International Finance and Economics in Japan
The International Finance and Economics in Japan program lets students experience and learn about the rich Japanese culture as they study international finance and economics in an international setting. Students will gain exposure to the Japanese financial economy and businesses, visit historic sites, and learn about Japanese financial markets with respect to the global international markets. Students will also enhance their career opportunities by gaining exposure to the Japanese business environment, and broader understanding of the global business environment.
On-campus: May 25-29 and June 22-26, 2020
Japan: May 31-June 20, 2020
- FINC 4085: Special Topics: Readings in Japanese Economy and Financial Market
- FINC 4340: International Finance
FINC 4340: FINC 3320 with a C or better, department approval, 50 completed hours and minimum GPA of 3.0.
FINC 4085: FINC 3320 with C or better and department approval, 50 completed hours and minimum GPA of 3.0.
Students will stay in a hotel during the program which will be arranged by Toyo Gakuen University in central Tokyo. Hotel is within walking distance of the university or students may opt to utilize public transportation (the metro train system) for daily travel to class.
Students will be responsible for purchasing their own tickets on a group flight specified by the faculty leader.
$2,300 (including a $300 non-refundable deposit)
Includes: housing accommodations, filed trips and special activities, guest lecturers from business professionals and academic experts, Japanese lunches on days we are on-campus, and subway/train expenses for out of school-related travel.
Not Included: Airfare, tuition & fees (summer semester)*, $200 study abroad service fee, some meals, spending money, books and supplies, health insurance
*Note: Faculty-led, out-of-country courses do not charge 3 fees: Rec Center, Student Center and Health Center=$275, as opposed to on-campus courses.
Applications accepted on rolling basis until program is filled.

- $500 payment due February 10th
- $500 payment due March 10th
- $1,000 Remaining Program Balance due May 1st
