At 11:06 AM, an officer was dispatched to the Zeta House (located at 1661 Avenue J) in reference to a report of a damaged vending machine.  Upon arrival and inspection, it was determined that the vending machine had been burglarized. An offense report was completed in reference to this incident (127013).

May 21, 2012

A female resident of Huntsville, Texas was arrested in the 2500 block of Sycamore Avenue at 10:50 AM for outstanding warrants of arrest.  The female was transported to the Walker County Jail (126936).

May 20, 2012

While speaking with a male in the 1600 block of Avnue I at 11:05 AM, officer determined that the male had no official business on campus, was not a student, nor a staff member, and had a recent criminal history.  Subsequently, the male was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property (126875).

May 18, 2012

While on patrol in the 2200 block of Avenue M at 7:34 PM, officer observed graffiti on a university owned building.  An offense report was completed in reference to this incident (126803).

Officer responded to an assist officer calll in the 190 block of IH-45 N at 11:20 PM where he located a heavily intoxicated male of Huntsville, Texas.  At this time the male was detained and Huntsville/Walker County Emergency Medical Services were summoned to the scene to evaluate the individual.  The male was subsequently transported to the hospital for further treatment (126821).

May 16, 2012

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Avenue I at 2:20 AM, officer determined that the driver (a resident of Midway, Texas) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Driving While Intoxicated (126707).

Officer was dispatched at 10:50 AM to the area of LSC (1802 Avenue I) in reference to a female walking around campus who was displaying odd behavior.  The officer located the female in question and also becames concerned.  A parent was notified and arrived a short time later to take custody of the student (126725).

May 15, 2012

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 1:11 AM, officer determined that the driver (a resident of Houston, Texas) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Driving While Intoxicated.  Additionally, a female passenger was identified and determined to also be heavily under the influence of alcohol.  The passenger was arrestted and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (126672).

Officer was dispatched to the LEMIT Building (1600 Bobby K Marks Drive) at 3:07 PM to assist with a medical call (126696).

May 14, 2012

Officer responded to White Hall (2101 Avenue I) at 1:23 PM where the complainant reported finding writings in a stairwell.  The writing were done in chalk and were advertising a local apartment complex. A criminal mischief report was completed in regards to this incident (126650).

May 12, 2012

AT 12:22 PM, officer spoke with complainant, via telephone, in reference to a report of credit card abuse.  The complainant believes that his credit card information was fraudulently obtained by a individual working the 19th Hole Cafe at the Raven Nest Golf Course (located at 454 I-45 South).  An investigation into this incident continues (126533).

Officer responded near the intersection of Bowers Boulevard and Sycamore Avenue at 5:10 PM in reference to a male walking down the middle of the street.  Officer located the male in question and upon interview determined that he was highly intoxiated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (126574).

Officer responded to the Coliseum (1964 Bobby K Marks Drive) at 9:23 AM to assist with a medical call (126563).

Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Bowers Boulevard and Montgomery Road at 11:22 AM after an officer was flagged down by the driver of a vehicle in reference to a passenger in a vehicle suffering a medical issue.  Hunstville/Walker County Emergency Medical Services arrived moments later to assist (126566).

May 11,  2012

At 1:34 AM, a male was arrested in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue after it was determined that he was was wanteding on an outstanding warrant of arrest out of Brazos County for Family Violence.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (126515).

Officer met with the manager of the Barnes and Noble Bookstore located in the LSC (1802 Avenue I) in reference to a theft report.  Officer was provided additonal information regarding a current suspect already identifed for committing theft.  The information provided by the manager indicates that additional thefts may have occurred.  An investigation continues into this incident (126619)

Officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of 11th Street at 2:34 AM to assist with a report public intoxication.  Upon arrival, officer located a suspect matching the description provided.  Upon contact, the officer determined that the Conroe, Texas resident was very intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxiation (126521).

Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Josey Street at 2:56 AM to assist the Huntsville Police Department in reference altercation.  While speaking to the complainant, the officer determined that no altercation took place and that the female (a resident of Huntsville, Texas) was intoxiated.  The female was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (126525).

At 12:24 PM, an male university student was transported to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for an evaluation.  At 2:23 PM, the officer was dispatched to the east feeder road, near the hospital, since the same individual was now standing in the roadway and removing his clothing.  The indvidual was detained and brought back to the hospital.  The University's crisis team was contacted and further medical assistance was obtained (126532).

Officer was dispatched to White Hall (located at 2101 Avenue I) at 3:00 PM where he met with Residence Life staff in reference to possible contraband.  While completing room check out procedures, a staff member located pills.  The pills were seized and brought back to the police department for further investigation.  The residence's occupant had already moved out (126539).

Officer was dispatched to the Coliseum (1964 Bobby K Marks Drive) at 7:15 PM to assist with a medical call (126548).

At 12:10 AM, a male Huntsville resident was arrested in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue for three outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male was transported to the Walker County Jail (126649).

May 10 ,2012

At 10:42 AM, officer was dispatched to King Hall (1608 Avenue J) to meet with residence life staff.  Upon arrival, officer met with staff who reported that they found what looked like a real grenade.  Upon investigation it was determined not to be a real weapon and no immedated threat to the University (126484). 

While coducting a welfare check of a male pedestrian in the 100 block of Varsity Drive at 10:09 PM, officer determined that the male was wanted on two outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (126508).

May 9, 2012

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (2401 Montgomery Road) at 1:41 PM where the complainant reported that flour and chocolate syrup were put on her vehicle and the outside of her residential door.  A criminal mischef report was completed in reference to this incident (126435).

At 3:29 PM, a female Huntsville resident was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property after she was found digging through trash dumpsters on university property (126437).

May 8, 2012

Officer was dispatched to the Lee Drain Building (1900 Avenue I) at 12:04 PM where the complainant reported that her wallet was stolent, possibly from an unlocked office.  The complainant also stated that there were fraudulent charges on her credit card.  An offense report was completed and an investigation continues (126384).

May 6, 2012

Officer met with complainant who reported at 11 AM her wallet was stolen out of her unattended purse.  A theft report was completed in reference to this incident (126266).

May 5, 2012

At 4:20 AM, an officer was dispatched to Beakat Village (2401 Montgomery Road) in reference to a suspicious person.  Caller advised that a black male was standing outside of a window.  Officer also met with a female complainant who reported that a voice woke her up that was coming through her open window. Anyone with information is asked to contact the University Police Department at 936-294-1794 (126211).

Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Bearkat Boulevard (university parking area) at 10:38 AM where the complainant reported that their vehicle was burglarized.  Upon inspection, the officer did not observe any signs of forced entry; however, the vehicle's stereo was missing.  An offense report was completed in reference to this incident (126223).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Avenue M at 3:23 PM, officer determined that the driver (a male university student) was in possession of contraband.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Marijuana (126236).

May 4, 2012

Officer met with female student complainant at 11:14 AM who reported that she was sexually assaulted at the Walker County Fairgrounds (3925 Highway 30 West) at approximately midnight while attending a party.  The victim stated that she was grabbed by an unknown black male, who forcefully assalutled her at the complex.  The victime described the black male as having a fade haircut, muscular build, and was wearing a dark color t-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the attack.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Unviersity Police Department at 936-294-1794 (126180).

Officer was dispatched to the University Bookstore (1802 Avenue I LSC) at 9:33 AM in reference to a theft.  Upon arrival, it was determined that a male university student was attempting to obtain money on a false receipt.  The student implicated a second male university student in the scheme as well.  Both students were issued a criminal trespass warning for the bookstore, and the initial student faces charges for Class C Misdemeanor Theft (126176).

May 3 , 2012

At 11:44 AM, officer responded to the intersection of Bobby K Marks Drive and Bowers Boulevard to investigate a minor motor vehicle accident (126133).

Officer responded to Gibbs House (1619 Avenue J) at 11:59 AM in reference to a fire alarm.  Upon arrival, officer detected the smell of smoke.  The residence hall was evacuated and the Huntsville Fire Deaprtment was contacted.  Upon investigation, it was determined that a dryer had overheated.  There was no report of damage and the residence hall was reopened shortly after the initial alarm (126134).

Officer was dispatched to the Ag Complex (440 IH-45 South) at 12:03 PM in reference to a single motor vehicle accident which damaged University fencing on the property (126135).

While conducting patrol procedures in the 1300 block of 17th Street at 11:37 PM, officer identified the strong odor of burning marijuana, and a vehicle where the odor appeared to be originating from.  Upon interview of the male occupants (three university students), officer determined that the students were in possession of contraband. A female university student was issued a Class C Misdemeanor citation for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol. A male university student was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana.  The third student was released (126158).

May 2, 2012

At 2:07 AM, officer observed an individual in the 1500 block of 11th Street who had just been in an altercation. Upon contact with the male (of Navasota, Texas), officer determined that he was extremely intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (126052).

Officer was dispatched to the 1900 block of Avenue I (Leed Drain and Farrington Buildings) at 8:33 AM in reference to offesive sidewalk chalk that was located in the area.  A criminal mischief report was completed (126065).

