Lex Laas is this month’s GCJD Alumni of the Month. Laas is residing in Houston as a professional actor and director represented by the Page Parks Agency. He recently appeared on HBO’s The Leftovers.

Upon graduation in May 2015, Laas assisted on the Arkansas New Play Festival which brought local actors, Broadway veterans, and Tony nominated playwrights together for two weeks of new and fresh work.  During his stay in Northwest Arkansas, Laas was cast as Puck in a professional production of A Midsummer Nights Dream.

“From when I was the tiniest of tots, I’ve traveled all over the world, from Mexico, Jerusalem, Kansas, Egypt and everywhere in between, thus igniting my fascination with different cultures and lifestyles.  GCJD helped me take that want for something more and put it into action.  Raising awareness of what goes on in this world is important in any job market, being informed of our surroundings is the first step to change, GCJD truly helped me to step back and look at the world with a more critical eye.”
