Officer met with complianant who reported having problems with a roommate.  Information was obtained from the roommate and a copy of the report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

Officer contacted the Montgomery County Sheriff's Deartment to request a welfare check of a student.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was burlgarized while parked in the 1700 block of Marks Drive in a University parking area.  No forced entry was located during the officer's investigation.

Officer met with complainant who reported that they discovered multiple fraudulent transactions on their BearkatOne Card Account.

Officer responded to the HKC to assist with a medical call. 

Officer met with complainant at the HKC who reported that his unattended cell phone was stolen from a set of cubby holes located in the near the weight lifting area.

Officer met with complainant who reported that they discovered fraudulent activity on their BearkatOne Card account.

Officer met with complainant who reported that they discovered one fraudulent transaction on their BearkatOne Card account.

Officer met with complainant in the Bearkat Village parking lot where they reported that their vehicle was damaged while legally parked.

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 1500 block of Avenue N, the driver (a male non-university student) of the vehicle fiailed to identify himself to the police officer.  Subsequently, the driver was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the male non-university student was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxiated.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Montgomery Road, the officer determined that the male driver, a univeristy student, was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.  In addition, a male passenger, also a university student, was cited for the offenses of Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Open Container - Passenger.

November 13, 2009

A female student reported that a textbook and a cell phone were stolen from her while she was arguing with a boyfriend at Jackson-Shaver Hall.  The victim reported that the items were left oustide of the residence, unattended, while she was in the residence arguing.  Upon returning to retrieve the items, the victim discovered them missing.

Officers met with Residence Life staff at Sam Houston Village in reference to a reported alcohol violation.  Officer determined that one female student, age 18, was in possession of alcohol.  The female was issued a citation for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Officer was contacted by an employee of Wendy's, located in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to occupants in a vehicle possessing alcohol.  Officer made contact with the driver and passenger, both male university students under the age of 21.  Subsequently, both the driver and passenger were issued citations for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol - Minor.

November 12, 2009

Officers met with multiple complainant in reference to six vehicles that were discovered to be buglarized. All vehicles were parked in the 1200 block of 17th Street near Jackson-Shaver Hall.  It should be noted that suspects in this case have been identified and property has been recovered.

Officer arrested two female students and one male student for the offenses of Possession of Mariajuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  In addition, one other female student was arrested for the offese of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  The arrests stem from an investigation at Estill Hall that began as a suspicious odor. 

November 11, 2009

Officer met with complainat who reported that their unattended wallet was stolen from a computer lab located in the CHSS Building.

Officer met with complainant who reported that the right front tire and wheel was removed their vehicle without their knowledge. The incident occurred while the vehicle was parked in the 2000 block of Avenue I in a university parking area.

November 10, 2009

Officer met with female complainant who reported be harrassed by a male student.  Information was obtained and a copy of the report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

Officer met with complainant who reported that her residence, located in Elliot Hall, was burglarized.  The complainant reported that two laptop computers were missing from the residence.  Officer did not find forced entry into the residence.  Investigation continues.

Officer met with complainant who reported that a structure at Holleman Field was burglarized.  Several items belonging to club sports (baseball) were missing.  In addition, graffiti was also found within the storage area.

Officer met with complainant who reported finding a controlled substance in her residence.  Information was obtained, the controlled substance was destroyed, and a copy of the incident will be fowarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a resident of Livingston, Texas, was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The driver was arrested and taking to the Walker County Jail.

Officer identified 6 indiviuals ( 4 males and 2 female) all under the age of 21 drinking alcoholic beverages outside of the Kappa Alpha House, located in the 900 block of 15th Street.  All 6 individuals, who are university students, were issued citations for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

A male student was issued a criminal trespass warning for another university owned residential hall in reference to a complaint.

Officer met with complainant who reported that he discovered fraudulent transactions on his BearkatOne Card account.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Avenue O, officer determined that the driver, a Huntsville resident, was inoxicated.  Subsequently, the driver, also a minor, was issued a citation for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol-Minor, and released to a sober adult.

Officer met with Univeristy employee who reported that while operating a University vehicle he struck another legally parked vehicle.

Officer responded to the LSC to assist with a medical call.

Officer was dispatched to the Music Building in reference to a fire alarm.  It was determined that the alarm sounded as a result of a fire in a trashcan.  Officer identified several university students who claimed responsibility.  The matter will be referred to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

A male university student was arrested in the Raven Village parking lot for burglarizing a motor vehicle.  Also during the investigation, it was determined that the male was intoxicated and in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Subsequently, the student was arrested and charged with the following offenses: Burgalry of a Motor Vehicle, Public Intoxication - Minor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a Huntsville resident, was wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest.  In addition, it was determined that the passenger, also a resident of Huntsville, was in possession of marijuana.  The driver was arrested on the outstanding warrants and the passenger was arrested for the offense of Possession of Marijuana.

Officer met with a University staff member who reported fraudulent transactions to secure class hours by using a false credit card and a unpayable check.  Investigation continues.

November 2, 2009

Officer was dispatched to 1003 Bowers Boulevard to assist with a medical call related to an injured student.

Officer arrested a male resident of Huntsville, Texas during a traffic stop, located in the 1900 block of Sycamore Avenue, for the offenses of Fail to Identify, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, and Possession of a Controlled Substance..

Officer met with complainant who reported a breach of her computer.  It was discovered that a photograph of the victim had been sent from her computer to other computers without her consent.  Investigation continues.

November 1, 2009

Officer responded to the 2200 block of Marks Drive where the complainant reported that a Univeristy owned vehicle had a window shattered.  The complainant reported they did not believe any property was missing from the vehicle.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Montgomery Road, officer determined that the male driver, a Huntsville resident, was in possession of a weapon.  In additon, it was determined that a male passenger was in possession of narcotics.  Finally, a third male passenger, a Huntsville resident, had outstanding warrants of arrest.  All three males were arrested, transported to the Walker County Jail, and booked on multiple offenses.

Officer responded to the the Smith-Hutson Building to assist with a medical call.

October 30, 2009

Officer met with complainant who reported that his vehicle was damaged was parked in teh 1900 block of Avenue I.  Damage was observed to the vehicle in the front left quarther panel area.

While on patrol, officer observed a rock wall was damaged i the 1100 block of Bowers Boulevard.  At this time there are no known suspects; however, due to pieces of the vehicle left at the scene it is beleived that a silver Honda was involved.  Investigation continues.

Officer responded to the LSC Ballroom to assist with a medical call.

Officer met with complainant who reported that a water ballon damaged the windshield on their vehicle.  A suspect was identified in this incident.

Officer met with university employee who reported damaging another university vehicle.  An accident report was made of the incident.

Officer met with hospital staff at Huntsville Memorial Hospital in reference to an ill student.  University officials were notified of the incident.

October 28, 2009

Officer responded to the HKC to assist with a injured student.

While providing police services at 1231 Josey Street, a male was found to be highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.  Additional.y, a second male was determined to be highly intoxicated and was also arrested at this location for the offense of Public Intoxication.

Officer met with complainant who reported that his vehicle was burglarized while parked in the Bearkat Village parking lot.  The complainant reported that several items were removed from his vehicle.