May 1, 2012

Officer was dispatched to the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard) at 1:20 PM where the complainant reported that a large shoulder bag was stolen from an unsecured cubby hole. The bag was located a short time later near the library with only U.S. Currency missing.  An investigation still continues (126002).

April 30, 2012

At 12:48 AM, officer made contact with a male resident of Huntsville, Texas in the 1200 block of University Avenue.  While speaking with the male, the officer determined that he was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (125910).

Officer responded to the 1800 block of Bearkat Boulevard at 9:52 AM to assist with a medical call (125928).

April 30, 2012

Officer was dispatched to the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard) at 12:05 PM where the complainant reported that her unsecured purse was stolen from a set of cubby holes.  A theft report was completed (125936).

At 2:44 PM, officer met with a female student complainant who reported that she was assaulted while attending a student organization party on April 28th held in the Johnson Coliseum. The complainant provided a statement to the officer regarding the incident that occurred.  The complainant then signed a non-prosecution request.  At this time a report has been completed and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office fro review (125941).

April 29, 2012

Officer responded to a call for assistance near the intersection of 13th Street and Avenue E for crowd control at 3:10 AM.  Upon arrival, officer located a vehicle with what he recognized as a heavy odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  Upon contact with the driver (a female of Lufkin, Texas), officer determined that the driver and passenger (also a female of Lufkin, Texas) were in possession of contraband. Both the driver and passenger were arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Marijuana (125807).

At 1:55 AM, officer responed to Bearkat Village (2401 Montgomery Road) to assist with a medical call (125857).

Officer observed a male (of Crockett, Texas) sitting in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 2:10 AM who had just been in a physical altercation.  Upon contact to check his welfare, the officer determined that the male was intoxicated to a point that he was a danger to himself. The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (125860).

Officer was dispatched to Randel House in reference to a harassment report.  Upon arrival, a male student reported that he was having problems with a former friend.  Officer located the former friend.  During the investigation, it was determined that this individual was a non-student and in violation of University policies.  The male was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property (125887).

April 28, 2012

At 1:30 AM, a male resident of Willis, Texas was arrested in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue after he was found to be extremely intoxicated.  The male was charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (125767).

Officer responded to the University Police Department at to speak with a complainant (via telephone) about an incident that occurred on April 27th off campus.  Information was obtained from the complainant and an incident report was completed. The report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (125820).

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village (2133 Avenue I) at 8:00 PM in reference to a suspicious incident occurring in one of the elevators.  Upon arrival, officer located the individual and identified the male of Bay City, Texas.  While speaking with the male, the officer determined that male was intoxicated.  The officer attempted to bring the male back into the residence where he was visiting a male student resident (to take custody of the intoxicated individual).  Once at the residence, the officer was alerted to the smell of burnt marijuana.  At this time a male university student was found in possession of contraband.  The male university student was arrested and charged with the following offenses:  The 3rd degree Felony offense of Tampering with Evidence, the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Marijuana; and the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  The initial subject was subsequently arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (125835).

April 27, 2012

At 12:51 AM, a Willis, Texas resident was arrested in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue after being found intoxiated in a public area.  The male was charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (125765).

Officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of Avenue I (university parking area) at 8:28 AM where he observed a damaged railing belonging to the university.  Also, the officer located a license plate.  The owner of the license plate was contacted and it was determined that their vehicle was used by a non-university student who used the vehicle without thier parents' knowledge (125777).

Officer met with complainant at 2:20 PM at the University Police Department where they reported that their license plate cover was damaged by an unknown person.  The damage occurred while the vehicle was parked in the Sam Houston Parking Garage located in the 1700 block of Avenue I on April 26th (125785)

Officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of Bobby K Marks Drive (university parking area) at 5:09 PM where the complainant reported that their vehicle was damaged.  Upon arrival, officer observed a tree branch lying on the hood of the vehicle (125791).

April 26,2012

Officer was dispatched at 11:29 AM to the Bearkat Plaza area (1800 block of Avenue I) in reference to individuals having a petition signed.  Upon arrival, officer located a male from Illinois and a female from California. The male and female were non-students, conducting business in violation of University Policy, and the male had an extensive crimianl history.  At this time both the male and female were issued criminal trespass warnings for alll SHSU property (125735)

Officer was dispatched to to the 2000 block of Avenue J (university parking area) at 12:48 PM where the complainant reported that that a former boyfriend was observed causing damage to her vehicle.  The complainant signed a non-prosecution request; however, the incident will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (125736).

April 25, 2012

A female student was arrested in the 1900 block of Bobby K Marks Drive at 10:28 AM for an outstanding warrant of arrest (125691).

At 2:14 PM, officer was dispatched to the Farrington Building (1908 Avenue J) to assist with a medical call (125700).

Officer met with complainant at the University Police Department at 2:59 PM who reported that her unattended musical intrument was stolen from the Music Building (1751 Avenue I).  A theft report was completed (125704)

Officer was dispatched to Gibbs Ranch (104 Fraser Road) at 5:30 PM in reference to a report of a fire.  Upon arrival, the fire department was already on scene and it was learned that a hay baler had caught fire. The baler belonged to a contractor and there was no damage to any University property (125708).

April 24, 2012

While in the 900 block of Bowers Boulevard at 1:16 AM, officer observed two males walking through a university parking area looking into vehicles.  Upon conducting a pedestrian stop, officer identified two male residents of Huntsville, Texas.  One was wanted on an oustanding warrant of arrest.  The male was arrested and transported the Walker County Jail, the other male was released.  It should be noted that each male was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property (125633).

Officer met with complainant at 9:14 AM who reported that her vehicle was vandalized in the 1600 block of Avenue I on April 23rd.  There were numerous items on the vehicle damaged.  An investigation into this incident is ongoing (125641).

At 8:27 PM, officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Bearkat Boulevard (university parking area) to assist with a medical call (125667).

April 23, 2012

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 1:00 AM, officer determined that the driver (an Austin, Texas resident) was wanted on three outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (125551).

At 2:47 PM, officer met with complainant who reported that several items of clothing were stolen from the second floor laundry room in King Hall (1608 Avenue J).  A suspect has been identified and an investigation continues (125591)

Officer was dispatched to the University Health Center (1528 Avnue J) at 4:10 PM to assist with a medical call (125595).

Officer met with complainant at the University Police Department at 5:40 PM who reported that she suffered an injury while working on an art project located at the Art Complex (located at 2021 Sam Houston Avenue).  A report documenting the incident was completed (125601).

Officer made contact with two males in the 2600 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 10:10 PM.  While speaking with the males, officer determined that both males were in possession of contraband.  Both males were arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Marijuana (125615).

April 22, 2012

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 12:36 AM, officer determined the driver (of Coppell, Texas) was in possession of contraband.  The driver was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana (125485).

At 1:28 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue in reference to tow males who were involved in an altercation and would not leave from the premises.  Officer located the two males (one of Tyler, Texas and the other from San Antonio, Texas) and determined that they were highly intoxicated. The two males were arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (125486).

April 21, 2012

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver (a university student) was wanted on oustanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (125476).

April 20, 2012

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Lake Road, officer determined that the driver (a Huntsville resident) was under the influence of alcohol.  The driver was arrested.  During the arrest the male subject became combative.  The officer's patrol vehicle was also damaged by the suspect.  Subsequently, the male was transported to the Walker County Jail and charged with the following offenses: the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Driving While Intoxiciated; the 3rd Degree Felony offense of Retaliation; the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Criminal Mischief; and the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol (125447).

April 18, 2012

Officer met with complainant at 4:08 PM who reported that his backpack was stolen from the Old Main Market (1003 Bearkat Boulevard) on March 24, 2012.  A theft report was completed (125369).

Officer was dispatched to Belvin-Buchanan Hall (1008 17th Street) at 5:19 PM in reference to ar report of damaged university property.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that door locks were vadalized with male contraceptives, lubricants, and an adhesive.  A criminal mischief report was completed in reference to this incident (125371)

April 17, 2012

Officer investigated an ongoing civil dispute between two female university students. Information was obtained and a resolution was obtained.  An incident report was completed and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (125326).

At 4:23 PM, officer was dispatched to Gibbs Ranch (104 Fraser Road) in reference to a reported burglary.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that a buidling was forcefully entered and numerous items were reported missing.  An investigation is ongoing (125332).

A male Houston resident was arrested in the 2000 block of Avenue J after it was determined that a passenger in a vehicle was wanted for an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (125337).

Officer responded to the 2000 block of Avenue J (university parking area) at 7:28 PM in reference to a reported motor vehicle crash.  Upon arrival, officer observed a single vehicle crash.  A crash report was completed (125350).

April 16, 2012

While conducting a traffic stop in the 600 block of Bowers Boulevard at 1:28 AM, officer determined that the driver was in possession of contrab.  The driver (of Pollock, Texas) was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana (125242).

At 10:55 AM, officer was dispatched to 2424 Sam Houston Avenue (Sam South Complex) where a university staff member reported that while operating a university vehicle, he backed into another university vehicle.  An accident report was completed (125257).

Officer was dispatched 2000 block of Avenue J (university parking area) at 1:44 PM in reference to a damaged vehicle.  Upon arrival, complainant reported that their vehicle was damaged by another vehicle which did not leave information. An offense report was completed in regards to this incident (125264).

