Honors Student Advisory Council (HSAC)

What is HSAC?

HSAC (Honors Student Advisory Council) is an organization for all Honors College students at SHSU. It's members strive to give back to the university and the community. HSAC Officers serve as a liaison between the Honors faculty & staff and the Honors College students. They are charged with planning social activities during the school year.

Who can get involved?

Anyone who is a part of the Honors College can get involved with HSAC either through attending events, being a part of a committee, and attending HSAC meetings.

If you are interested in getting involved with HSAC, please contact the Honors College or any of the HSAC Officers.

What does HSAC do?

HSAC students volunteer for many events like Welcome Week, All Paws In, Fall Festival, and Homecoming. We also encourage involvement with social events including Pizza with Profs and annual cultural outings. Meetings on the second Monday of every month at 4 p.m. in the Honors Lounge.
