In the interest of safety of the faculty, staff, students and visitors to the campus, we provide an Escort Service.  This service is available 24 hours a day to all persons going to on-campus destinations.  To use this service, call 936-294-1794 to speak with our communications operator.

Vehicle Assists

Should you experience trouble starting your vehicle, a University Police Officer will be glad to assist you.  To request assistance, call 936-294-1794 to speak with our communications operator.

Emergency Call Boxes

Emergency call boxes have been placed at various locations on the Sam Houston State University campus.  These call boxes are orange in color and labeled “EMERGENCY” in black letters.  There also is a blue light on top.  Operation is easy.  You push the button, and talk directly in the speaker when the call is answered.  Your call goes directly to our University Police Communications Center.  Call boxes should be used for emergency situations only.