Officer met with complainant at 6:22 PM who reported that his wallet was stolen from the HKC (located at 801 Bowers Boulevard) from his back that was left unsecured in a cubby hole area (125269).

Officer was dispathced to Belvin-Buchanan Hall (1008 17th Street) at 9:48 PM verbal dispute.  Officer met with female complainant and completed an incident report. This report will be forwarded to the Department of Residence Life and Dean of Students' Office for review (125278).

April 14, 2012

At 6:38 PM, officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Bowers Boulevard to investigate a minor motor vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, officer determined it was a single vehicle accident in which a vehicle struck a sign pole (125160).

April 13, 2012

Officer was flagged down in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 2 AM in reference to a male yelling vulgar terms and who appeared to be upset.  Upon locating the male (a university student), the officer determined that he was intoxicated to a point that he was a danger to himself and others.  At this time the male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (125087).

Officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of Avenue J (university parking arear) at 6:52 PM where the complainant reported that their vehicle was keyed.  A criminal mischief report was completed (125121).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 100 block of Samantha Drive at 9:55 PM, officer determined that the passenger (a male resident of Huntsville, TX) was in possession of contraband. The male was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor of Possession of Marijuana (125132).

April 12, 2012

At 5:44 PM, an officer was dispatched to the HKC (located at 801 Bowers Boulevard) in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, officer located one of the primary actors in the disturbance.  After becoming uncooperative, the non-student was issued a criminal trespass warning for the HKC (125054).

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (2401 Montgomery Road) at 9:21 PM in reference to a criminal mischief report.  Upon arrival, complainant reported that someone had "egged" their vehicle.  An offense report was completed in reference to this incident (125065).

April 11, 2012

A male university student was arrrested near Highway 30 and State Highway 75 at 2:21 AM after it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol and a danger to himself.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (124975).

Officer met with complainant at 10:23 AM who reported that a bus she is responsible for damaged a bollard in the 1900 block of Avenue I.  Upon inspection, the university owned bollard was found to be damaged to the point of needing to be replaced.  An accident report was completed in reference to this incident (124993).

Officer met with a male student in King Hall (located at 1608 Avenue J) at 6:35 who reported a minor injury due to broken glass plane.  Information was obtained in regards to this incident a damaged university property report was completed (125009).

April 10, 2012

At 2:06 PM, officer was dispatched to the 2100 block of Avenue J (a university parking area) in reference to a damaged vehicle.  Upon arrival, complainant reported that their vehicle was damaged while legally parked in the lot.  A report was completed in reference to this incident (124931).

Officer was dispatched to the area of the University Post Office (2021 Sam Houston Avenue) at 4:44 PM in reference to damaged property.  Upon arrival, officer located a vehicle that had struck an outside mail box (124941).

A male resident of Grapeland, Texas was arrested at 10:15 PM during a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Sycamore Avenue after it was discovered that he was wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest out of Houston, County.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (124792).

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 2400 block of Sycamore Avenue, officer arrested a male resident of Huntsville, Texas after he determined that the male was highly intoxicated.  The male was charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (124800).

April 7, 2012

Officer responded to the 400 block of McCollum Lane to assist with an aggravated assault that had just occurred.  While enroute, officer was apprised of the suspect vehicle information that had just left the scene. Prior to arrival, officer observed the suspect vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle fled from the officer and a passenger bailed from the vehicle.  The officer was able to recognized the driver and both passengers in the vehicle from prior encounters. Warrants of arrest will be sought ro the offense of Evading Arrest/Detention by use of a Vehicle (124750).

Officer met with complainant at the University Theatre Center (located at 1740 Bobby K Marks Dive) at 9:08 AM in reference to a reported theft.  A university staff member reported that they discovered fraudulent activity on their department issued credit card.  A Credit Card Abuse report was completed (124689).

Officer was dispatched to the Communications Building (1804 Avenue J) at 12:54 PM where the complainant reported that her cell phone was stolen from the Performing Arts Center (located at 1700 Avenue I) on April 5th.  A theft report was compelted (124696).

April 5, 2012

At 10:09 AM, an officer responded to the Lowman Student Center (loated at 1820 Avenue I) in reference to contraban being found in an office.  Upon arrival, officer met with university staff who reported that while cleaning in an office area used my mulitiple student organizations, a small plastic bag of marijuana was found.  An incident report was completed by the officer (124632).

A male Huntsville, Texas resident was arrested at 8:38 PM in the 1100 block of Sycamore Avenue during a traffic stop for a moving violation.  During the traffic stop, it was learned the the driver was wanted on two outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (124659).

April 4, 2012

At 1:10 AM, an officer was dispatched to White Hall (located at 2101 Avenue I) in reference to a welfare concern report.  Upon arrival, officer located a female student who was highly intoxicated and unresponsive.  Subsequently, Huntsville/Walker County Emergency Medical Services were contacted and arrived on scene.  The female was tranported to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further treatement (124549).

At 1:28 AM, an officer arrived at White Hall (located at 2101 Avenue I) to assist with a welfare concern report.  While on scene, a female university student was has a difficult time following directions.  Upon speaking with her, the officer determined that she was extremely intoxicated and would be a danger to herself or others if released.  The female was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication of a Minor (124550).

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (located at 2401 Montgomery Road) at 10:40 AM in reference to a report of vandalism.  Upon arrival, officer met with complianant who reported that the glass on the passenger side review mirror was missing.  Upon further investigation, several other cars were also damaged in this manner.  A criminal mischief report was completed (124561).

At 3:12 PM, officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of 17th Street (university parking area) where the complainant reported that their vehicle was damaged.  The driver's side window of the vheicle was found shattered. Officer determined that recent mowing activities caused the damage to the vehicle and the window will be replaced (124576).

While in the 1600 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 7:11 PM, officer observed a male walk into the Museum Grounds that he recognized as haveing a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Criminal Trespass (124597).

April 3, 2012

Officer was dispatched to the Lowman Student Center (1802 Avenue I) at 11:51 PM where a staff member reported finding a plastic bag of contraband while cleaning outside of the facility.  The contraband was seized (124534).

A male Huntsville, Texas resident was arrested in the 100 block of Martin Luther King Drive at 10:44 PM when the officer discovered that he was in possession of contraband.  The male was charged with Thrid Degree offense of Tampering with Physical Evidence, the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Marijauan and the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Possession on Drug Paraphernalia (124543).

April 2, 2012

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 1700 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 12:10 AM, officer determined that the male resident of Huntsville, Texas was wanted on an oustanding warrant of arrest out of Harris County.  The male was arrested and tranported to the Walker County Jail (124387).

Officer was dispatched to the Stadium Parking Lot (located at 620 Bowers Boulevard) at 1:34 AM in reference to found property.  Upon arrival, officer met with department staff who found a pill bottle containing numerous pills.  The pill bottle was collected for further investigation (124388).

At approximately 2:20 PM, officer was contacted by a mother of a university student who reported that she had not been in contact with her daughter for four days.  After conducting an investigation and not being able to loacate the student, the female was listed as missing.  On April 3rd, the female student was located in Houston, Texas and is no longer considered missing (124429).

A male university student was cited for a Huntsville Ordinance Violation in the 2000 block of Avenue I at 3:40 PM.  The male was issued a Class C Misdemeanor citation for the offense of Skating in the Street (124429).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Sycamore Avenue at 8:15 PM, officer discovered that the driver (a Huntsville, Texas resident) was in possession of contraband.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana (124443).

Officer met with complainant at 9:45 AM who reported that they had discovered fraudulent activity on their BearkatOne Card.  Information was obtained and a credit card abuse report was completed (124237).

Officer was dispatched to Residence Life Maintenance (located at 1401 22nd Street) at 10:30 AM in reference to a theft report.  Staff member reported that a televison on their inventory was missing. A theft report was completed (124241).

At 2:24 PM, officer responded to the McAdams Tennis Center (lcoated at 2125 Avenue I) to assist with a medical call (124249).

A male Huntsville resident was arrested in the 2500 block of Pine Shadows drive after officer reognized individual and knew of an outstanding warrant of arrrest.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (124264).

Officer was dispatched to Lone Star Hall (910 Bearkat Boulevard) at 1:14 PM in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, officer located a male and female university student (in a dating relationship) who were involved in a physical altercation.  At this time, the male student was issued a Class C Misdemeanor citation for the offense of Assault Family Violence and issued a criminal trespass warning for the dorm where the female lives.  The involved female singed a non-prosecution request for additional possible charges, and she was also issued a criminal trespass warning warning for the involved male's dorm (124115).

Officer met with complainant at 2:19 PM in the University Central Stores (located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue) where he reported that the department's issued credit card had fraudulent activity on the account.  A credit card abuse report was completed (124115).

Officer was dispatched to Lone Star Hall (910 Bearkat Boulevard) at 2:44 PM where the complainant reported that his prescription pill bottle containing his medication was stolen.  A theft reporte was coompleted (124117).

