PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE

Purpose. To establish transportation and parking regulations; to review annually a system of priorities for permits to be issued in various parking areas; to recommend ways and means of meeting parking needs of facutly, staff, and students; and, to recommend any changes in the composition and operation of the Parking Appeals Committee.

Appointments. The four faculty members will be appointed by the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.  The Faculty Senate will be asked to submit names to the Provost for consideration.  The four staff members will be appointed by the Vice President for Finance and Operations.  The Staff Council will be asked to submit names to the Vice President for Finance and Operations for consideration.  The four student members will be appointed by the Vice President for Student Services.  The Student Government will be asked to submit names to the Vice President for Student Services for consideration and shall include at least one graduate student.  Chair, which much be a faculty or staff member, will be selected by the committee.  The faculty and staff members will serve two year tearms, with two of the faculty and two of the staff members appointed for alternating two year terms.  The student members will serve one years terms with the option to be reappointed for one additional year.
