Bicycle Clinics: RSC - 1:30-2:30pm, 2:45-3:45pm, and 4:00-5:00pm
Enjoy the warm April weather and walk, bike, or carpool to campus. Reduce your carbon footprint and save on valuable gas money! Bicycle clinics will be offered throughout the day to learn more about safely navigating our city streets.

Namaste! During Earth Week our Yoga Flow group fitness classes will be held outside for some Fresh Air Yoga! Enjoy the calming effect of the sun on your face, and the breeze in your hair as you practice your tree pose in the great outdoors. For Earth Week these classes are FREE! Meet in RSC MP2.

Thought you were great at Farmville? Come try your hand at organic farming at Far Out Farms! Come learn about planting crops, sustainable animal husbandry, as well as the benefits of organic farming and buying local. There are limited spots for this event, so please make sure you sign up at Kickoff, or at the Center for Leadership and Service! *Transportation will be provided*

In its simplest form, Leave No Trace is about making good decisions to protect the world around you. This fun, interactive, workshop will teach you the Seven Leave No Trace Principles, and about how to responsibly enjoy being active outside.

Meet with local designer and builder Dan Phillips, head of Phoenix Commotion, a construction company dedicated to building with recycled and eco-friendly building materials. He will talk about his local projects that incorporate recycled materials, as well as how to affect your own environment. At 3:30, we will leave to tour the Bone House and the Tree House, both located in Huntsville’s Historic neighborhood of The Avenues. For more information, visit www.phoenixcommotion.com. Meet at Front of LSC
Every year, cigarette butts end up in dumpsters and landfills, or get tossed as litter on shorelines, parks, and sidewalks. Join members of Plastic, Bottles & Junk as they clean up and collect cigarette butts on campus. They ship them to Terracycle, which recycles them and turns them into usable products such as plastic pallets.

Plants and flowers help to improve the air quality in your home, and they’re just plain pretty to look at. Stop by the Mall Area and plant your own flower to take home with you.

Old Main Market
Learn about a variety of nutrition topics relevant to you! These topics will be presented by students from an advanced nutrition class. Special emphasis will be placed on local and organic foods.

The group Plastic, Bottles & Junk will be handing out water bottles, courtesy of the LSC. Follow the path inside the LSC and fill them up with water in the LSC hydration stations.