Officer was dispatched to the Lowman Student Center (located at 1802 Avenue I) at 3:23 PM where the complainant reported that they discovered fraudulent activity on their department credit card.  A credit card abuse report was completed (124119).

Officer was dispatched to 530 Bowers Boulevard (Baseball Complex) where the complainant stated that while driving her vehicle, her windshield was struck by a foul ball causing it to shatter (124129).

March 26, 2012

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1200 block of 17th Street at 12:00 AM, officer determined that the driver (a male SHSU student) was in possession of contraband.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (124042). 

Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Bowers Boulevard (university parking area) at 1:54 in reference to a criminal mischief report.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that an unknown individual keyed his vehicle with a vulgar word.  A criminal mischief report was completed (124074).

At 4:59 PM, officer was dispatched to the University Police Department where he met with the complainant.  At this time the complainant reported that she mistakingly left her backpack at the Southpay Dining Facility and upon return the backpack was missing.  A theft report was completed (124082).

A male Huntsville, Texas resident was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property after officer determined that he was enroute to the 1700 block of Avenue O (Pritchett Field) to engage in a phsyical altercation (124085).

Officer was dispatched to 1006 17th Street (Elliott Hall) at 9:09 PM in reference to a report of a suspcious odor.  Upon contacting the resident, officer noted that the room smelt of burnt marijuana.  After being denied the ability to search the residence, officer obtained a search warrant.  Upon searching the residence, contraband was found by the officers.  A female university student was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Marijuana (124088).

At 11:14 PM, officer located a male (of Buna, Texas) sleeping the facility area of the Museum grounds, located in the 1800 of Sam Houston Avenue.  The male was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property (124089).

March 25, 2012

At 1:40 AM, officer observed three males sleeping in a vehilce in the 2400 block of Avenue I.  Upon checking their welfare, the officer determined that all three were very intoxicated.  All three males (all university students and under the age of 21) were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication of a Minor (124002).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1300 block of 10th Street at 2:50 AM, officer arrested the driver (of Brenham, Texas) for a traffic violation (124005).

While checking on a illegally parked vehicle in the 1000 block of Bearkat Boulevard, officer determined that a female passenger was highly intoxicated as evident by her vomiting.  The 18 year-old female university student was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication of a Minor (123976).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Montgomery Road at 10:55 PM, officer determined that the driver (a Huntsville, Texas resident) was intoxicated.  The driver wasd arrrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Driving While Intoxicated (123987).

While conducting a welfare check of a pedestrian in the 1100 block of Bowers Boulevard at 12:44 AM, officer determined that the male (a Huntsville, Texas resident) was in possession of contraband.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with the 2nd Degree Felony Offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 (123945).

March 23, 2012

At 8:48 AM, officer was dispatched to the Walker Education Center in reference to damaged university property.  Upon arrival, officer was directed to a window that was shattered by an unknown objet.  A criminal mischief report was completed (123904). 

Officer met with complainant at the Unviersity Police Department (4:06 PM) who reported who reported that her vehicle had been keyed while parked in the 2000 block of Avenue J (a university parking area).  A criminal mischief report was completed (123925).

Officer was dispatched to the Smith-Hutson Building (locatd at 1821 Avenue I) at 4:16 PM where the complainant reported that a department owned camcorder was missing. A Thef report was completed (123870).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 7:56 PM, officer determined that the driver (a Shiro, Texas resident) was wanted on two outstanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (123880).

At 9:26 PM, a male resident of Huntsville, Texas was arrested in the 2400 block of Lake Road in reference to two outstanding warrants of arrest.  The warrants were Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Criminal Mischief.  The individual was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (123886).

March 21, 2012

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 2:37 AM, officer determined that the female driver (a university student) was intoxicated.  Additionally, the front seat passenger (a male resident of Huntsville, Texas) was found to be highly intoxicated and wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest.  During a search of the vehicle after the occupants were arrested, contraband was found.  The driver and passenger were transported to the Walker County Jail.  The driver was charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offenses of Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana.  The passenger was also charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Marijuana and booked in for the two outstanding warrants (123794).

At 9:40 PM, a minor female University student was issued a Class C Misdemeanor citation for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol after she was found in possession of a bottle of liquor.

While conducting a traffic stop at 11:45 PM near the intersection of Sam Houston Avenue and Angier Street for a moving violation, officer determined that the driver (a Huntsville, Texas resident) was wanted on two outstanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker county Jail (123848).

March 20, 2012

Officer responded to the Criminal Justice Center (located at 817 17th Street) at 10:26 AM to assist with a medical call (123723).

Officer met with complainant at the University Police Department at 4:22 PM who reported that on March 8th that their vehicle was burlarized while parked near the loading of the Newton Gresham Library (located at 1800 Bobby K. Marks Drive). The victim advised that there were numerous items missing from the vehicle (123748).

At 4:33 PM, officer was dispatched to Austin Hall (located at 1741 University Avenue) to assist with a medical call (123749).

While in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer came into contact with a minor male university student who was highly intoxicated.  At 2:00 AM, the male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication of a Minor (123792).

March 19, 2012

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (located at 2401 Montgomery Road) at 12:33 AM in reference to a verbal dispute.  Upon arrival, officer identified two females who were invloved in an argument.  The two femlae students were seperated and information was obtained for an incident report.  A copy will be forwarded to the Department of Residence Life and the Dean of Students' Office for review (123638).

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 2100 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive at 12:45 AM, officer determined that the male (a resident of Trinity, Texas) was in possession of contraband. The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Marijuana (123639).

At 2:43 AM, officer observed a vehicle in the 2300 block of Sam Houston Avenue half parked in the street and a private parking lot with its lights on; however, no driver or other occupants.  Upon checking the local business, officer located a male university student who stated that he was driver.  Upon interview, the officer determined that the male was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, a Class C Misdemeanor (123646).

At 10:56 AM, a male university student was arrested in the 1800 block of Avenue I after it was determined that he was wanted on three outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male transported to the Walker County Jail (123659).

At 11:20 AM, a female resident of Huntsville, Texas was arrested at the University Police Department after it was determined that she was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The female was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (123660).

At 4:56 PM, officer was dispatched to Houston House (located at 1661 Avenue J) in reference to an assault report.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that she was assaulted by a known female university student and one other unknown female.  Information was obtained from the complianant.  The other two females were identified and an investigation into the reported incident is ongoing (123674).

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 2900 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 11:03 PM on a male walking in the middle of the street, officer determined that the Huntsville, Texas resident was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (123700).

At 9:05 PM, a male resident of Huntsville was arrested in the 3000 block of Sam Houston Avenue after being found highly intoxicated and passed out in a grassy area near the roadway.  The male was transported to the Walker County Jail and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (123545).

While in the 2600 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 11:35 PM, officer checked on the welfare of male who appeared to be unsteady on his feet.  While speaking with the male university student, officer determined that he was intoxicated and a danger to himself or others.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (123559).

Officer met with University staff member who reported that their department issued purchasing credit card was compromised after finding fraudulent activity on the account.  The account was canceled and an offense reporte was completed (123377).

Officer met with complainant at 1:21 PM at the Lowman Student Center (located at 1802 Avenue I) in reference to a theft report.  The complainant reported that her purse was stolen from a kitchen area.  Additionally, it was determined that an unknown person used tje victim's credit/debit card.  A credit card abuse report was completed and an investigation continues (123357).

While assisting the Huntsville Police Department in the 1500 block of 11th Street at 11:39 PM, a female resident of Brenham, Texas was arrested for disorderly conduct (a Class C Misdemeanor) after others in the area began complaining of the constant vulgar and abusive language she was using (123369).

Officer was contacted by male student complainant at 10:10 AM who reported that he was threatened by a mother of another student who reported a missing electronic item.  The student did not wish to pursue a criminal complaint in regards to this matter.  The officer contacted the suspect and an incident report was completed (123245).

Officer was dispatched to Academic Building III at 6:50 PM in reference to theft report.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that a wallet that was left unattended could not be located. A theft report was completed (123218).

At 1:50 AM, officer observed an individual passed out in a private parking lot in the 2400 block of Avenue I.  It should be noted that the engine was running with the headlights on.  Upon chekcing the individuals welfare, the officer noted that the male university student was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (123163).

Officer was dispatched to White Hall (located at 2101 Avenue I) at 9:56 AM where the complainant reported that his Sony Playstation 3 was missing from his residence.  The complainant provided suspect information and an investigation continues (123169).

Officer was dispatched to the Dan Rather Communications Building at 3:44 PM in reference to a theft report.  Upon arrival, officer met with a University staff member who reported that two University owned computers were missing.  A theft report was completed in reference to this incident (123181).

At 3:49 PM, officer met with University staff member who reported that on February 22nd a DVD/VHS combo player was reported missing. A theft report was completed (123183).

March 8, 2012

Officer met with a respresentative of a university student organization at University Police Department.  During the meeting, the complainant reported that they suspected a member of the the organization had illegally used money in their checking account. An investigation into the reported incident continues (123142).

At 1:17 PM, officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged parked in a university parking area located in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue. Damage was caused by a university vehicle striking the complainant's vehicle.  Damage was observed to the right front bumper (123143).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue (at 10:50 PM) for a moving violation, officer determined that the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest out of Waller County. The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (123157).

