While conducting a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Josey Street, officer determined that the driver, a 22 year-old male student was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated.
Officer was dispatched to the Criminal Justice Builiding where the complainant reported that a glass door was shattered.

Officer observed a 34 year-old male stumbling in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue, adjacent to the department's location. Upon contact, officer determined that the indiviudal was highly intoxicated. The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 300 block of Bowers Boulevard, officer determined that the driver, a 21 year-old male university student, was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated.

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village where the complainant reported that he was physically threatened for reporting the fight in progress report. The suspect was located shortly after and arrested for the offense of Retaliation.
Officers were dispatched to the Jackson-Shaver parking lot in reference to a fight in progress report. Upon arrival, officers observed a large crowd gathered around individuals who were fighting. At the conclusion of the investigation, two male 18 year-old students were arrested and charged with the offense of Disorderly Conduct. A third 19 year old male univerisity student was also arrested and charged with the offense Disorderly Conduct for being involved in the fight as well.
Complainant reported that someone had damaged her vehicle, while parked in the 1000 block of 17th Street, by pouring syrup and then placing toilet paper on top.

Complainant reported that he noticed someone had damaged his vehicle by attempting to "punch" the door lock on his vehicle while it was parked in the Sam Houston Village parking lot.

Officer met with complainants who reported that their Bearkat Village residence had been burglarized. Missing items included and IPOD, an IPOD charger, and a cell phone charger.

While conducting patrol activities in the 1900 block of Marks Driver, officer was alerted (via police radio) of a aggravated robbery in progress. Officer noted that the location of the robbery was within a couple of blocks of his current location. While proceeding to the location, officer discovered an abandoned vehicle in the roadway, located in the 1500 block of Marks Drive, and quickly spoke with witnesses. Officer then proceeded north on Marks Driver where he located the suspect who was taken into custody without incident. After meeting with complainant, it was learned that the suspect displayed a weapon at the victim while demanding his vehicle. The victim turned over his vehicle to the suspect who then fled the area. The suspect, identified a Tamara Nickens (a 33 year old female resident of Huntsville), was arrested and charged with the 1st Degree Felony offense of Aggravated Robbery. The vehicle and personal property found on the suspect were returned to the victim.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Lake Road, officer determined that the driver, a 25 year-old male university student, was intoxicated. Subsequently, the driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Montgomery Road, officer determined that the driver, a 22 year-old male non-university student was intoxicated and carrying a weapon. The driver was arrested and charged with the offenses of Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

An officer, while conduting a safety check of the Sam Houston Village parking garage, discovered a vehicle occupied by a 18 year-old male student. During the investigation it was determined that he was in possession of marijuana. The male was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
A student reported that she attemepted to purchase a vehicle online where she sent money to a thrid party. As of this date she has not been able to contact the seller or the third party that is holding the money.

The driver was arrested for the offense of Driving While Intoxicated. During the officer's investigation, it was also determined that the driver was carrying a weapon unlawfully. The driver was also charged with the offense of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

While conducting a traffic stop on Montgomery Road, near the intersection of Elks Drive, officer determined that the driver, 22 year-old male student was intoxicated. Subsequently, the student was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated.
Officer spoke with complainant who reported that a camera lens was possibly stolen durng a football game being held in Bowers Stadium on November 22nd.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Avenue I, officer determined that the driver, a 22 year-old male former university student, was in possession of illegal narcotics and in violation of a criminal trespass warning for the SHSU campus. Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with the offenses of Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Criminal Trespass.

