DOO YOUNG KIM, PH. D.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF STATISTICS


Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor of Statistics at Sam Houston State University. He earned his M.A. degree in Statistics from Ball State University in May 2009 under the supervision of Dr. Mir Masoom Ali, a Distinguished Professor of Statistics Emeritus, and completed his Ph.D. degree in Statistics at the University of South Florida in May 2016 under the supervison of Dr. Chris P. Tsokos, a Distinguished University Professor of Mathematics and Statistics. Before he came to Sam Houston State University, Dr. Kim worked at Arkansas State University as an Assistant Professor of Statistics for two years, from Fall 2016 to Summer 2018. His main research interests are Cluster Analysis of Financial Time Dependent Information and Sports Statistics.