March 7, 2012

At 1:03 PM, a female university student was issued a Class C Misdemeanor Citation for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol after it was discovered in her residence.  The female residence is located in Estill Hall, 1002 16th Steet (123110).

At 1:08 PM, an officer was dispatched to Huntsville Memorial Hospital (located at 110 Memorial Drive) in reference to a reported sexual assault.  Upon arrival, officer met with female student who reported that on March 5, 2012 she had unwanted sexual contact with a known acquaintance (a male university student).  At this time a suspect has been identified and an ongoing investigation is underway.  It should be noted that this reported incident did not represent an immediate threat or an ongoing threat to the University Community (123114).

At 2:14 PM, officer was dispatched to the Dean of Students' Office (located at 1802 Avenue I) where a staff member reported recieving harassing telephone calls from a female university student.  Information was obtained and an incident report was completed (123117).

March 6, 2012

Officers were dispatched at 2:00 AM to Crawford House (located at 1319 17th Street) in reference to a disruptive student who was threating other students.  Upon arrival, officer located the male student in question and determined that he was highly intoxicated.  The male (under age 21) was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication by a Minor (123034).

Officer was dispatched to Physical Plant Administration at 10:22 AM (located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue) in reference to an unknown substance being found in a tissue box. The University Safety Officer was contacted and reported to the office to secure the building and advise employees (123040).

At 5:30 PM, two male non-university students were issued criminal trespass warning after they were found to be in violation of University Policy in the 1900 block of Avenue I (123075).

March 5, 2012

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village at 12:26 AM (located at 2133 Avenue I) in reference to a reported suspicious odor.  Upon arrival, officer met with Residence Life staff who directed the officer to the location of the odor in question.  Upon arrival, officer identified a female university student whose residence had a smell of burnt marijuana.  Upon investigation, it was determined the female was in possession of contraband.  The female was issued a Class C Misdemeanor Citation for the Offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (122954).

At 1:25 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 2100 block of Avenue I in reference to a reported damaged vehicle.  The complainant reported that her legally parked vehicle was struck by another.  A witness left a message on the vehicle stating that they witnessed the vehicle accident.  An investigation continues (122993).

Officer was dispatched to the University Police Department at 4:02 PM where a complainant reported that there vehicle was damaged while parked in the 1000 block of 16th Street. Officer examined the vehicle in question and observed scratches to the driver's side rear door (123002).

At approximately 10:30 PM, Officer were dispatched to the HKC (located at 801 Bowers Boulevard) in reference to a reported fight in progress.  An officer in the immediate area responded and observed two males physically fighting outside of the HKC.  Both were seperated and detained. Subsequently, and after an investigation, two male university students were arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Disorderly Conduct - Fighting in Public (123020).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 4:18 AM, officer determined that the driver (a male resident of Huntsville, Texas) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the 3rd Degree Felony Offense of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or more (232912).

A female university student was arrested in the 2500 block of Lake Road at 1:23 PM for outstanding warrants of arrests.  The female was transported to the Walker County Jail (122920).

At 5:20 PM, officer was dispatched to Barrett House, located at 2001 Avenue J, in reference to a criminal mischief report.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that a large concrete rock shattered their residential window (122954).

While conducting a foot patrol in the 1300 block of 17th Street at 10:55 PM, officer was approached by Residence Life staff in reference to two suspicious males and a suspicious odor.  Officer located the two males near Mallon House.  At this time both were identified as university students and one of the males was found to be in possession of contraband.  A male university student was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana (122897).

Officer conducted a pedestrian stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 11:46 PM to assess the welfare of an indivudal.  Upon contact, the officer identified a male university student who highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (122900).

March 2, 2012

Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Bearkat Boulevard (university parking area) at 4:52 AM in reference to a report of vandalism.  Officer met with student complainant who reported that a tire was flattened and shoe polish was applied to the windows of the vehicle.  A criminal mischief report was completed (122770).

At 8:28 AM, officer was dispatched to the Criminal Justice Building (located at 816 17th Street) to assist with a medical call (122771).

Officer met with complainant at the University Police Department (at 8:53 AM) who reported that her wallet was stolen on Wednesday (February 29th) sometime between 9 AM and 1 PM while on campus (122774).

At 9:13 AM, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Avenue I in reference to a suspicious person carrying what appeared to be a shotgun.  A few minutes later, an officer located the suspicous person dressed in 1800s period costume carrying a replica long barrel black powder firearm.  The individuals were participating in the annual march to Sam Houston's grave.  The fireamr was not loaded nor did the indivudial have any ammunition for the firearm.  There was no immediate danger posed to the University campus (122776).

Officer responded to 1400 block of Avenue I (at 4:45 PM) after being notified of two suspicious males who were found in a University facility.  While speaking with the males, it was determined that they were not university students and/or employees of the university.  Due to recent thefts in the location, both were issued criminal trespass warnings for all SHSU property (122798).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Lake Road at 6:37 PM for a moving violation, office determined that driver (of College Station, Texas) was wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest.  While searching the vehicle, the officer also located contraband.  Subsequently, the driver was arrested for a Felony Robbery Warrant, a Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Warrant, a Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense Warrant, and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana (122804).

At 11:37 AM, officer was dispatched to the University Health Center (located at 1528 Avenue J) to assist with a medical call (122738).

Officer met with complainant at the University Police Department (1:58 PM) in reference to issues with a roommate.  Information was obtained, an inicdent report was completed, and a copy of the report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life for review (122744).

February 29, 2012

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 1500 block of Avenue I at 3:12 AM, officer identified a male Huntsville resident.  While speaking with the male, the officer determined that he was in possession of contraband and was wanted on two outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male was arrested, charged for the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana, and booked into the Walker County Jail (122656).

Officer was dispatched to a university parking area located in the 1000 block of 16th Street ub reference to a criminal mischief report.  Upon arrival, comlainant reported that sometime between February 23rd and 24th, his vehicle was damaged.  Damage to the vehicle was described as being "keyed" with scratches to the vehicle (122671).

Officer was dispatched at 3:23 PM to Elliot Hall (located at 1006 17th Street) to assist residence life staff with a student issue (122689).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue (at 5:26 AM) for a moving violation, officer determined that the driver (a Huntsville resident) was wanted on two outstanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (122583).

Officer met with complainant at the University Police Department at 9:24 AM who reported that she was being harassed by an unknown person.  Information was obtained and an incident report was completed (122591).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 600 block of Palm Street (at 11:32 PM) for a moving violation, officer determined that the driver (a male university student) was in possession of contraband.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana (122645).

At 5:19 PM, officer was dispatched to Mallon House (located at 1319 17th Street) in reference to a suspicious odor report.  Upon arrival, officer located the source of the odor and interviewed to male university students who resided in the residence. Subsequently, a male university student was arrested and charged with the class B Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Marijuana (122535).

February 26, 2012

Officer met with female complainant at 10:22 AM who reported that she was having a difficult time with her roommate over the last several months. An incident report was completed and will be forwarded the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life for review (122453).

Officer was dispatched to Belvin-Buchanan Hall at 7:21 PM (located at 1008 17th Street) in reference to a report of contraband in the room.  While conducting an investigation, officer determined the the female student resident (under age 21) was in possession of contraband.  The female was issued a Class C Citation for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol (122473).

February 24, 2012

An eighteen year-old female university student was arrested in the 1300 block of 17th Street at 11:43 PM when the officer discovered that she was in possession of contraband.  At the conclusion of the traffic stop, the female was transported to the Walker County Jail and charged with two Class C Misdemeanors:  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Minor in Possession of Alcohol (122270).

Officer met with Residence Life staff at 10:21 AM at Gibbs House (located at 1619 Avenue J) in reference to damaged university property. The staff member reported finding a window broken in the common area of the house (122299).

February 23, 2012

Officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive (a university parking area) at 3:05 PM in reference to a damaged vehicle.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who stated that he struck a legally parked university vehicle.  Information was obtained and an incident report was completed (122224).

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village (1600 Sam Houston Avenue) at 10:57 AM in reference to an aggravated assault report.  It should be noted that Sam Houston Village is currently under construction and no students are residing in the complex.  Upon arrival, officer identified two male workers of Houston, Texas who were in a physical fight. The victim did not wish to file a formal criminal complaint. It was learned during the investigation that the two involved in the incident had extensive criminal histories; thus they were both issued criminal trespass warnings for all SHSU property, and they were escorted off of campus property (122229).

At 8:17 AM, officer was dispatched to the Music Building (located at 1751 Avenue I) to assist with a medical call (122172).

Officer was dispatched to White Hall (located at 2101 Avenue I) at 11:13 PM in reference to an assault report.  Upon arrival, officer met with student female complainant who stated that she was assaulted by another female student.  After a investigation, the second female was identified.  The female suspect was issued a criminal trespass warning and charges are pending for the offense of Class C Misdemeanor Assault (122217).

February 21, 2012

While performing a personal contact with a vehicle in a pulbic parking area in the 2100 block of Avenue I, officer determined that a male university student was in possession of contraband.  The male was issued a Class C Citation for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (122073).