Officer was dispatched to the University Bookstore in reference to a theft in progress report. Upon arrival, officer identified a 20 year-old male university student who was suspected of stealing textbooks. During the officer's investigation, it was dertermined that the student had concealed several textbooks in a bag, valued at over $500.00. The student was arrested and charged with the offese of Class A Misdemeanor offense of Theft.
Officer was dispatched to Jackson-Shaver Hall in reference to a report of possible drug activity taking place. Upon arrival, officer conducted an investigation of a room occupied by five male university students (all under 21) and one female non-university student age 19. After the officer's investigation, all 5 individuals were cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and one male 18 year-old university student was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

While assisting the Huntville Police Department, officer identified a 18 year-old female student from Lone Star College - Tomball who was highly intoxicated. During their investigation, the student became combative. The student was arrested for Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest. While at the jail, it was discovered that the female was also in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia. The female was charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Officer was dispatched to the Coliseum parking lot where the complainant reported that his vehicle was damaged (tail light found damaged).
Officer was dispatched to Jackson-Shaver Hall where the complainant reported that his laptop computer and currency were stolen from his residence.

Officer met with complainant in the Bowers Stadium parking lot where she reported that her vehicle was damaged.
Officer was dispatched to the Alpha Delta Pi House where the complainant reported that an Apple 3G Iphone was stolen.
While providing police services for the Tailgate Party at Bowers Stadium, officer discovered a 19 year-old Texas State University student in possession of Alcohol. The female was cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village in reference to an alcohol violation. Upon arrival, officer determined that an 18 year-old male university student was in possession of alcohol. The male student was cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
While conducting patrol activities in the Agriculture Complex, officer identified three individuals in possession of alcohol. All three were identified as male university students under the age of 21. Subsequently, all three were issued citations for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
Officer was dispatched to the HKC where the complainant reported that his unattended backpack was stolen.
Officer was dispatched to the University Police Department where the complainant reported that a male juvenile was sexually assaulted by a 28 year-old female student in a campus residence. Investigation to follow.

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village where complainants reported that an unknown male was acting in a strange manner. During the complainants' conversation, the unknown male made threats towards their personal safety.

Officer was dispatched to the central campus area in reference to a disturbance call. After a brief check of the area, no disturbance was located. Further information was recieved and officers followed up at a adress located in the city of Huntsville. While at the location, an individual fled from the residence. After a short foot chase, a 22 year-old male university student was arrested for Evading Arrest/Detention.
Officer was dispatched to the HKC where the complainant reported that his unattended wallet was stolen.

Officer was dispathced to the HKC in reference to a Theft/Credit Card Abuse report. While speaking with the complainant, he reported that his unattended backpack was taken while he was engaged in a sports activity. The complainant then searched the building and located his backpack and noticed that his wallet was missing. While canceling his various credit cards, it was determined that a fraudulent transaction had occurred.
Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village where he discoverd that the occupant of the residence, an 18 year-old male university student, was in possession of alcohol. The male student was issued a citation and released.
Officer was dispatched to Jackson-Shaver Hall where he met with the complainant in reference to a student's concern for another.
Officer was dispatched to the Jackson-Shaver parking lot where the complainant reported that his vehicle tire had been punctured. During the investigation, a second vehicle was located with four punctured tires and damage to the paint.

Officer was dispatched to the Mall Area where construction workers reported seeing an individual carrying spary pait. After a search of the area the individual was not located; however, officers discovered graffiti in the area.
Officer met with complainant who reported that another student was making threatening comments towards her. suspect Information was gathered and an investigation is underway.
Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village in reference to a disturbance report. After the officer completed his investigation, a Class "C" Misdemeanor citation was issued to an 18 year-old female student for the offense of Simple Assault.

Officer met with complainant who reported that his vehicle was damaged while parked in the South Sorority Hill parking lot.
Officer met with complainant who reported that his "iPhone" was stolen from Pritchett Field while he was particitpating in a sports related activity.
While conducting a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Lake Road, the vehicle failed to pull over and flef from the officer. After a brief chase, the vehicle was located and the occupants had left the scene. The vehicle was subsequently impounded. During the investigation, an occupant of the vehicle was identified, provided a statement, and a suspect was identified. A warrant of arrest will be sought for the driver.

Officer was dispatched to the Jackson-Shaver parking lot where the complainant reported that her vehicle was damaged. Upon further investigation, it was determined that other vehicles had sustained damage as well. Suspect information was gathered and an investigation is underway.

