Purpose. Monitors institutional effectiveness activities; determines appropriate types of assessment; assists the Office of Institutional Research in coordinating assessments carried out in the various departments and programs; develops plans for institution-wide assessment; and helps ensure that assessment results are used in program improvement.

Appointments. The President makes all appointments from recommendations submitted by the Director of Institutional Research. The Director of Institutional Research serves as chair. The chairs of the three working subcommittees are appointed by the Director of Institutional Research. The committee consists of twenty members serving indefinite terms.