Officer met with complainant who reported that while operating a University vehicle, he struck antoher University owned vehicle.

Officer was dispatched to the Evans Complex in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, complainant reported that a student became disruptive in class and was asked to leave. The student in question could not be located in the building.  Information was obtained and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

October 26, 2009

Officer's vehicle was nearly struck by another vehicle in the 1600 block of Avenue M. After making a traffic stop on the vehicle, officer identified a female student who reported that she was in a verbal altercation with another non-student female.  Infrormation was obtained and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office.

Officer met with complainant who reported that her vehicle was damaged while parked in the Sam Houston parking garage located in the 1700 block of Aveneu I.

Officer was dispatched to the HKC to assist with a medical call.

Officer met with complainant at the TEC, located at 1908 Marks Driver, where the complainant reported her cell phone missing.

Officer met with student at the Arbor Apartment Complex, located at 555 Bowers Boulevard, where the complainant reported that his unattened wallet was stolen from the lobby of the club house.

While conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of Sam Houston Avenue and Sycamore, officer determined that the driver, a resident of Trinity, Texas, did not have a driver's license or required insurance.  The driver was arrested and charged with multiple moving violations.

Officer met with complainant who reported that her vehicle had been tampered with while parked in the Bearkat Village parking area near Building B.

October 22, 2009

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in the Coliseum parking lot.  Damage consisted of a broken headlight cover and damage to the right front hood area.

October 21, 2009

Officer responded to the sounds of domestic disturbance located at 2501 Lake Road.  During the investigation, a male Huntsville resident was arrested for Assault Family Violence.

Officer met with complainant who reported that she was receiving harassing messages on her "Facebook" account. Investigation to continue.

October 20, 2009

Officer responded to the southeast side of the LSC to assist with a medical call.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in the 20th Parking Lot.

Officer met with male complainant who reported being harassed by his roommates ex-girlfriend.  Investigation continues.

October 19, 2009

While conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of Bowers Boulevard and Avenue J, officer determined that the driver, a male university student, was in possession of contraband.  The driver was arrested and charged with the offenses of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

While conducting a pedestrian stop of a cyclist in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the male Huntsville resident was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Theft.  The theft charge came as a result since the male was in possession of items stolen from HEB.

Officer was dispatched by the Walker County Communication Center to a welfare concern in the 1700 block of 11th Street.  Officer located the reported male Huntsville resident and determined that he was highly intoxicated.  The subject was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue I where the complainant reported that her vehicle was damage while parked in a University parking area.

October 16, 2009

While at Sam Houston Village, officer observed a male non-university student urinating in public.  Upon investigation, it was determined that the male non-university student was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to the University Book Store in reference to a female student who exited the store with merchandise which was not paid for.  During the investigation, no items were found in the student's possession; however, at the request of the bookstore managment the student was issued a trespass warning for the bookstore.

Officer responded to a complaint of possible narcotics activity at White Hall.  Upon arrival, officer identified three male students.  At the conclusion of his investigation no arrests were made; however, all information gathered will be fowarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

Officer was dispatched to the Museum Grounds in reference to an individual attempting to gain access to vehicles.  Officer located a non-student male subject and subsequently issued him a trespass warning for University property.

October 15, 2009

While working a campus extra job, officer recognized a male student who had been issued a criminal trespass warning for the facilty. The male student was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass.

October 14, 2009

Officer responded to White Hall to assist with a medical call.

Officer was dispatched to Randall House where the complainant reported that the BearkatOne Card was used fraudulently without their consent.

Officer responded to assist Texas Ranger with a traffic stop in the 800 block of Cline Street.  Upon arrival, officer was informed that the driver was intoxicated.  Officer completed the investigation and arrested a male non-university student for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense.

Officer met with complainant who reported that he was scammed into sending a laptop computer oversees beleiving that he was receiving payment.  The payment came from a fraudulent account.

October 12, 2009

Officer responded to Gibb's Ranch where the complainant reported damaged university property.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged on the driver's side quarter panel while parked in White Hall parking area number two.

Officer was dispatched to Vick House in reference to a narcotics investigation.  Upon investigation, two male students were found to be in possession of contraband and one with marijuana.  One male student was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and second male student was arrested for the offenses of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

October 11, 2009

While providing police services at 3925 Highway 30, officer observed two individuals fighting with each other.  One male non-university student was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct-Fighting.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle damaged (scratched on the passenger side door).  Complainant provided suspect information and an investigation continues.

Officer was dispatched to the Teacher Education Center to assist with a medical call.

October 10, 2009

Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Bearkat Boulevard in reference to individuals urinating in public.   Upon arrival, officer identified a male univeristy student who was extremely intoxicated.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to the Track and Field storage unit, located in the Bowers Stadium Complex, in reference to a trespass report.  Upon arrival, officer found damage to the faciltiy caused by the trespassers.  A formal criminal complaint is being sought for one of the suspects identified.

October 9, 2009

Officer was dispatched to 3925 Highway 30 in reference to serving a warrant. Officer providing police services at an event identified a male university student with outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail.

Officer was dispatched to 919 Bearkat Boulevard in reference to a damaged window.  Officer's report indicated that it appeared a window was accidently broken.

Officer was dispatched to the 2100 block of Avenue J (university parking area) to assist with a medical call.

October 7, 2009

Officer was dispatched to the Lowman Student Center in reference to an unruly student.  Officer identified male student who was subsequently issued a trespass warning for the LSC.  The matter will be referred to the Dean of Students' Office.

Officer was dispatched to the Lowman Student Center in reference to a suspicious person.  While in the mall area the officer observed a male university student dancing in his underwear.  While speaking with the male he would not provide a true identity.  The male was arrested and charged with Failure to Identify.

While conducting a traffic stop  in the 1200 block of Josey Street, officer deteremined that the driver, a female resident of Huntsville, did not have a valid driver's license. After arresting the individual, officer located cocaine in the vehicle.  Subsequently, the driver was arrested, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, and other driving related offenses.

Officer was dispatched to Pritchett Field in reference to damaged University property.  Upon investigation, it was determined that a vehicle drove through the fence.  Information was gatehred and forwarded to the Business Office of the University.

Officer was dispatched to the CHSS Building in reference to a minor disturbance.  Upon arrival, officer identfied three female students who were involved in an arguement.  Information was gathered, a incident report was completed, and was forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

Officer assisted with a fight progress report located in the 5000 block of Sam Houston Avenue.  Upon arrival, officer identified a male non-university student who was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While assessing the welfare of a stopped vehicle in the middle of the roadway, officer determined that the female minor (a university student) was highly intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Officer was dispatched to the parking garage, located in the 1700 block of Avenue I, where the complainant reported being assaulted by two unknow males.  Investigation continues.

October 3, 2009

Officer met with complainant who reported that she left her purse unattended in Art Building D.  Upon returning, it was discovered that the purse was missing.

October 2, 2009

Officer identified an intoxicated male (a university student under the age of 21) who was involved in two verbal altercations in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue. Due to his intoxicated state, the male was arrested; however, during this process he resisted.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest and Public Intoxication-Minor.