Officer was dispatched to Vick House where he met with staff in reference to a student welfare concern report.
Officer observed two males in the Jolly Fox parking lot fighting. During the officer's investigation, the males were identified as a 26 year-old male university student and a 24 year-old male university student. Both were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.
While in the 2500 blcok of Sam Houston Avenue, officer observed an individual urinating next to a parked vehicle. Upon investigation, officer identified the suspect as a 21 year-old male non-student. The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.

While conducting a routine check, officer discovered a 21 year-old male university student and a 22 year-old male university student that were highly intoxicated. Subsequently, the males were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to the Smith-Hutson Building in reference to a welfar concern report. Upon arrival, officer met with a 19 year-old male student who was complaining of concentration problems. After further investigation, it was determined that the male was intoxicated and possibly had taken other medications. After being cleared by medical personnel, the student was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.
While conducting patrol activities in the 2100 block of Avenue J, officer began to check the welfare of five individuals. As the officer approached, the five males ran from the officer. Officer was able to chase down two of the males, described as a 23 year-old male university student and 21 year-old male university student, who were then arrested for Evading Arrest/Detention. An investigation continues regarding the three other males who ran from the officer.

Officer was dispatched to the area of Sorority Hill in reference to suspicous person report. Officer arrived and identified a 22 year-old male from Florida who was intoxicated. Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.
Officer was dispatched to the Belvin Horseshoe parking lot in reference to a disturbance report. Officer met with complainant who reported that she had been in an argument with her boyfriend. At this time the complainant did not wish to pursue a criminal complaint; however, it has been forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

Complainant reported that his vehicle was burglarized in the Stadium Parking Lot where a wallet was stolen from the inside of the vehicle. It was later determined that some of the stolen credit cards had been used fraudulently.
Officer met with a male student who reported that his vehicle was stolen from a campus parking lot. On October 20th, our department was contacted by the Houston Police Department who had recovered the stolen vehicle and there was parts of the vehicle missing.
While conducting a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 21 year-old female university student, was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated.

*On October 16, 2008, Marcus Howard, a 30 year-old male non-university student, was arrested in correlation with this incident. Marcus Howard was charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault and booked into the Walker County Jail.
Officer was dispatched to Estill Hall in reference to a reported Aggravated Kidnapping/Sexual Assault report. Upon arrival, officer met with the victim who reported that while she was outside of the dorm, at approximately 12:30 AM, she was approached by a male who forced her into a vehicle while displaying a weapon. The suspect then drove the female to an unknown location and sexually assaulted the victim. The victim was then driven back to the main campus area and released. At this time the University Police Department and the Texas Rangers are investigating leads as they develop.
The University Police Department would like to remind the University Community to take simple precautions while on campus. When walking on campus, remember to stay in well lighted areas and walk with friends. Also, the University Police Department provides an escort program during the evening and night time hours to those who request. Officer met with complainant who reported that two rings were taken from her dorm room.
Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village where the student female complainant reported that she was sexually assaulted by a male acquaintance. An investigation is being conducted at this time by the department’s investigator. *Officer met with suspect and conducted an interview. During the interview, the suspect confirmed the complainant's accusations. At this time the report has been fowarded to the Walker County District Attorney's Office for a formal criminal complaint against the suspect for the offense of Sexual Assault.

During the officer's investigation, the male student became combative and fought with officers on scene. Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Assult on a Public Servant, Retaliation/Obstructing, Public Intoxication, and Resisting Arrest.

While assisting the Department of Residence Life, officer met with student and during his investigation determined that he was in possession of contraband. Subsequently, the male student was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village in a reported suspicous odor call. Upon arrival, Officer identified two male students in the room and after a subsequent investigation, it was determined that both had been smoking marijuana and both were in possession of the substance. One of the male students was arrested and charged for Possession of Marijuana, and the second student was charged with the offense of Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of Marijuana.

