The Mosaic: Diversity Newsletter
A mosaic is defined as a combination of diverse elements forming a more or less coherent whole. The Center for Diversity & Intercultural Affairs takes pride in diversity education and engagement with our Sam Houston State University community. As a result, our staff has worked on developing a diversity newsletter in which we are excited to roll out!
Beginning Wednesday, April 8th, the Center for Diversity & Intercultural Affairs, will start publishing Volume 1 of The Mosaic: Diversity Newsletter. Our newsletter features up to date content on various diversity celebrations across the world, diversity discussions, scholarship opportunities, resources, upcoming events, and so much more!
Due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), Volume 1 of The Mosaic: Diversity Newsletter will be published here each Wednesday until Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Beginning in the Fall 2020 semester, The Mosaic: Diversity Newsletter will be published monthly.

The Intercultural Library is a resource provided by the Center for Diversity & Intercultural Affairs (CDIA) to help SHSU community members - students, staff and faculty, educate themselves on diverse issues. Books ranging from African American, Latinx, LGBTQIA*, and Middle Eastern literature are available, as well as books on disabilities, immigrant experiences, and mental health issues. It is a growing library open to students, staff, and faculty. We are also open to any book suggestions!
To check out a book, please visit the Center in LSC 315 and let a Diversity Council or CDIA Staff member know which book you would like. All books can be checked out for two weeks without renewal.
Please utilize the following areas as resources and campus partners of the Center for Diversity & Intercultural Affairs. If you would like your area to be featured on this web page as a resource, please contact us at email@example.com.