Officer met with complainant who reported a suspicous male was possibly following her on campus.  A search of the area was conducted; however, no one matching the description could be located.  Investigation continues.

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village in reference to a suspicious odor report.  Upon investigation, it was etermined that a female university resident was in possession of an illegal substace.  Subsequenlty, the female was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

October 1, 2009

Complainant reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the Sam Houston Village parking garage area. A radar detector and a GPS unit were reported missing.  In addition, two other vehicles were found to be burglarized as well.  Investigation continues.

Officer was dispatched to Belvin Hall in reference to an intoxicated individual.  At this time the officer identified a male non-student who was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to Rachel Jackson House in reference to a argument between roommates.   Information was gathered and a inicdent report was completed.  Residence Life was contacted and a copy of the incident report has been sent to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

While assisting the Huntsville Police Department with a Theft in progress at 2304 Sam Houston Avenue,  officer was able to detain the suspect. Upon arrival of the Huntsville Police Department, the suspect was released to their custody.

September 25, 2009

Officer was dispatched to the Lee Drain Building in reference to an assault report.  Upon arrival, officer determined that three females were involved in some type of an altercation.  After obtaining information, the case will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

Officer met with complainant who reported that his vehicle was burglarized while parked in the Bearkat Village parking lot.  Complainant stated that an Iphone charger and a radar detector were missing from the vehicle, and there was no signs of forced entry into the vehicle.

Officer met with complainant at the HKC who reported that his unattended/unsecured backpack was stolen.

Officer met with complainant who reported that her vehicle was damaged while parked in the 20th Street parking area.

Officer was dispatched to King Hall in reference to a loud noise complaint.  Upon arrival, officer discovered seven university students, all minors, in possession of alcohol.  All were cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

While checking on a suspicious incident in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer discovered one male university student, and two other males.  Upon investigation, the male university student was determined to be furnishing alcohol to a minor.  The student was arrested and charged with the offense of Purchase/Furnish Alcohol to a Minor.  A second male was charged with the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol and the third male was released.

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village in reference to a disturbance report.  Upon investigation, it was determined that a male and female student had been in an altercations.  Subsequently, the female was arrested and charged with Interference with an Emergency Phone Call and Assault Family Violence.

Officer spoke with complainant, via telephone, who reported a BBQ pit stolen from the back of White Hall.

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village in reference to a stolen vehicle report.  Officer met with complainant who stated that his 2001 black Dodge Dakota pickup could not be located.  The vehicle was entered into the stolen files database.  On September 21, 2009 the complainant contacted our department and stated that he had located his vehicle in another parking lot on campus.  Vehicle was removed from the stolen files database.

Officer was dispatched to Belvin-Buchanan Hall in reference to an alochol violation report.  A male non-student was identified and was determined to be intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officer met with complainant who reported taht his identity was used to obtain a cash advance via the internet.

September 18, 2009

Officer was dispatched to Mallon House in reference to a alcohol violation report.  Upon arrival officer identified four male university students, all under age 21, who were extremely intoxicated.  Subsequently, all four males were arrested and chaged with the offense of Public Intoxication.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 5000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a male university student, was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Officer met with complainant who reported that her vehicle's winshield was damaged.  Complainant beleives the damage was caused by an individual with whom she had a verbal disagreement with in a parking lot on campus.

Officer met with complainant who reported that they discovered fraudulent activity on their BearkatOne Card.

Officer was dispatched to 1608 Avenue J in reference to a disturbance.  Upon investigation, it was determined that two roommates had been in an altercation.  One student was cited for Assault and released.

A stolen parking permit was found affixed to another vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was identifed as a female university student.  The student has been referred to the Dean of Students' Office for review of the incident.

Officer met with complainant who reported that they discovered fraudulent charges on their BearkatOne Card accounty.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1200 block 17th Street, officer determined that a passenger in the vehicle was wanted on outstanding felony warrants.  The female non-university student was taking into custody and transported to the Walker County Jail.

Officer was dispatched to White Hall in reference to an reported alcohol violation.  Upon arrival, officer determined that three minor students (2 males and 1 female) were in possession of alcohol.  Subsequently, all three individuals received citations for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

While on patrol in the 1900 block of Univeristy Avenue, officer recognized a male non-student walking in the parking lot.  It should be noted that this individual has an active criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property.  After a brief struggle, the male was taking into custody and charged with the offense of Criminal Trespass.

Officer was dispatched to White Hall in reference to a student violation.  Upon arrival, officer met with residence life staff who reported an alcohol violation.   During the officer's investigation, it was determined that a 20 year-old male student was in possession of alcohol.  The student was cited and released.

Officer dispatched to the 2300 block of Avenue M in reference to a vehicle removing University property.  The vehicle was located and stopped.  Officer discovered University property on a trailer.  The suspect stated that he had permission from the Athletic Department.  Property was returned and Athletics was contacted in reference to the incident which has been determined to be a breakdown in communication.

Officer responded to the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue in reference to a suspicious person.  Upon investigation, it was determined that the male North Dakota resident was extremely intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the male driver, Huntsville resident, was in possession of a controlled substance.  The individual was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Officer responded to 2501 Lake Road to assist the Huntsville Police Department in reference to a fight in progress.  While speaking with two males, both under age 21 and non-university students, who were associated with the incident, officer determined that they were intoxicated.  Both males were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication of a Minor.

Officer responded to 555 Bowers Boulevard to assist the Huntsville Police Department with a suspicious person call (indecent exposure).  After identifying the suspect, the male was issued a criminal trespass warning for SHSU property.

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village in reference to a verbal disturbance.  Upon arrival and investigation, officer determined that a male and female were in a argument.  After determining that the male was not a student, the male was issueda criminal trespass warning for the campus to prevent any further issues.

While in the 200 block of Bearkat Boulevard, officer observed what he beleived to be was an intoxicated person attempting to drive from their current location. Due to the indivduals extreme condition, the male was unable to start his vehicle.  Upon identifying the male, it was determined that he was extremely intoxicated. Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with the offense of Public Intoxication of a Minor and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

August 28, 2009

Officer responded to the 1700 block of Avenue I in reference to a fight in progress report.  Upon arrival, officer met with a female student who was extremely intoxicated.  The female student was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Avenue I in reference to reports recieved from witnesses that a male and female were involved in an altercation.  As a result of the investigation, a male non-student was arrested for the offense of Assault Family Violence, and the female was arrested as well (see above release).

While providing police services for an event in the Lowman Student Center, officer arrested two males (one student, one non-university student) for the offense of Disorderly Conduct Fighting in Public.

Officer responded to Gibbs House in reference to a suspicious substance report.  Upon arrival, the officer was directed to the residence in question and observed marijuana in a baseball cap lying on the bed. Later, the owner of the hat returned to the residence and confirmed that the marijuana belonged to him.  The male student was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue I in reference to a possible intoxicated person.  Upon arrival, officer identified a20 year-old female student and after checking her welfare, determined that she was highly intoxicated.  The female student was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication of a Minor.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 20 year-old male University student, was intoxicated.  Subsequently, the driver was issued a citation for the offense of Driving Under the Influence Alcohol by a Minor and released.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the male driver, a male resident of Huntsville, Texas, was in possession of marijuana.  The driver was charged with the offenses of Possession of Marijuana and No Driver's License.