While off duty, officer observed a 24 year-old male student removing alcohol and stashing it on his person at a local Exxon. This male then left the store location without paying for the merchandise. Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Theft and Public Intoxication.
Officer was dispatched to the area of the 1700 block of Avenue I in reference to use of a golf cart. Upon investigation, it was determined that an 18 year-old male university student was using an Aramark golf cart without permission. Subsequently, and due to the damage sustained by the golf cart, the student was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief.
While investigating a suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of Bowers Boulevard, officer determined that the occupant in the vehicle was unconscious, but breathing. After being examined by emergency medical personnel, the occupant, a 20 year-old male non-university student, was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication-Minor.

Officer was dispatched to the Coliseum, where a social mixer was taking place, in reference to two suspicious persons. Upon arrival, it was determined that both males were non-students and were wanted on numerous outstanding warrants of arrest. The individuals were arrested, transported to the Walker County Jail, and booked on the numerous warrants of arrest.
While conducting a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Avenue J, officer determined that the driver, an 18 year-old student, was intoxicated. Also, during the investigation it was determined that the driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia and the passenger, a 18 year-old male university student, was intoxicated. The driver and passenger were arrested and taken to the Walker County Jail. The driver was charged with DUI Minor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the passenger was charged with Public Intoxication-Minor.

Upon arrival, officer located the person, identified as a 29 year-old student, who was in possession of alcohol and highly intoxicated. While identifying five males near King Hall, it was determined that they were smoking marijuana. Four of the five males were identified as university students while the fifth was identified as a resident of Deer Park, Texas. As a result of the investigation, the individuals were arrested for Public Intoxication, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
While attempting to make a traffic stop in 1900 block of Marks Drive, the vehicle fled an attempted to elude the officer. After running through several stop signs and ignoring several traffic control devices, the vehicle stopped and fled. After a brief search, the suspect, a 27 year-old male non-university student, was captured. Subsequently, the driver was charged with multiple offenses.
Officer was dispatched to the Bowers Stadium parking lot in reference to a suspicious person report. Upon arrival, officer determined that the suspicious person, a 24 year-old non-student, was highly intoxicated. The suspect was arrested, transported to the jail, and charged with the offense of Public Intoxication.
While conducting a traffic stop in the 400 block of Bowers Boulevard, officer determined that the driver, a 22 year-old student, was intoxicated and in possession of a controlled substance. The driver was arrested, transported to the Walker County Jail, and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 39 year-old non-student, was intoxicated. The driver was arrested, transported to the Walker County Jail, and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated.
An Officer, while returning to campus, observed several males in the parking lot near Shenanigan’s acting in an aggressive manner. Upon investigation, it was determined that one of the males, a 24 year-old non-student, was highly intoxicated. The individual was arrested, transported to the Walker County Jail, and charged with the offense of Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of University Avenue in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival and investigation, officer determined that t he suspicious person, a 19 year-old male student was highly intoxicated. Subsequently, the student was arrested, transported to the Walker County Jail, and charged with the offense of Public Intoxication-Minor.
Officer was dispatched to the area of the Lee Drain Building in reference to a report of a child being assaulted. Upon investigation, it was determined that the child had been injured and had been observed by several witnesses. The child was taken and brought t to the University Police Department. The suspect, a male non-university student was released at the scene. Child Protective Services was contacted and responded to our department. At this time the child was interviewed, and later the parents were interviewed. As a result, the child was released to the custody of CPS and charges are being sought against the suspect for Injury to a Child, a 3rd Degree Felony.

Upon arrival, officer located the two male university students who appeared to breaking into the locked building. The students were questioned, released, and an investigation is pending.

Officer was dispatched to King Hall in reference to a suspicious odor call. Upon arrival and investigation, officer identified a 21 year-old student suspect. While attempting to pat down the student, the student engaged the officer in a fight where the officer was injured. Subsequently, the male student was arrested, transported to the Walker County Jail, and charged with the offenses of Assault on a Public Servant, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Officer, while responding to a loud noise complaint, discovered a highly intoxicated student in the 2400 block of LakeRoad. Subsequently, the 22 year-old male was arrested, transported to the Walker County Jail, and charged with the offense of Public Intoxication.

