Career Services

...offers a variety of services, including resume and cover letter assistance, mock interviews (virtual and on-campus), job listings (Bearkats Get Hired, as partnered with Handshake), job fairs, workshops, and more.

Counseling Center

...provides individual, couples, and group therapy to currently enrolled students, as well as numerous self-help and online resources.

Food Pantry

...supports students who struggle with food insecurity, to encourage an educational understanding of food insecurity, and to provide a space for students to volunteer and network with their peers.

Legal and Mediation Services

...are available as well. SHSU has an attorney on staff dedicated to advise students about their legal rights and responsibilities, generally through one-on-one (scheduled) consultations. Check out the various ways in which they can help.

Lowman Student Center (aka, The LSC)

...aka "The LSC," offers the Kat Klub Entertainment Center, Ballroom, Theater, 16 conference rooms, and more, the LSC is conveniently located at the center of campus and serves as the campus "living room." Stop by the Information Center for details or directions.

The LSC is also "home" to the University Bookstore, where you can find and buy or rent what you need for class: textbooks or other physical and electronic course materials and supplies. And of course, get your gear here and show your Bearkat Pride!

Student Health Center

...provides safe and quality care to SHSU students in a patient-centered environment with a teamwork approach. Find info on submitting meningitis forms, what to do if you need a doctor after hours, and more.

Tripod’s Thrift

...provides students the opportunity to shop for items such as personal care items, school supplies, and clothing for free!