Officer conducted a pedestrian stop in the Raven Village parking lot where he identified three university students (twol under 21) in possession of alcohol.  During the officers investigation, he also determined that the individuals were in possession of contraband.  Subsequently, the three students were arrested and charged with multiple offenses that include Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor, Possesssion of Marijuana, Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

While attempting to stop a fight at the LSC, a male student ran from a University Police Officer.  After a breif chase the student was caught and arrested.  The student was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Evading Arrest/Detention.

Officer responded to the 1200 block of 22nd Street to assist a Huntsville Police Officer.  While on scene, officer located marijuana on a subject that was detained by the Huntsville Officer.  All items found were turned over to the Huntsville Police Department.

Officer observed a vehicle dumping furniture from the bed of a truck.  The driver of the vehicle then fled the location.  Officer stopped the vehicle and identified the male non-student driver.  At this time the driver was determined to be intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence Alcohol-Minor. Investigation continues in reference to the furniture being dicarded in the roadway.

Officer was dispatched the Alpa Chi Omega House in reference to a "Speak with Officer".  Upon arrival, officer was informed that a male and female minor were involved in inappropriate behavior.  Camp staff was notified of the reported incident and an initial investigation was conducted.  At this time no charges are pending.

Officer responded to the Smith-Hutson Building in regards a reported fire.  Upon arrival, officer located a trash can that caught fire.  Officer determined that the fire was started when heated metal came into contact with paper material in the trash can.  The fire was extinguished.  There were no reported injuries or damages to the building.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in the 20th Street pakring lot.

While conducting a traffic stop 3100 block of SH30W at 4:30 AM, officer determined that the driver, a 17 year-old male, was driving a vehicle without permission and had provided a false name and date-of-birth.  The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Failure to Identify and other traffic related offenses.  The remaining three other male juveniles in the vehicle were released to a guardian.

Officer observed a group of individuals in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue (all juveniles) running back in forth through traffic.  Subsequently, one juvenile was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center and held for Obstrucitng a Highway.  The remaining three were released to a legal guardian.

At 10:30 PM a female student reported that she was assaulted by an unknown black male near the LSC male area. At the time of the assault, department security personnel were in the area and observed the complainant; however, they indicated that they did not observe an assault take place, nor did the complainant seem to be in distress.  Investigation to continue.

While attempting to make a traffic stop, vehicle refused to pull over and the officer engaged in a low speed pursuit.  The pursuit began in the intersection of Bearkat Boulevard and Avenue I and concluded in the 1000 block of Avenue N.  The male driver then exited his vehicle and fled on foot.  The male non-student was caught moments later and arrested for the offense of Evanding Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle.

Officer was flagged down by a male in the 5000 block of Sam Houston Avenue in reference to reported car trouble.  While speaking with the male, officer determined that two of the individuals with the group were extremely intoxicated.  During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that a male non-student and female non-student were possession of a controlled substance.  Both were arrested and charged with mulitple offenses.

While conducting patrol activities in the Administration Parking Lot, officer discoverd a portion of steel fence was damaged by an unknow person.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Sycamore Avenue, officer determined that the student male driver was driving with a suspended identification card and did not have insurance.  The non-student male was taken into custody.  Also, a female student was taken into custody for failure to identify (provided false name and date of birth).  During the officer's investigation, he also determined that the individudals were in possession of a controlled substance.  Subsequently, 1 male and 3 females were arrested for multiple offenses that included Possession of Controled Substance. It should be noted that all four individuals arrested are students.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 400 block of Bearkat Boulevard, officer determined that the driver, a 20 year-old female student, was driving a vehicle after consuming alcohol.  Furthermore, officer determined that the driver was in possession of alcohol. Subsequently, the driver was issued a citation for the offense of Minor in Possession and Open Container in Vehicle.

Officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the 1500 block of 11th Street with its driver's side door adjar.  Upon investigation, officer observed an individual sleeping with his head partially protruding from the vehicle.  It was determined that the male was highly intoxicated.  the occupant was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 1600 block of Marks Driver, subject ran from officer.  After catching the individual, the male non-university student was arrested and charged with the following offenses: Criminal Trespass; Resisting Arrest; Evading Arrest; and Assault on a Public Servant.

Officer observed a male pedestrian, non-university student, whom he recognized as being wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail.

While conducting patrol activities in the Holleman Field and the Agriculture Mechanical area, officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the complex.  Upon further investigation, it was determined that the occupant, a male non-university student, was highly intoxicated.  The subject was arrested and charged with the offense of Public Intoxication.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Sycamore Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 21 year-old male student, was operating a vehicle with a suspended license.  Furthermore, it was determined that the driver was in possession of a controlled substance.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving while License Suspended/Invalid and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

While on patrol, officer observed a suspicious male in the Sam Houston Village parking garage area.  The individual was identified as a 37 year-old male non-university student.  Upon investigation, it was determined that the male was burglarizing vehicles.  The male was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.

Officer responded to Belvin Hall in reference to two students involved in an argument.  Infromation was gathered and it will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

A nude picture of a victim was taken without her consent while modeling for an art class.  An investigation was conducted.  At this point the information has been sent to the Dean of Students' Office review and final status is dependant upon victim.

Officer was dispatched to the CHSS Building in reference to an assault.  The victim reported that at approximately 10 PM she was assaulted by an unknown male in the parking lot near Radael/Vick/Spivey parking area.  The victim described the suspect as a white male approximately 30 to 40 years of age, approximately 6'2", long dark hair, wearing a black leather jacket with baggy pants.  Anyone with information should contact the University Police Department or Crime Stoppers.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the Estill Hall parking lot. Forced entry was located and the victim reported a missing cell phone, and charger, and U.S. currency.

Officer was dispatched to assist the Huntsville Police Department in reference to a call regarding students terrorizing another student with questionable telephone calls.  Suspects were identified; however, the victim did not wish to pursue a criminal complaint.  At this time a report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

At 1:56 AM, officers were dispatched to the Pritchett Field area in reference to an "Robbery" report.  Uon arrival, officers located a female who reported that she was sitting in her vehicle and as she opened her door she felt a stinging pain and believes she passed out.  Upon waking, she was no longer in her vehicle.  Upon examing the contents of her vehicle, the victim reported that a credit card and cash was missing.  An investigation is continuing.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Montgomery Road, officer determined that the driver, a 20 year old female student, was intoxicated.  The driver was cited for the offense of Driving Under the Influence Alcohol-Minor and released to a sober driver.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1400 block of 20th Street, officer determined that the driver, a 19 year-old male non-university student, was intoxicated.  The driver was cited for the offenses of Drivng Under the Influence Alcohol-Minor and Speeding. The driver was then released to his mother.

While assisting an officer with a traffic stop in the 1400 block of 20th Street, officer identified a second vehicle which presented a hazard to their safety.  After the vehicle was stopped, the officer identified the driver, a 20 year-old male student, and determined that he too was intoxicated.  The driver was cited for the offense of Driving Under the Influence Alcohol-Minor, and was then released to a sober person.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the North Kirkley parking lot.