Officer was attempting to identify several individuals who were walking through the parking lot of Bearkat Village. After identifying the four individuals (two students and two non-students), they were asked to return to their residents since they were in violation of the curfew. Minutes later, the officer again observed the two non-students who then ran from him. They were subsequently captured, transported to the Walker County Jail, and both were charged with Evading Arrest and Criminal Trespas.

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village in reference to a fight in progress call. Upon arrival, officer observed a vehicle leaving the scene in a haphazard manner. Officer noted that others were pointing towards the vehicle. Officer stopped the vehicle where he identified the driver, a 19 year-old male university student, and discovered that he was intoxicated. Subsequently, the driver was arrested, charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated, and transported to the Walker County Jail.

Parent/Guardians were contacted and the juveniles were released. While conducting a traffic stop in the 6000 block of HWY 75 south, officer determined that the driver, a 40 year old male resident of Huntsville, was intoxicated. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver did not have a valid license, had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, and provided a false identity. Subsequently, this individual was arrested, transported to the jail, and booked on numerous charges.

The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of “Driving While License Suspended”. In addition, it was determined that both passengers of the vehicle were intoxicated. Subsequently, one passenger was arrested for the offenses of “Public Intoxication” & “Interference with the Duties of a Public Servant”, and the second passenger was also arrested for “Public Intoxication.”

At this time an investigation is being conducted by the department’s investigator.

Prior to the finding, the passenger provided the officer with false identifying information. While conducting an investigation at a residence at Bearkat Village, five individuals were taken into custody and charged with a variety of drug related offenses. The individuals consisted of a 19-year-old male student, a 19-year-old female student, two 18-year-old male residents of Humble, Texas, and a 19-year-old male resident of Humble, Texas. The drug related charges consisted of the offenses of “Possession of a Controlled Substance” and “Possession of Marijuana”. All five individuals were booked into the Walker County Jail.

Upon arrival and investigation, officer determined that a vehicle had been driven down an adjacent sidewalk which resulted in damage to a parking sign and a handrail. A search of the surrounding area was conducted and the suspect vehicle was located in a private parking lot located in the 2300 block of Avenue I. A short time later, the driver of the suspect vehicle was located and identified. Upon interviewing the suspect, officer determined he was under the influence of alcohol. The driver, a 26-year-old Huntsville resident, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of “Criminal Mischief” and “Public Intoxication”.

While assisting, two male subjects attempted to flee the scene and were subsequently apprehended. Upon arrival and investigation, officer determined that one of the individuals was in possession of drug related items. This subject, a 24-year-old resident of Slidell, La., was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia”. The second individual, a 27-year-old Huntsville resident, was issued a criminal trespass warning and was escorted from campus.

At 11:14 PM, a 19-year-old female resident of Huntsville reported she was confronted by two black males and one Hispanic male while walking in the southeastern area of Intramural Field #2. Shortly thereafter, the female reported she was sexually assaulted by the Hispanic male. The female described her assailants as follows: A black male, approximately 6'2", wearing a white shirt with the words, "Fuck You", red Dickie shorts and a red bandana or "Dorag"; A black male, approximately 5'7", wearing a black shirt, black hat, and white pants; and A Hispanic male that was approximately 5'7". Anyone with information concerning this incident should contact the University Police Department or Crime Stoppers.

A professor reported that his faculty/staff hangtag was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on campus. During an investigation, the stolen hangtag was found displayed on a student’s vehicle. The hangtag was seized from the vehicle and confiscated as evidence. This case will be forwarded to the Walker County Criminal District Attorney’s office for the filing of a formal criminal complaint. On April 3rd, a formal criminal complaint was filed and a warrant was issued for the arrest of a 20-year-old student for the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of "Theft of Services". On April 7th, the warrant was executed and the student was booked into the Walker County Jail.

This subject, a 28-year-old male resident of Huntsville, was transported to the Walker County Jail where he was charged with the offenses of “Possession of a Controlled Substance/Cocaine” and “Parole Violation”.

