Spring 2021
As we look to 2021, new solutions combined with current approaches to managing the challenges of COVID-19 will hopefully bring about steady normalization. The Spring semester will start as planned on January 13, 2021.
Classes
This Spring semester, students will have more instructional choices including increased face-to-face interaction. Access to large venues in the LSC, expanded testing and advanced air filtration will enable us to hold fully face-to-face instruction for a number of freshman and sophomore classes. Registration for Spring 2021 is open now through January 25, 2021.
Class meets in person during normally scheduled times
Course content is delivered asynchronously online
Class meets in-person for a minimum of once per week AND class meets synchronously remote and/or asynchronously online at least once per week
Class meets in-person for approximately 1/3rd of total semester contact hours AND class meets synchronously remote and/or asynchronously online for approximately 2/3rd of total semester contact hours
Events and Activities
While supporting students’ academic success is at the core of who and what we are, the total college experience is also a big part of being a Bearkat. By staying committed to the health and safety of our community and following guidelines for social distancing, mask wearing and hand washing, we anticipate a Spring semester filled with more exciting events that will provide additional opportunities for meaningful social interactions.