April 17, 2009

While conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of 17th Street and University Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 23 year-old male student, was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated.

Officer met with complainant in the Coliseum parking lot who reported that his vehicle was burglarized.  Several components related to stereo and video were taking from the vehicle.  It should be noted that an officer met with a second complainant who reported that her vehicle had also been burglarized while parked in this area.

Officer met with a complainant in the Coliseum parking lot who reported that she was missing a blue iPod nano from her vehicle.

Officers responded to Estill Hall in reference to a disturbance report.  Upon investigation, the complainant reported that she was assaulted by her female roommate.  An offense report was taken and a copy will also be forwarded to the Dean of Student's Office for review.

Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Bowers Boulevard in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, officers observed to males fighting. Both were identified as male students and were subsequently arrested.  It should be noted that both were roommates and were charged with the offense of Assault-Family Violence.

Officer met with complainant who reported that his vehicle was damaged while parked in the 1300 block of 17th Street on University property.

While assessing the welfare of a 23 year-old male non-university student in the 1700 block of Sycamore, officer determined that the male was intoxicated.  Also, the officer determined that the male was in possession of illegal contraband.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Prohibited Substance within a Correctional Facility, Failure to Identify, and Public Intoxication.

Officer met with complainant who reported that he had misplaced a briefcase belonging to him.

Officer met with complainant in the Library parking lot who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in the lot.

Officer observed an individual in the 1300 block of 17th Street who was passed out.  Emergency medical services were contacted and subsequently transported a male to Huntsville Memorial Hospitial for further treatment.b

April 15, 2009

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 17th Street, officer determined that the driver, a 19 year-old male studet, was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of False Identification, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Officer was dispatched to the 1800 block of Avenue I in reference to a disturbance.   Upon investigation, it was determined that the individuals were involved in an argument.  At this time the female (a non-univeristy student) was allowed to report to work. The male (a non-student and non-employee of the university) was issued a criminal trespass warning and was requested to leave the area.

Officer met with complainant who reported that fraudulent charges were found on their BearkatOne Card account.

A 20 year-old male university student and a 18 year-old female university student were arrested at Sam Houston Village after an investigation revealed that they were in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Office responded to the 2200 block of Avenue M to investigate a hit and run accident.  A unknown operator of a vehicle struck a university vehicle and fled from the scene.  On April 15, 2009, the vehicle was located and the driver was identified.  Investigation is continuing.

While checking on the welfare of an individual in the 1500 block of Avenue I, officer determined that the 39 year-old male non-university student was intoxicate.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While checking an unsecure vehicle in the King parking lot, officer located drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.  During the investigation, it was determined that a 19 year-old male student was in possession of illegal narcotics.  The student was arrested and charged with the offense of Possession of a Dangerous Drug.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Marks Driver, the officer determined that the driver, a 17 year-old male non-university student, was intoxicated.  Also, the passenger, a 17 year-old male non-university student, was intoxicated.  Subsequently, the driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence. The passenger was arrested and charged with the offense of Public Intoxication.

Officer met with complainant who reported that personal property was stolen from the horse stables locaed in the Ag Complex.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their BearkatOne Card had fraudulent charges made on the account without their knowledge.

While attempting to make a traffic sotp in the 2000 block of Marks Driver, officer observed an individual in the vehicle throwing objects out.  Once stopped, both subjects were identified as male non-university students.  During the investigation, it was determined that the objects thrown from the vehicle were illegal narcotics.  Subsequently, both individuals were arrested and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Tampering with Evidence.  The driver of the vehicle was also charged with Driving While License Suspended.

Officer met with a SHSU employee who reported the theft of a cordless drill at the Beakat Village housing complex.

Officer was dispatche to the 1300 block of 17th Street in reference to an accident investigation. During the officer's investigation, it was determined that a female student struck a vehicle and then left the scene of the accident.  The female stduent was located and cited for Fail to Stop and Give Information.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Lake Road, officer determined that the 30 year male driver, was in possession of marijuana.  At the conclusion of the investigation, the driver was arrested and charged with the offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 19 year-old male university student, was in possession of marijuana.  Also, it was determined by the investigating officer that the passenger, also a 19 year-old male university student, was also in possession of marijuana.  Subsequently, both were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.

Officer detained individual for the Huntsville Police Department in reference to a Theft that had occurred at Wal-Mart.  The subject was arrested by the Huntsville Police Department.

Officer was dispatched to Barrett House in reference to a Burglary report.  Upon investigation, officer determined that two non-students were responsible for burglarzing the the residence.  The two indivduals were arrested and charged with the Second Degree Felony Offense of Burglary.  On April 6th, a second individual, a male student, was arrested for his involvement in the burglary.  The male student was charged with Tampering with a Witness and Possession of Stolen Property.

Officer was dispatched to King Hall in reference to a suspicious odor report.  Upon investigation, it was determined that the 20 year-old male student was in possession of marijuana.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Interference with the Public Duties of an Officer, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.  Also, two other individuals, two 19 year-old male students, were also cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Officers responded to Bearkat Village in reference to a disturbance.  Upon investigation, officers discovered a damaged room; however, the resident was no longer on site.  After locating the resident, it was determined that they were safe and they further reported there was no physical violence.  The report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for further review.

Officer was dispatched to the Art Building to assist with a medical call.

While returning to campus, officer observed a suspicious vehicle at a private business.  As the vehicle left the business, it drove without its headlights on.  The officer conducted a traffic stop on this vehicle and determined that three males had removed property from the business without the owner's consent.  The three offenders were determined to be students who belonged to fraternity on campus.  The owner did not wish to pursue criminal charges at this time.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Bowers Boulevard, officer determined that the driver, a 19 year-old male student, was wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and booked into the Walker County Jail for the warrants of arrest.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their BearkatOne Card account had fraudulent charges listed.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 33 year-old male non-student, was in possession of marijuana.  Subsequently, the driver was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and charged with other traffic related offenses.

Officer was dispatched to Vick House in reference to an "Alcohol Violation" report.  Upon arrival, officer determined that a 19 year-old male student was in possession of alcohol.  The male was cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol and released.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, an 18 year-old male student, was intoxicated.  The driver was cited for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol-Minor.  Also, it was determined that the passenger, a 19 year-old male student, was in possession of alcohol.  This individual was charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

March 28, 2009

While providing police services for a SHSU event, officer was approaced by a vehicle whose occupants were asking for directions.  After rolling down the window, officer was overcome by the smell of burnt marijuana.  The vehicle was subsequently pulled over where all of the occupants were identified (3 male non-students).  Upon investigation, officer determined that one of the occupants was in possession of marijuana and a dangerous drug, another was in possession of alcohol and tobacco (underage), and the third male also had tobacco (underage).  Subsequently, one was arrested for Posssession of Marijuana and Possession of a Dangerous Drug, the remaining two were issued citations for the offenses of Minor in Possession of Alcoho and Minor in Possession of Tobacco.

Officer was dispatched to Raven Nest Golf Course to assist with a medical call.