At 11:41 AM, officer met with complainant who reported a suspicious incident that occurred in a university parking area in the 2100 block Avenue I.  Information was obtained and an incident report was completed (122102).

Officer was dispatched to the Lone Star Hall (located at 910 Bearkat Boulevard) at 8:21 PM in reference to a reported assault.  Upon meeting with the female student complainant, she reported that she had been assaulted by her boyfirend (a male university student).  The female stated that at this time she did not wish to pursue a formal criminal complaint.  An incident report was completed.  The report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life for review (122134).

Officer was dispatched to 801 Bowers Boulevard (HKC) in reference to a theft report.  The complainant reported taht at approximately 8:45 PM, while working out, their cell phone was stolen from an unsecured cubby hole in the faciltiy (122140).

AT 6:27 PM, officer discovered graffiti on the northeastern wall of the Kirkley Building.  An ofense report was filed (122129_

At 8:49 AM, officer responded to the Smith-Huntson Building (located at 1821 Avenue I) in reference to a theft report.  Officer met with staff who reported that a camera and U.S. Currency were missing from the dean's suite (121818).

Officer was dispatched to the Art Complex at 12:11 PM (located at 1028 21st Street) where a university staff member reported that they discovered fraudulent activity on their department issued credit card.  A credit card abuse report was completed (121825).

While conducting a traffic stop for a moving violation in the 1500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 12:54 AM, officer determined that the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest. The driver was arrested and tranported to the Walker County Jail (121709).

While conducting a welfare check of a male stumbling in the 1300 block of 13th Street, officer determined that he (a male university student) was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (121714).

Officer was dispatched to Sam Houston Village (located at 1600 Sam Houston Avenue) at 1:53 PM in reference to a reported theft.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that a tool was stolen from his work truck.  A theft report was completed (121733).

At 4:15 PM, officer was dispatched to Lone Star Hall (located at 910 Bearkat Boulevard) in reference to two female university students in a verbal dispute.  Information was obtained, an incident report was completed, and a copy will be forwarded to the Department of Residence Life and the Dean of Students' Office for review (121739).

At 2:24 AM, officer was assisting the Huntsville Police Department with a loud noise coomplaint at the Aberdeen Apartment Complex (located at 1401 Nottingham Street).  While on scene, officer was approached by an individual who stated that a male had wondered into his apartment. Upon making contact, the officer identified a male university student who was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication of a Minor (121498).

At 5:26 AM, officer was dispatched to White Hall (located at 2101 Avenue I) in reference to an intoxicated individual.  Upon arrival, officer located a male knocking on a door and yelling for a former girlfriend.  The male was identified as a university student.  While speaking with the male, the officer determined that he was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Inoxication of a Minor (121502).

Officer was dispatched to the HKC (located at 801 Bowers Boulevard) at 6:19 PM to assist with a medical call (121538).

While conducting a traffic stop for a moving violation in the 1400 block of Avenue I at 9:10 PM, officer noted that the female driver was in violation of a protective order.  The female resident of Huntsville was arrested and charged with a Class A Misdemeanor Offense of Violation of a Protective Order (121543).

February 11, 2012

At 12:40 AM, officer conducted a welfare check of a male in the 1600 block University Avenue.  Upon contact, officer determined that the male (a resident of Huntsville) was in possession of contraband.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana (121438).

While conducting a patrol in a university parking area (located in the 800 block of Bearkat Boulevard) at 2:27 PM, officer discovered a male and female engaged in lewd conduct.  Since the male was not a student, he was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property. The female identified is a current university student.  A report was completed and a copy of the report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (121466). 

Officer was dispatched to Gibb's House at 5:31 PM in reference to a suspicous odor.  Upon arrival, officer met with occupant of the residence in question and smelled what he believed to be be marijuana.  After speaking with the resident, and finding no contraband, the officer completed an incident report.  A copy will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (121473).

While conducting a traffic stop for a moving violation in the 1200 block of 17th Street, officer determined that the male driver (a male university student) was wanted on two oustanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (121475).

At 4:55 PM, officer met with complainant in reference to a reported theft.  The complainant advised that a combination lock had been breached on her locker and several textbooks were missing.  The theft occured in the Music Building which is located at 1751 Avenue I (121337).

Officer met with complianant at 4:00 PM who reported that several books were removed from a locked locker located in the Music Building (1751 Avenue I).  A theft report was completed (121253).

At 3:05 PM, officer was dispatched to a university parking area located in the 2100 block of Avenue I in reference to a criminal mischief report.  Upon arrival, complainant advised that while in class all four tires were deflated on their vehicle (121277).

Officer met with complainant at 5:17 PM who reported that his vehicle was damaged while parked in a university parking area (located in the 1700 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive).  Damage to the vehicle consisted of a "keyed" scratch on the passenger side of the vehicle (121281).

Officer was dispatched to the Ag Complex at 10:16 AM (located at 440 IH-45 South) where the complainant reported that two small air compressors were stolen from a University owned building (121171).

At 10:41 PM, officer was dispatched to a university parking area in the 2000 block of Avenue I in reference to a damaged univerity property report.  Upon arrival, officer met with a university staff member who reported damaging a university owned vehicle (121201).

February 5, 2012

At 12:22 AM, a male Huntsville resident was arrested in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue after interfering with the officer while he spoke with a female.  While attempting to take the male into custody, he became combative. After a struggle, the male was taking into custody and charged with the following offenses: the Class Misdemeanor B Misdemeanor Offense of Interference with the Public Duties of a Peace Officer; and the Class A Misdemeanor Offense of Resisting Arrest (121114).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Bearkat Boulevard (for a moving violation) at 2:54 PM, officer noted that the driver (a male university student) had property in the vehicle that belonged to a local establishment.  Upon confirmation from the local business that the item was missing, the officer had the driver return the item at the business' request.  No charges were filed and a copy of this incident will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (121137).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 700 block of Bearkat Boulevard (for a moving violation) at 11:35 PM, determined that the driver (a male resident of Huntsville, Texas) was in possession of contraband. Subsequently, the driver was arrested and charged with the State Jail Felony Offense of Possesion of a Controlled Substance (121158).

At 5:05 PM, officer was dispatched to the Sorority Hill parking area (located in the 1600 block of Avenue J) in reference to a verbal dispute.  Upon arrival, officer located two females who had been involved in a heated argument (one a female student, the other a resident of Houston, Texas). The identified female victim did not wish to pursue a criminal complaint; therefore an incident report was completed and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (121181).

While conducting a traffic stop for a traffic violation in the area of 15th Street and Avenue I at 12:40 AM, the officer determined that the driver (a male of Livingston, Texas) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Driving While Intoxicated (121069).

Two male university students were arrested in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 11:28 PM after they were found to be highly intoxicated in a public place. Both males were arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (121110).

At 4:15 PM, officer responded to the 5000 block of Sam Houston Avenue to assist the Huntsville Police Department in reference to a burglary of a habitation report.  Upon arrival to the area, officer was able to detain a suspect involved in the burglary.  The Huntsville Police Department is continuing with the investigation (121047).

While conducting a traffic stop for a traffic violation in the 600 block of IH-45 South at 9:10 PM, officer determined that the driver (a male resident of Willis, Texas) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Driving While Intoxicated (121059).

Officer was dispatched to Barrett House (located at 2001 Avenue J) at 1:07 AM in reference to a verbal arugument.  Upon arrival, officer identified a male university student and a female university student who were involved in a dispute.  Information was obtained, an incident report was completed, and it will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life for review (12984).

At 1:45 AM, officer was dispatched to Estill Hall (located at 1002 16th Street) in reference to an intoxicated person.  Upon arrrival, officer located a female university student who was highly intoxicated in the lobby of the hall.  The female was arrested for the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (12985).

At 8:32 PM, officer was dispatched to Randall House (located at 824 20th Street) in reference to a report of a supicious odor.  Upon investigation, it was determined that a male university student was in possession of contraband.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with a Class C Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  In addition, the roommate (also a male univeristy student) was arrested for outstanding warrants of arrrest (121007).

Officer responded to the 1800 block of Avenue I at 1:09 AM (near the LSC) in reference to an intoxicated female.  Upon contact, the officer noted that the female was vomiting and largely unresponsive.  Walker County Emergency Medical Services were summoned to the scene and the female was transported to the hospital for further evaluation (12831).

At 8:39 AM, officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of 16th Street (university parking area) in reference to a damaged vehicle.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked.  Damage to the vehicle consisted of the front bumper being completely removed (12839).

January 26, 2012

Officer spoke with complainant, via telephone, in reference to an ongoing dispute involving a calculator.  Information was obtained in regards to her complainat and it will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review and mediation (12806).

Officer spoke with complainant, via telephone, at 3:18 PM who stated that individual attempted to have a key produced that belonged to the University.  It should be noted that the key is not made to be duplicated. The complainant provided the department with key and suspect information.  A copy of the incident report will be forwarded to the Department of Residence Life for review (12810).

