 19
FRIDAY:
  • Last day to submit final thesis/dissertations (defended and signed) and Route Sheet to the Director of the Library.
  • Last day to drop courses online (not only online courses) without a grade of "F" by 5:00 pm . After today, "Q" drops must be processed in the Registrar's Office, Estill Bldg. Rm. 331. Professor approval required.
November 23
TUESDAY:
  • Thanksgiving holidays for students and faculty begin at 9:00 pm.  Residence halls close at 10:00 pm.
  • Last day to make all final copies of thesis / dissertation and submit to the NGL for binding.
  • Last day to submit Route Sheet to the Dean of Graduate Studies.
November 24, 25, 26
Wed - Fri:

Thanksgiving holidays for students and faculty.

November 28
SUNDAY:
 Residence Halls open. Time will be posted.
November 29
MONDAY:
 Classes resume at 8:00 am.
December 10
FRIDAY:
  • Last Class Day.
  • Last day to resign and drop courses by 5:00 pm. (SEE NOTES BELOW).
December 13, 14,15, 16
Mon - Thur:
 Final examinations [includes Monday Night (MN), Tuesday Night (TuN), Wednesday Night (WN) and Thursday Night (ThN) final examinations].
December 17
FRIDAY:
 Residence halls close at 12:00 noon.
December 17, 18
Fri & Sat:
 TENTATIVE. Commencement, Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum.
December 20
MONDAY:
  • 12:00 noon Deadline for filing grades with the Registrar's Office.
  • Fall Semester Ends.

RESIGNATION NOTE:

 Students may resign with a "W" grade from the 13th class day through the last class day.

DROP NOTE:

 Courses may be dropped without a grade of "F" before taking an final exams. To process a "Q" drop after the online drop closes, students must come to the Registrar's Office, Estill Building Rm. 331 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. No schedule  changes may be made after the deadline specified in the Academic Calendar.