Officer spoke with complainant who reported that their SHSU student had not been heard from since Thursday, March 26th.  Subsequently, the student was listed as a missing person.  On March 29th, the student's vehicle was located, along with the student, in New Waverly, Texas. The student's parents were contacted and met with him at that location. The student was removed from the missing person database.

Officer was flagged down by a pedestrian in reference to a possible intoxicated person in the 1600 block of Avenue I.  Upon speaking with the individual, officer determined that the 19 year-old male student was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication Minor.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 21 year male non-student, was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.  Also, the officer determined that a 20 year old male student passenger was in possession of alcohol.  This individual was cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

While assessing the welfare of two male students (both under the age of 21) near Sam Houston Village, officer determined that both were intoxicated.  During the investigation, officers found two bottles containing urine.  When asked about the bottles of urine, the males stated that the urine was for friends to pass a drug test.  Subsequently, both were charged with Dalsification of Drug Test Results and for the offense of Public Intoxication Minor.

Officer responded to the Industrial Technology Building, located off Avenue M, where the complainant reported graffiti was found on the building.

Officer was dispatched to an area near the Residence Life Building in reference to a suspcious vehicle.  Upon arrival and investigation, it was determined that an 18 year-old male non-student, was in possession of alcohol.  The individual was cited and released.

While off duty, office observed a male with a 2x4 piece of lumber striking a vehicle in a parking lot.  Officer observed the male cause significant damage to the vehicle.  As officer approached and identified himself, the suspect entered an awaiting vehicle and fled.  After notifying other law enforcment, the vehicle was stopped where the officer identified the driver of the vehicle as the one who fled; however, one of the suspects was no longer on scene.  Subsequently, a 19 year-old male student was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest with a Vehicle.

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village in reference to an intoxicated individual.  Upon arrival, officer located a 19 year-old female student was crying and could not maintain her balance.  The female was arrested and charged with the offense of Public Intoxication.

Officer were dispatched to Estill Hall in reference to a disturbance.  As a result, officer arrested a 25 year-old male non-student for the offesne of Public Intoxication.  During the investigation, is was determined that the male gained access to the building by a female resident(s) who felt sorry for the individaul.  While letting the male use their dorm facilities, the male became aggressvie and combative.

On this date, officers met with seven complainants who reported that their BearkatOne Card accounts had numerous unauthorized charges made to them without their knowledge.

Officer responded to the 1900 block of Avenue I in reference to a Vehcile-Pedestrian Accident report.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that he was struck by a university vehicle. The complainant reported that he did not sustain serious injury.  A report was taken and has been filed.

On this date, the University Police Department took reports from three complainants who reported that their BearkatOne Cards had been used fraudulenty without their knowledge.

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village in reference to an alcohol violation report.  Upon arrival, officer determined that nine individuals (4 females and 5 males) were under the age of 21 and in possession of alcohol.  As a result all nine individuals were issued citations for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Officer met with complainant who reported that her cell phone was stolen from her while she was attending class.

While providing police services at the Coliseum, officer responded to a fight in progress.  As officer arrived, he was able to detain one individual, a 17 year-old male non-student, as the other fled.  Subsequently, the individual was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass since he had been issued a criminal trespass warning for campus property prior to this incident.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked at Bearkat Village.

While conducting a traffic stop at the intersection of Avenue O and 19th Street, officer determined that the driver, a 61 year-old male non-student, was wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest.  Subsequently, the driver was arrested and taken to the Walker County Jail.

While providing a civil service standby during an employment action, a 60 year-old male became unruly and causing a disturbance within an academic building.  The male refused to leave the building and refused to be escorted out by the officer.  After a brief struggle, the male was arrested for Interfering with the Duties of a Public Servant.

Officer met with student complainant who reported that while at an off campus location she was verbally assaulted by a former boyfriend.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, 28 year-old male non-student, was driving without a license.  The driver was arrested for the offense of No Driver's License and the vehicle was impounded.

Officer located a suspect in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue who was reported to the Huntsville Police Department as having burglarized a vehicle.  After an investigation by the officer, the 36 year-old male was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Vehicle, Theft, and Credit Card Abuse.

Officers responded to Lizards, located in the 1200 block of Josey Street, to assist the Huntsville Police Department with a disturbance call.

While conducting patrol procedures in the 2100 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer observed two females in a verbal altercation in the Taco Bell parking lot.  Upon investigation, it was determined that a 19 year-old female student was highly intoxicated.  Subsequently, the female was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication - Minor.

February 19, 2009

Officer was dispatched to AB IV to assist with a medical call.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 800 block of Bowers Boulevard, officer determined that the driver, a 28 year-old female student, was driving with a suspended license and had no proof of insurance.  As a result, the driver was arrested and charged with Driving While License Suspended, No Insurance, and Disregarding a Red LIght.

A student repoted that sometime between 8 PM and midnight, he was assaulted and robbed.  The victim reported that the incident took place on the north side of King Hall (in between King Hall and the Health Center).  The victim stated that he did not know who is attackers were and was only able to provide basic descriptions (two black males and a white male).  At the time of the report, no other witnesses could be located.  If you have any information pertaining to this incident, please contact Detective Alan Plunkett at 936-294-4543 or the University Police at 936-294-1794.

Officers responded to Jackson-Shaver Hall in reference to a disturbance.  Upon identifiy the invloved students who were involved in a arguement, officer determined that no physcial violence had occurred.  A report was taking and the matter will be referred to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

February 18, 2009

Officer responded to the Jolly Fox parking lot in reference to a large fight that was in progress.  While on scene, officer discovered a 23 year-old male student who was highly intoxicated.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While conducting a traffic/accident investigation in the 1500 block of University, officer determined that one of the drivers, a 22 year-old male non-university student, was intoxicated.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Officer met with complainant who reported that she was sexually assaulted by another female. The incidents reported took place over an approximate two year period; however, the complainant did not want to pursue a formal criminal complaint.  After the department's investigation, the incident will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review to determine if there was a violation of the University's Code of Stduent Conduct.

Officer was dispatched to area near Raven Village where a male was seen lying in the grass near a tree.  Upon investigation, officer determined that the 18 year-old male university student was passed out due to heavy alcohol consumption.  The individual was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officers were dispatched to Sam Houston Village in reference to an intoxicated person.  Upon arrival, 19 year-old male university student was located who was found to be intoxicated. The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village in reference to a loud noise complaint.  During the officer's investigation, it was determined that the 20 year-old male student resident was in possession of alochol.  The student was issued a citation for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village in reference to a suspicious persons report. Upon arrival, officer identified the group (17 year-old male student, 20 year-old male student, 23 year-old male student, and a 26 year-old male student). While speaking with the group, officer determined that all of the males were highly intoxicated. Subsequently, all four males were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officer met with a staff member with the Student Activities Department who reported that their trailer with built-in pit was stolen.

Officer was dispatched to Randel House in reference to a suspicious odor report.  Upon arrival, officer determined that a 18 year-old female student was in possession of marijuana.  The female was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Marks Driver, officer determined that the driver, a 32 year-old male non-student, was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.  After confirmation, the driver was arrested and taken to the Walker County Jail.

