INTERCULTURAL AWARENESS COMMITTEE **

Purpose. The purpose of the committee is a university-wide effort to develop multicultural workshops for all faculty and staff, to study the cultural climate of the university, and to work with the student groups when campus-wide programs are planned.

Appointments. The President makes all appointments; one student representative from each of the five academic colleges nominated by the Student Government Association, a faculty representative from each of the five academic colleges nominated by the University Faculty Senate, and a staff representative, nominated by Staff Council, from the divisions of academic affairs, student services, finance and operations, university advancement, and enrollment management. The chair is selected from faculty or staff members of the committee. Faculty and staff representatives serve three-year appointments expiring August 31; student representatives serve one year appointment expiring May 31.
