Purpose. Establishes standards for the operation, direction, and
activities of the Lowman Student Center.
Appointments. The President makes all faculty appointments.
The University Faculty Senate nominates one faculty member each
year for a three-year term expiring at the end of the fiscal year.
There are ten STUDENT MEMBERS on the Board serving one-year terms
expiring at the end of the academic year. Student Membership consists
of three officers elected by LSC Board; seven STUDENT MEMBERS consisting
of one representative selected by and from each of the following
organizations: Student Government Association, Interfraternity Council,
SHSU Panhellenic, National Panhellenic Council, Program Council,
Residence Halls Association, and International Students Association.
The positions of president, vice present, and secretary of the Board
carry strict requirements for holding these offices. The Board members
elect students who meet those requirements to serve in these offices.
