The Writing Center's biggest goal is to help students with their writing, no matter what stage they are in. Don't be afraid to come in if you haven't even started thinking about writing your essay yet. Brainstorming sessions are quite common and very beneficial. We help with anything including understanding the audience, researching the topic, creating a thesis, selecting evidence, organizing ideas, developing paragraphs, creating transitions, and writing clear, grammatical sentences.
What we can't do, however, is edit your paper for you. We are here to give you the tools that make you a better writer, not correct sentences on any single paper.