January 25, 2012

At 2:38 AM, officer was dispatched to 1619 Avenue J in reference to a female student resident being combative with other residents.  Upon arrival, officer located the female in question.  While attempting to speak with the student she became combative with the officers.  The student was detained and placed into a patrol car.  It was learned that the mother of the student was enroute to the location. The female was released to her mother.  A copyt of this incident report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office and Residence Life for reveiw (12746).

Officer responded to the the Smith-Hutson Building (located at 1821 Avenue I) at 8:46 AM to assist with a medical call (12752).

At 10:54 AM, an officer was dispatched to the Estill Hall parking area (located in the 1000 block of Bearkat Boulevard) in reference to a damaged vehicle.  Upon arrival, officer observed five vehicles that sustained minor damage due to tree branches falling during severe weather (12759).

Officer was dispatched to 1660 Avenue I (Sigam Sigma Sigma House) at 1:27 PM where the complainant reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse by an unknown person.  A theft report was completed (12764).

Officer was dispatched to the instersection of 21st Street and Avenue J at 9:06 AM in reference to damaged vehicle report.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that while driving her window suddenly shattered.  It was determined that the shattered window was caused by a university staff member operating lawn care tools (12719).

At 11:29 AM, officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Bowers Boulevard in reference to a damaged vehicle.  Officer met with complainant in reference to a shattered rear window.  It is belived that the damage was caused by a university employee operating lawn care tools (12725).

At 2:47 PM, officer made contact with a university employee who reported that she lost a department issued credit card.  The card was cancelled before any attempted fraudulent charges (12729).

January 22, 2012

Officer was summoned to a parking area in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue in reference to a female slumped over next to a vehicle.  Upon investigation, officer determined that the female (of Pflugerville, Texas) was extremely intoxicated.  The female was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (12686).

While assisting the Huntsville Police Department in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 1:15 AM, in reference to a suspicious person call, officer located a male sitting inside of a vehicle with the door open.  While speaking with the male (a resident of Trinity, Texas), the officer noted that he was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (12687).

At 12:00 PM, officer met with female student complainant who reported that an Apple IPad was stolen from the Music Building (located at 1751 Avenue I).  The complainant reported that the IPad was mistakenly left behind after practice, and upon returning the IPad was no longer there (12695).

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 1500 block of Avenue J at 4:35 AM, came into contact with a male who was highly intoxicated.  During the encounter, the male provided a false name and date of birth.  After being identified as a male university student, the male was arrested for the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Failure to Identify, the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication of a Minor, and the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (12649).

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 2000 block of Sycamore Avenue at 4:45 PM, officer determine that the male resident of Huntsville, Texas was intoxicated and a danger to himself or others.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (12664).

An officer was dispatched to a university parking area located in the 800 block of 16th Street at 12:05 PM in reference to a damaged vehicle.   Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that her vehicle was damaged while parked in the lot.  Damage cosisted of a small dent to the driver's side door.  Suspect information was obtained and an investigation is ongoing (12631).

At 12:33 PM, officer observed a female exit the Barnes & Noble Bookstore (located at 1802 Avenue I) leave with items taht she did not buy.  The female was stopped and it was determined that she exited with three items totaling approximately $43.00.  The female was issued a Class C Misdemeanor citation for the offense of Theft (12632).

At 1:00 PM, officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was burglarized while parked in the Bearkat Village Parking Lot, located in the 2400 block of Montgomery Road. The complainant stated that personal property was removed from his vehicle that was not secured (12633).

Officer met with officer at 1:45 PM to report having difficulties with another student.  Information was obtained and an incident report was completed.  A copy will be sent to the Dean of Students' Office for review (12635).

January 18, 2012

Officer conducted a pedestrian stop in the 1200 block of 16th Street on two males walking in the midlle of the road at 12:50 AM.  One of the males stopped and the other continued down the road disregarding the officer's commands.  After catching up to the male (a university student), it was determined that he was intoxicated and slightly injured.  The other male stated to the officer that they were attempting to take him home; however, he would not go with him.  At this time the male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intxocation (12550).

At 3:39 AM, officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (located at 2400 Montgomery Road) to assist with a medical call (12556).

At 12:55 AM, officer coducted a welfare of an indivdual standing outside of a closed business in the 1100 block of Sycamore Avenue.  While speaking with the male, the officer determined that he was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (12506).

Officer was dispatched at 7:09 AM to Estill Hall (located at 1002 Bearkat Boulevard) to assist with a medical call (12508).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1000 block of University at 10:30 PM, officer determined that the driver (a Huntsville resident) was wanted on an outstanding warrrant of arrest.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (12495).

January 15, 2012

At 12:05 AM, an officer was dispatched to Raven Village (located at 2133 Avenue I) in reference to a male sleeping in the hallway.  Upon arrival, officer determined that the male (underage) student was highly intoxicated.  Walker County Emergency Medical Services were summoned to the scene and transported the male to Huntsville Memorial Hospital.  During this time, the male became very combative. Subsequently, the male was issued a Class C Misdemeanor citation for the offense of Public Intoxication of a Minor (12420).

At 4:08 AM, officer conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue.  At this time the officer determined that the driver (a male resident of Huntsville) was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Driving While Intoxicated (12427).

Officer responded to the 2501 Lake Road to assist the Huntsville Police Department with a report of a reckless driver at 11:42 PM.  Officer observed an individual standing next to a vehicle matching the provided description.  While talking to the male (a university student), the officer determined that he was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (12459).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Sycamore Avenue, officer determined that the male driver (a University student) was in possession of contraband.  Subsequently, the driver was arrested and charged with the Class A Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of a Dangerous Drug and the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana (12408).

January 13, 2012

At 11:00 PM, officer observed several individuals involved in a physical altercation in the 1200 block of 14th Street.  As officer acitivated his emergency lights, a vehicle fled from the scene.  A traffic stop was conducted on this vehicle in the 1300 block of Avenue M.  While speaking with the driver and passenger (both males of Huntsville, Texas), the officer determined that they were intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Driving While Intoxicated, and the passenger was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (12380).

Officer was dispatched at 8:45 PM to Bearkat Village (located at 2400 block of Montgomery Road) in reference to found contraband.  Officer met with Residence Life staff who reported that during a safety check, they located what they believed to be marijuana in a residence.  Upon investigation, the officer confirmed that the substance was marijuana.  Since no residents were on scene, the contraband was seized and the information will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (12285).

January 9, 2011

At 12:11 AM while conducting a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver (a Houston, Texas resident) was in possession of contraband.  The driver was arrested after the officer found him to be in possession of marijuana, cocaine, and prescription pills.  The male was charged with the State Jail Felony Offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, The Class A Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana (12211).

Officer was dispatched to a speak with call at 6:42 PM in reference to possible illegal activity taking place in Bearkat Village (located at 2401 Montgomery Road).  Upon investigation, officer identified a female student who was in possession of contraband.  The female was arrested and charged with the following two offenses: The Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana; and the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (12235).

While conducting a traffic stop at 11:03 PM in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the female driver (of Houston, Texas) was wanted on three outstanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (12241).

While conducting a traffic stop at 11:44 PM in the 2800 block of Lake Road, officer determined that the driver (a male resident of New Waverly, Texas) was operating a reported stolen vehicle. It was learned that the vehicle was just reported stolen.  The Huntsville Police Department responded to the officer's location as well.  At this the driver of the vehicle was arrested for the offense of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and transported to the Walker County Jail.  The Huntsville Police Department will assume the investigation of this incident (12242).

January 7, 2012

Officer was dispatched to the Ron Mafrige Field House at 9:24 PM, located at 620 Bowers Boulevard, in reference to a fire alarm.  Upon discovering a burning odor, the Huntsville Fire Department was summoned to the scene.  At this time an electrical box for the elevator was found to be the cause of the burning odor (12163).

While conducting a traffic stop at 11:04 PM in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a female resident of Huntsville, was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest for Theft.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (12170).

January 6, 2012

At 2:30 AM in the 1300 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer observed a group of people fighting in a parking lot. Upon stopping the altercation, the officer identified all three males as university students.  Two of the males were arrested and both were charged with two following Class C Misdemeanor Offenses: Public Intoxication; and Disorderly Conduct, Fighting in Public.  The third male was released since it was determined that he was attempting to stop the fight (12116).

Officer responded to the Criminal Justice Center at 9:07 AM (located at 816 17th Street) to assist with a medical call (12-61).

Officer met with five individual departments on campus who all reported that that their department purchasing credit cards had fraudulent activity on their respective accounts.  A credit card abuse offense report was completed (12-62).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 7:57 PM, officer discovered that the driver of the vehicle (a male resident of Huntsville) was in possession of contraband.  The driver was arrested for two Class A Misdemeanor drug offenses and one Class B Misdemeanor drug offense (12-41).

While conducting a welfare check in the 1500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 2:30 AM, officer identified a male Navasota resident who was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (1113871).

December 16, 2011

At 3:04 AM, officer was dispatched to the ZTA House (located at 1661 Avenue J) in reference to three males in the house after visiting hours. The officer located three males in a room of one of the member's residence.  All three males were identified.  Since none of the males were associated with the University and since they were in violation of policy, all three were issued criminal trespass warnings for all SHSU property (113793).