Upon investigation, officers found two subjects sitting inside a parked vehicle and the odor of burnt marijuana from emanating from within this vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old female student, was determined to be under the influence; and, the passenger of the vehicle, a 23-year-old male Huntsville resident, was found to be in possession of marijuana and three different controlled substances. The female student was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Public Intoxication”. Officer was dispatched to the Alpha Chi Omega House in reference to an intoxicated female. Upon arrival, officer contacted the female and determined she was highly intoxicated. The female, a 21-year-old student, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Public Intoxication”.
Officer was dispatched to Jackson/Shaver Lot #2 in reference to a reckless driver. Upon investigation, officer contacted the suspect while he was walking through the parking lot and he was identified as a 21-year-old student. Upon interview, officer determined this student was under the influence of alcohol and he was taken into custody. The student was subsequently transported to the Walker County Jail and booked for the offense of “Public Intoxication”.
Officer was dispatched to the Jackson/Shaver Lot in reference to a report of criminal mischief. Upon investigation, officer determined that an 18-year-old male student was responsible for removing four wheel covers from a parked vehicle. This student was cited for the Class C Misdemeanor offense of “Criminal Mischief-Tampering With Property”.

Subsequent to her arrest, officer also determined the driver was in possession of a controlled substance. The driver, a 20-year-old student, was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of “Possession of a Controlled Substance” and “Driving While Intoxicated”.

Officers obtained and executed a search warrant for a residence at Barrett House. The search resulted in the confiscation of nine baggies of marijuana and two marijuana laced cigars. On September 27th, an arrest warrant was obtained and an 18-year-old student was arrested and charged with the offense of "Possession of Marijuana". This student was booked into the Walker County Jail.

The resident possessing marijuana was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Possession of Marijuana”. The four occupants were each cited for the offense of “Minor in Possession/Alcohol” and they were released.

While responding to a disorderly conduct complaint, officer observed a male subject obstructing traffic in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Avenue who matched the description of the suspect. When the officer approached this subject, the subject’s demeanor became combative. Several attempts were made to calm this subject, but all efforts failed. The subject, a 24-year-old resident of Arlington, Texas, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Obstructing Highway/Passageway”.

A search warrant was obtained and executed at a residence which resulted in the confiscation of cocaine and marijuana. The 19-year-old male resident of the room was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of "Possession of Controlled Substance (Cocaine)" and "Possession of Marijuana". During this investigation, subsequent information was received about a controlled substance violation at Mitchell House. A search of a residence at this location resulted in the confiscation of several drug paraphernalia items. A 19-year-old male resident of this room was cited for the offense of "Possession of Drug Paraphernalia".
While patrolling in the 500 block of Bowers Blvd., the officer's radar unit indicated that a vehicle was traveling in excess of 50 mph in a 30 mph zone. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle fled north at a high rate of speed on B.K. Marks Drive. The officer eventually was able to stop the vehicle in the 1300 block of Avenue J. Upon contacting the male driver, officer determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. Officers were dispatched to Bearkat Village in reference to a disturbance. Upon investigation, officers determined that a 20-year-old female resident of Conroe, Texas and a 23-year-old male student had been involved in a physical confrontation. Each subject was cited for the offense of "Assault/Dating Violence".
While conducting a drug investigation at a residence at Sam Houston Village, officer determined that an 18-year-old male resident was in possession of cocaine. The resident was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of "Possession of a Controlled Substance".

Upon investigation, officer determined this subject, a 19-year-old student, was under the influence of alcohol. Officer was dispatched to the Alpha Delta Phi House in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, a 21-year-old male student reported that he had been assaulted by a fellow fraternity member. The victim advised he wished to pursue the filing of a formal criminal complaint in this matter. An investigation is being conducted.

While patrolling in the 1600 block of Sycamore Avenue, officer obsered observed a hit & run accident. Officer subsequently pursued the offending vehicle; however, the driver of the vehicle failed to stop evening though the officer had activated the emergency lights and siren of his patrol vehicle. The offending vehicle eventually stoped at a private residence on Avenue C and the male driver was taken into custody. The driver, a 30-year-old Huntsville resident, was transported to the Walker County Jail where he was booked for the offenses of "Evading Arrest" and "Reckless Driving".
