In a Bearkat love story for the ages, two members of the Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine’s (COM) first cohort of student doctors found a perfect match for their residencies and lives. 

The Sam Houston women's golf team saved its best for last and ran away from the field on Wednesday to claim the 2024 Conference USA Championship at High Meadow Ranch Golf Club.

Since the advent of artificial intelligence (AI), businesses, governments and similar entities have grappled with how to ethically use the new tool to their benefit. In 2022, Sam Houston State University launched a committee made up of faculty, staff and administrators to discuss AI and how students and professors could ethically incorporate it into academics.

Spring 2024 Commencement ceremonies at Sam Houston State University will take place on May 9-11 in the Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum in Huntsville, Texas and feature four accomplished speakers. Darla Faulkner, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Anton Vincent and Steven Foster will speak to the graduating students who have applied for degrees to be awarded.
