Security Escort

In the interest of safety of the faculty, staff, students and visitors to the campus, we provide an escort 24 hours a day to all persons going to on-campus destinations.  A uniformed patrol officer or student assistant with the University Police Department will walk with you to ensure your safety.  To use this program call the University Police Department.

Silent Witness

Report illegal and suspicious activities on and around the Sam Houston State University community with complete anonymity. The University Police Department strives to provide a safe learning environment for everyone on the Sam Houston State University campus. Many times individuals do not want to get involved in situations that they might be a witness to for fear of retaliation. No criminal activity is too big or small to be reported and investigated by this department.