February 8, 2009

Officer was dispatched to the Jack in the Box in refernce to a welfare concern report.   Upon arrrival, officer found an individual slumpped over in the driver, in the drive thru lane, and with the vehicle still running.  After gaining access to the vehicle and securing it, the driver, a 32 year-old male non-student, was determined to be highly intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Officer was dispatched to the Bearkat Plaza area in reference to a suspicious person report.  Upon arrival, officer located a 24 year-old male student who was extremely intoxicated. The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Avenue M, officer determined that the driver, a 23 year-old male non-student, did not have a driver's license or insurance.  The driver was arrested and charged with No Insurance and Driving While License Invalid/Suspended.

Officer was dispatched to the Gresham Library in reference to a disturbance.  Officer obtained information from complainant in regards to being verbally assaulted by a student.  The information will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review.

February 7, 2009

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston, officer determined that the driver, a 20 year-old non-student, was intoxicated. The driver was arrested for the offense of Driving Under the Influence Alcohol-Minor.

Officer was dispatched to the Summit Apartments to assist the Huntsville Police Department with a Domestic Disturbance report.  While at the scene, officer determined that a 36 year old male non-student was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1400 block of 19th Street, officer determined that the driver, 20 year-old male student, was in possession of a ficticious driver's lilcense.  While speaking with the driver, he admitted to using the license at a local bar to purchase alcohol.  This male was issued a citation for Minor Consuming Alcohol and the ficticious driver's license was seized.  A passenger in the vehicle., a 20 year-old male student, was determined to be highly intoxicated.  The passeger was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication. The other male was released to a sober driver.

Officer was dispatched to assist the Huntsville Police Department in reference to an individual stealing a case of beer from a local store.   Officer located the vehicle and preformed a traffic stop.  During his investigation, it was determined that the driver, a 22 year-old male non-student, was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.  A passenger in the vehicle, a male 18 year-old non-student, was also extremely intoxicated.  The passenger was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.  An additional passenger in the vehilce was positively identifed for the theft and was released to the Huntsville Police Department for further investigation.

February 6, 2009

While conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of 16th Street and Avenue O, officer determined that the driver, a 19 year-old male student, was intoxicated.  As a result, the driver was cited for the offense of Driving Under the Influence.

Officer was dispatched to the Richmond Apartments, located at 2207 Ave J, to assist a Huntsville Police Officer with a criminal trespass call.  Upon officer's arrival, the suspect was located in the complainant's apartment and was refusing to leave.  The suspect engaged the officer in a physical altercation. After subduing the suspect and placing him in custody, it was determined that he was in possession controlled substances and high on cocaine.  The 26 year-old non-student was arrested and charged with multiple offenses.

Officer was dispatched to Mallon House in reference to an alochol violation.  Upon investigation, officer determined that three males, all under the age of 21 (2 non-students and one student) were in possession of alcohol.  All three males were issued a citation for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

While conducting patrol activities near Jackson-Shaver parking lot number two, officer observed a male who appeared to be having a difficult time walking.  Upon further investigation, it was determined that the 18 year-old male student was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

During a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Montgomery Road, officer determined that the driver, a 20year old male student, was in possession of alochol.  The driver was issued a citation for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

While investigating a suspicious person call in the Jackson-Shaver parking lot, officer determined that an 18 year-old male student was intoxicated.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While conducting patrol activities in the Jackson-Shaver parking lot, officer discovered that a male 19 year-old student and a 18 year-old female non-student were smoking marijuana.  As a result, the male was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Minor in Possession of Alcohol. The female was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication-Minor.

After coming into contact with two female university students in the Jackson-Shaver Parking Lot, officer determined that both were highly intoxicated.  Both underage female students were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 20 year-old male non-student, was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The driver was arrested and taken to the Walker County Jail.

Officer met with complainant who reported that the organization's checks had been stolen and fraudulent checks had been written at local merchants in Huntsville.

Whle conducting a traffic stop in the 23200 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 20 year-old male student, was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The driver was arrested and taken to the Walker County Jail.

Officer was dispatched to Baldwin House in reference to a suspicous odor report.  Upon arrival and during the officer's investigation, it was determined that a 19 year-old male student was in possession of marijuana.  The male student was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

February 2, 2009

Officer was dispatched to Jackson-shaver Hall in reference to an alcohol violation report.  Upon investigation it was determined that 7 students (3 female 4 females) all under the age of 21 were in possession of alochol.  Each student was cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.  In addition, one student who failed to ID, who then resisted arrest, was taken into custody and charged with Failure to Identify and Resisting Arrest.  All were asked to return to their respective residences within Jackson-Shaver.  As an officer was leaving, one of the minors was found outside in a public place.  At this time the female student was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

While out at the jail booking in the female student for Public Intoxication, her boyfriend, a 19 year-old male non-student arrived at the jail.  Officer was informed of this information by jail staff and the officer met with him.  At this time it was determined that the male was highly intoxicated.  Subsequenlty, the male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to the HKC in reference to an injured student.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 500 block of Bowers Boulevard, officer determined that the driver, a 20 year-old male non-student, was wanted on several outstanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and taken to the Walker County Jail.

While investigating a suspcious person driving through a parking lot, officer could not gain the compliance of the individual.  At this time the 19 year-old male non-student was taken into custody and charged with Inerference with the Duties of a Public Servant.

February 1, 2009

While conducting a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer began a DWI investigation.  While interviewing the suspect outside of the vehicle, the suspect fled.  After a brief foot pursuit, the 36 year-old male non-student was caught.  Through the investigation, the male was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Evading Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and other minor offenses.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Mark's Driver, officer determined that the driver, a 19 year-old female student, was intoxicated.  The driver was cited for the offense of DUI-Minor.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 20 year-old male non-student, was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 21 year-old female student, was intoxicated.  Subsequently, the driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Officer met with Huntsville/Walker County Emergency Medical Services and assisted with a medical call.

While investigating a suspicious vehicle parked in the Museum Grounds after operational hours, discoverd that an occupant of the vehicle was highly intoxicated, in possession of alcohol, and was a minor.  At this time the 20 year-old non-student was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

While checking on a suspicious circumstances concerning a vehilce parked in a parking lot, located in the 2700 block of Sam Houston, officer found a 58 year-old male asleep in his vehicle.  Upon questioning, officer determined that the occupant of the vehilce was intoxicated.  The 58 year-old male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to Barrett House in reference to an alcohol violation report.  Upon officer's investigation, it was determined that a 19 year-old male student was in possession of alcohol. The male student was cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Officer wasd dispatched to Estill Hall where the complainant reported that a laptop computer was stolen from her residence.

Officer was dispatched the 1000 block of 17th Street in reference to a suspicious person.  At this time the officer identifed a 23 year-old male student who was highly intoxicated.  The male student was arrested and charged with the offense of Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to the Nort Stadium Lot where the complainant reported that their vehilce was damged by a university vehicle while legally parked.

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village to assist with a medical call.

