  • Application Bootcamp

    We invite you to join our Graduate Application Bootcamp, hosted annually each summer. Learn from SHSU experts who will share their experiences and advice on applying to graduate school. The event is intended for those applying to SHSU Master’s programs. You do not need to have a graduate application on file with SHSU prior to attending this event. Registration is required.

    We invite you to join our Doctoral Application Bootcamp, hosted annually each summer. Learn from SHSU experts who will share their experiences and advice on preparing doctoral applications.   • Graduate School Exploration Week

    Graduate School Exploration Week is a week long opportunity for students to learn about graduate education at SHSU and it is annually hosted during the fall semester. Graduate Exploration will hosted on October 9th through October 16th. Highlights include: preparing for graduate school, a mock graduate class, meeting current SHSU graduate students and much more!

  • Future Student Workshops

    Prospective Student Workshops are designed to provide an in-depth view on various graduate school topics. Those topics include, but may be limited to, graduate admissions, financial aid, student money management, life in graduate school etc. During this time, you will hear from a variety of experts from SHSU who will share their experience and advise. Speakers are made up of SHSU faculty, staff, current doctorate or master’s students. Registration is required.

  • Graduate 101 Informational Sessions

    Do you want to go to graduate school, but are you not sure where to start? Attend a Grad 101 Info Session to learn about the process of researching and applying to graduate school. Specific topics covered include graduate admissions, financial aid, money management and career options when considering your future. Registration is required.

  • Graduate Campus Visit

    Join us at Sam Houston State University’s Graduate Campus Visit this spring! With 65+ graduate programs and many certifications, Sam has the program to fit your future. During the visit, you will get an exclusive look at admissions, financial aid, and campus, and explore graduate student resources.  Click here to register.

  • Graduate Program Open House

    The Open House events will feature individual graduate programs on display. Tune in to learn about the admission process, program specifics and funding opportunities by degree! During this time, you will meet advisors, faculty, and staff from the graduate programs showcased below. All events will be hosted on zoom. Registration is required.

  • GRE Prep Workshop

    We believe that SHSU students should be able to compete right along with others across the nation and to ensure you the best possible opportunity to perform well on the exams, we offer a FREE GRE Prep workshop twice per semester. Registration is required.
