Summer Bridge: Is this the correct path for you?

Summer Bridge is a course Sam Houston is offering incoming freshman and existing students who are not only struggling with math. So you haven’t taken the TSIA or maybe you did and did not do quite as well as you should have. Maybe you have not taken your ACT or SAT and need to upgrade your math skills.

Well here is a chance to take a 6 weeks or less course. Once you have successfully pass the course, you will be able to enroll into a SHSU MATH 1314, 1324, 1332, or 1342 course without a Co-Req.

The course is free and completely virtual during the whole 6 weeks. Start dates are June 14th, June 21st, and June 28th. The course ends on July 29th, all students will be required to take a final examination at the completion of the course. If you feel like you need to take 6 weeks to complete it then you will want to sign up for the June 14 start date. You may feel you only need 3 weeks, then July 5th is your start date. Each student can take 6 , 5, 4, or 3 weeks to complete the course. It is entirely up to you and what you are comfortable with.

Summer Bridge is online, so you can work from home at any time that is available for you. There will be personal support available online and in-person. Tutors and teachers will be available every Monday – Thursday at our Main campus in Huntsville and at our Sam Houston facilities at The Woodlands as well as online through Zoom in the evenings and weekends.