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village in reference to an alcohol violation.  During the officer's investigation, it was determined that a 19 year-old female student and a 20 year-old male student were in possession of alochol and drug paraphernalia.  Both were cited for the offenses of Minor in Possesssion of Alcohol and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

January 25, 2009

Officer was dispatched to Crawford House in reference to a reported alochol violation.  During the officer's investigation, it was determined that three male university students (two 19 year-olds and one 18 year-old) were in possession of alcohol.  Subsequently, all three individuals were cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 1400 block of Avnue I, it was determined that the 20 year-old male non-student was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest. The individual was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail.

Officer was dispatched to the corner of 13th Street and University Avenue in reference to a disturbance report.  Upon arrival, it was determined by the officer that a 24 year-old male non-university student was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

January 24, 2009

Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Bowers Boulevard in reference to an intoxicated driver.  The vehicle was located and was subsequently stopped.  During the officer's investigation, officer concluded that the driver, a19 year-old male student was intoxicated.  The driver was issued a citation for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol-Minor and were released to a sober adult.

January 23, 2009

Officer was flagged down by a tow truck operator and informed the officer of a suspicious male looking into windows of a closed business.  Officer located the individual in the 1100 block of Sycamore Avenue.  Upon investigation, officer determined that the 29 year-old male non-student was intoxicated and in possession of drug paraphernalia.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Officer responded to the North Stadium parking area where complainants reported that four vehicles had been burglarized.

Complainant reported that her laptop computer was stolen from her while attending class in AB V from an unattended backpack.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in the Colisuem Parking Lot.

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the 47 year-old male non-student was wanted on a felony warrant.  Subject was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail.

January 22, 2009

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village in reference to an alcohol violation.  During his investigation, it was dtermined that two male 19 year-old students were in possession of alcohol.  Both were cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Officer met with complainant who reported who reported that his university computer account was breached and unauthorized emails were sent from his account.  The computer services department has been notified and an investigation continues.

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village in reference to a contraband complaint.  During the officers investigation, he determined that a 19 year-old female student was in possession of marijuana.  At this time the investigation in continuing.

Officer met with complainant who reported that his cell phone was stolen while he was in the HKC. The cell phone was left unattended againt a wall.

Officer met with two complainants who reported that their vehicles were burglarized while parked in the Raven Village parking area.

While conducting patrol activities near Sorority Hill, officer determined that a 29 year-old female student was wanted on two outstanding warrants of arrest.  The female student was arrested and booked into the Walker County Jail.

Officer was dispatched to a vehiclular accident.  During his investigation, it was determined that a driver, while attempting to avoid a stray animal, lost control of their vehicle and struck a sign at the intersection of Marks and Bowers Boulevard.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Avenue I, officer determined that the driver, a 21 year-old male non-university student, was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in the 20th Street parking lot.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a 26 year-old male non-student, did not have a driver's license, no insurance, and had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.  The driver was arrested and charged with multiple violations.

Officer was dispatched to Barrett House in reference to an alochol violation.  Upon investigation, officer determined that a 19 year-old male university student, was in possession of alochol.  The male student was cited for the offense.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Lake Road, officer determined that the driver, a 19 year-old female student, was intoxicated.  The female was then cited for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a minor.

Officer met with complainant who reported that his unattended backpack was stolen from the HKC.  The backpack was left in one of the cubby holes located in the gym area.

January 16, 2009

While conducting a traffic stop in the 400 block of Olive Street, officer determined that the driver, a 34 year-old male non-student, was intoxicated.  During the stop, the male became combative and threaten to kill a officer once he was released from custody.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Risisting Arrest, and Retaliation.

Officer met with two complainants who reported that their vehicles were burglarized while parked in the 900 block of Bearkat Boulevard.

January 15, 2009

Officer was checking on the welfare of a male who was slumped against a trash dumpster behind Tops and Bottoms Sports Bar.  During the officer's investigation, it was determined that the 22 year-old male, a student from the University of Colorado, was extremely intoxicated.  While attempting to take the male into custody, the individual became combative and a secodary officer had to assist.  The male was arrested and charge with Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest.

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village in reference to a domestic disturbance report.  Upon arrival, officer identified a male and female student who had been arguing.  During the officer's investigation, it was determined that one of the involved parties has sustained minor injuries and there were damages sustained in the residence.  At this time the male student was arrested and charged with Assault/Family Violence.

January 13, 2009

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2200 blok of Marks Drive, officer determined that the driver, a 22 year-old male student, was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated.

Officer met with complainant who reported that sometime between December 11th and January 11th, clothing articles were removed from her residence (without her consent) located in Mallon House.

Officer met with complainant who reported that a dry erase board was removed from room 110 in AB III.

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in a student parking lot located in the 1300 block of 17th Street.

January 12, 2009

Officer met with complainant who reported that she had misplaced her cell phone.  Upon contacting her cell phone, the other party demanded money in order for the safe return of her phone.  A meeting place was set and the victim met with the individual, along with Univeristy Police.  The individual with the complainat's cell phone was subsequently cited for the offense of Possession of Stolen property.

January 11, 2009

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2000 of Marks Drive, officer determined that the driver, a 20 year-old male student, had two outstanding warrants of arrest through the Huntsville Municipal Court.  The driver was arrested and booked into the Walker County Jail for the outstanding warrants.

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village in reference to an Alcohol Violation.  Upon arrival, officer determined that a 19 year-old male student was in possession of alcohol. The male student was cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Officer initiated contact with three males (all non-students) who were urinating in public on Sycamore Avenue.  Officer was not able to identify the subjects, all were highly intoxicated, two were in possession of false government documents, and one was in possession of a controlled.  Subsequently, all three individuals were arrested and charged with mulitiple offenses.  Immigration Customs Enforcment was contacted for help in identifying the individuals.

January 10, 2009

Officer was summoned to Humphrey's, located at 1903 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to an individual attempting to start a fight with another person.  Upon investigation, officer identified two 22 year-old males, both students, who were involved in the altercation.  Officer determined both individuals were intoxicated and were subsequently arrested and charged with the offense of Public Intoxication.

Officer was flagged down by a Jack in the Box employee who reported individuals in a vehilce located in the drive thru line had fallen asleep.  Upon the officer's investigation, it was determined that one of the occupants was in possession of a controlled substance and both were sleeping due to the affects of a nacotic that they had ingested.  Subsequently, a 26 year-old female non-student was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the second individual was released.

Officer met with complainant in the Sam Houston Village parking area where he reported that his vehicle was buglarized through the unsecure sliding rear glass of his pickup.  Numerous items of personal property were removed.  

January 9, 2009

While conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of Sycamore and Palm Street, officer determined that the driver, a 19 year male non-student, was intoxicated.  Subsequently, the driver was arrested and charged with the offenses of Driving While Intoxicated, No Liability Insurance, and Disregard Stop Sign.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined tha the driver, a 28 year-old male non-student, was wanted on two outstanding warrants of arrests. The driver was arrested and booked into the Walker County Jail for the outstanding warrants.

Officer met with complainant who reported that his Mongoose mountain style bike was stolen from the Sam Houston Village parking area.

While chekcing on two individuals loitering in the Art Complex area, officer determined that a 21 year-old female student provided false identifing information.  Once the female's identity was confirmed it was learned that she had an outstanding warrant of arrest.  Subsequently, the female was arrested for the warrant and charged for Failure to Identify.
