GCJD is pleased to announce that award winning photographer Zoriah Miller is joining the center in the role of “distinguished journalist”.

GCJD executive director Kelli Arena says “It was a pleasure working with Zoriah Miller when he last teamed up with the center. His depth of experience will truly be valuable to the SHSU community”.

Miller will be teaching an on-line photojournalism class, MCOM  3366. Miller has trained photojournalists around the globe and is excited about sharing what he has learned with SHSU students.

"I owe everything that I have done to photojournalism and the kind people who have helped me along the way.  Now I hope to give some of that back, helping students get started on their own paths.  I hope to be able to share what I have learned while letting each individual student follow their own interests.   Most of all I hope to develop a program that will broaden students minds, opening them up to experiences they would never have had before.  Journalism is like a passport, giving access to knowledge and experience far beyond what any text book can teach."

Miller has worked in more than 100 countries, for most major publications. He will begin teaching in the fall of 2015.
