Meet Eric Cooke, a 3rd year Ph.D. student in Criminal Justice & Criminology as he shares his experience with the program. He is a biosocial researcher focusing on life course and developmental perspectives and looks at how biology and environment interact and influence behavior. His goal is to obtain a faculty position and continue his research.

Alicia Jurek

Meet Alicia L. Jurek, 4th year Ph.D. student in Criminal Justice & Criminology as she shares her experience with the program. She transferred to SHSU during her undergrad years and pursued her masters and now Ph.D. here. She is a research assistant for the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT) which allows her to work with local law enforcement agencies. She feels set up for success in her future endeavors as a research faculty member.

Tri Keah Henry

Meet Tri Keah Henry, a 4th year Ph.D. student in Criminal Justice & Criminology as she shares her experience with the program. Her research focuses on discretionary decision making by key criminal justice leaders. Her main goal is to work at a research institution while teaching undergraduate students.