Officer was dispatched to the Sam Houston Village parking garage area at 1:51 PM (located at 1600 Sam Houston) in reference to damaged University property.  Officer met with the driver (a university staff member) of a vehicle who stated that he ran into a cement pillar in the garage (1113800). 

Officer was flagged down in reference to an injured person at 6:36 PM in the 600 block of Bowers Boulevard.  Emergency medical services was contacted to assist a male who had fallen and suffered a small laceration (1113808).

December 15, 2011

At 5:11 PM, officer was dispatched to the Estill Hall parking lot (located at 1002 Bearkat Boulevard) in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle report.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that a laptop computer was stolen from her vehicle. During the investigation, officer observed forced entry into the vehicle (1113786).

At 5:24 PM, officer was dispatched to Academic Building 1 (1803 Avenue I) in reference to damaged university property.  Upon arrival, officer found a glass door to the building had been shattered.  Upon investigation, it was determined that an employee had damaged the door (1113737).

At 6:46 PM, Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (located at 2400 Montgomery Road) in reference to a verbal conflict.  Upon arrival, officer identified the two female students and obtained their information.  An incident report was completed and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life for review (1113707).

Officer met with University staff member who reported at 9:22 AM that a vending machine located at Raven Village (2133 Avenue I) had been burglarized.  A Burglary of a Coin Operated Machine report was completed and an investigation is ongoing (1113678).

While assisting with a disturbance at 2504 Sam Houston Avenue (at 1:00 AM), a patron attempted to put a bottle of beer in the officers mouth.  The male (identified as a university student) was escorted outside.  While speaking with the male it was determined that he was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (1113617).

At 3:56 AM, officer was dispatched to the 2400 block of Montgomery Road (Bearkat Village) in reference to a domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival, officer identified all involved persons (all students with the University).  It was determined that a female student forcibly entered a room and assaulted another student.  The female student was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation (A Second Degree Felony) and for the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Assault Family Violence (1113629).

At 6:42 PM, officer was dispatched to the 1300 of 17th Street (a university parking area) in reference to a criminal mischief report.  Complainant reported that he discovered that one of his tires was cut with an unknown object (1113582).

December 9, 2011

Officer was dispatched to the area of King Hall and Sorority Hill at 2:55 AM (located in the 1600 block of Avenue J) in reference to a physical disturbance.  Upon arrival, officer observed a large crowd on North Sorority Hill Drive.   Officer spoke with a male non-university student who reported that he was attacked by members of a fraternity.  The male signed a non-prosecution request form.  Information will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' office for review (1113483).

Officer responded to Sam Houston Village at 3:22 AM (located at 1600 Sam Houston Avenue) in reference to a reported alcohol violation.  Upon investigation, officer determined that eight individuals were in possession of alcohol and under the age of 21 (four SHSU students and four non-SHSU student).  Each person received a citation Class C Misdemeanor Citation for the offense of Possession of Alcohol by a Minor (1116870).

Officer met with complainant at 3:58 PM who reported that her unsecured telephone was stolen out of her backpack while she was a the HKC (located at 801 Bowers Boulevard).  The backpack was left unattended near some cubbyholes while the complainant used gym equipment (1113396).

December 5, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver (a male resident of Huntsville) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Driving While Intoxicated (1113336).

Officer was dispatched to Elliot Hall at 3:49 PM (located at 1006 17th Street) in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, officer met with one of the female complainants who reported that she and her roommate were involved in a physical confrontation.  At the conclusion of the investigation, both females involved in the disturbance were issued citations of the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Assault - Family Violence.  A copy of the incident report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life for review (1113356).

University Police Officers located two suspects involved in a theft of the A-1 Liqour store at the Cedar Woods Apartment Complex (located at 2201 Bobby K Marks) at 5:25 PM. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspects were found in a residence at that location. Both suspects were arrested by the Huntsville Police Department.

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village at 12:07 AM (2401 Montgomery Road) in reference to a dispute.  Upon arrival, officer met with two female students who in an argument about their friendship.  Information was obtained and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life for review (1113284).

Officer observed a female university student sitting in a university parking area in the 2400 block of Montgomery Road, at 12:55 AM, who appeared to be slumped over next to a vehicle.  Upon checking her welfare, the officer determined that she was highly intoxicated.  The 20 year-old female was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication of a Minor (1113285).

December 2, 2011

Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Bearkat Boulevard at 3:05 PM in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, officer met with female complainant who reported that she was assaulted by two Hispanic males (both were wearing blue jeans, one with a white and brown striped shirt and the other wearing a blue shirt with a baseball cap turned backwards).  If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the University Police Department (1113203).

Officer was dispatched to the Lee Drain Building at 9:15 AM (1900 Avenue I) in reference to a welfare concern report.  Officer spoke with complainant who reported that a student was acting strangely during class.  Information was obtained and will be forwarded to the the Dean of Students' Office for evaluation (1113190).

December 1, 2011

On December 1, 2011 at 2:10 PM, officers were dispatched to the Evans Complex (located at 1901 University Avenue) in reference to a reported assault. Upon arrival, officers met with a student female complainant who reported that she was sexually assaulted in an elevator by a known acquaintance.   Within minutes, the reported suspect in the case was located and brought to the University Police Department. The suspect was formally identified as a male university student.  The individual involved provided a statement to the investigator and was also interviewed at this time. Information in reference to this incident is still being obtained at this time and the investigation is ongoing.  Initial assessments to this incident indicate that there is not an ongoing threat to the university community.  The Dean of Students’ Office has been contacted, in addition to other university administrators.  

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Avenue M at 11:04 PM, officer identified a passenger in the vehicle (a male university student) who was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest. The passenger was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (1113177).

November 28, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 12:25 AM, officer determined that the driver (a male resident of Huntsville, Texas) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated (1113016).

Officer responded to King Hall at 1:17 PM (located at 1608 Avenue J) in reference to a dispute. Complainant reported receiving a threatening text from his roommate. Residence Life staff moved the complainant to another room.  A copy of the incident report will be forwarded to the Department of Residence Life and the Dean of Students' Office for review (1113044).

Officer spoke with complainant, via telephone, at 8:07 PM in reference to a suspicious incident. Female complainant reported that an uninvited male came to her dorm whom she asked to leave.  After the male left, the female reported that looked outside of her window and the male was outside of it. The officer was able to identify the male.  Subsequently, the male was issued a criminal trespass warning for the residence hall where the incident took place.  A copy of the incident report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life for review (1113060).

November 27, 2011

While conducting a bicycle stop in the 2500 block of Sycamore Avenue at 4:38 AM, officer identified a Huntsville resident who was in possession of a handgun and two knives.  It was also determined that the individual was a registered sex offender and a convicted felon.  The male was arrested and charged with the 3rd Degree Felony Offense of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and the Class A Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon-Switchblade Knife (1112964).

Officer met with complainant at 5:46 PM who reported that approximately one month ago her Ipod was stolen at Sam Houston Village (located at 1600 Sam Houston Avenue).  A theft report was completed (1112982).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Montgomery Road at 2:40 AM, officer determined that the driver (a female university student) was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Driving While Intoxicated (1112842).

Officer met with a university employee at 2:48 PM who reported that he lost a department owned Motorola radio at Lone Star Hall, located at 910 Bearkat Boulevard (1112855).

Officer met with complainant at 9:44 AM who reported that on November 14th his cell phone was stolen from the HKC, located at 801 Bowers Boulevard.  The complainant stated that the cell phone was left in a unsecured cubby hole (1112800).

At 4:26 PM, officer met with three student complainants who reported that their textbooks were stolen from the Music/Fine Arts Building, located at 1751 Avenue I (1112819).

At 9:55 PM in the 400 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard, officer arrested a male of Marion, Ohio for the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication.  Officer responded to this area after a broadcast for assistance in reference to a fight in progress in this area (1112832).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Lake Road at 2:19 AM, officer determined that the driver (a male resident of Crockett, Texas) was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Driving While Intoxicated (1112674).

Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Bearkat Boulevard at 6:54 AM where the complainant reported that a door handle was stolen off of their vehicle (1112677).

Officer was dispatched to 801 Bowers Boulevard (HKC) to assist with a medical call (1112678).

Officer met with complainant at 4:10 PM who reported that a credit card account had been opened using his identifiers without his consent.  A Fraudulent Use of Indentifying Information report was completed (1112687).

At 9:12 PM, officer observed a male walking in the 1500 block of Avenue I looking inside of vehicles.  Upon contact, officer determined that the male was not a student. Subsequently, the male was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property (1112699).

While assisting the Huntsville Police Department in the 140 block of Interstate I-45 North at 2:40 AM, officer identified a male university student who was involved in a disturbance.  The male was found to be highly intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (1112613).

Officer met with complainant at the University Police Department at 1:53 PM who reported that on November 15th she slipped and fell in the Evans Complex, located at 1901 University Avenue (1112622).

Officer was dispatched to Anne Shaver House at 4:50 PM (located at 1619 Avenue J) where the complainant reported that she was assaulted by her roommate.  An offense report was completed and will be forwarded to the district attorney's office for review for charges (1112624)

November 14, 2011

While attempting to make a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 1:27 AM, vehicle fled from the officer.  The vehicle finally came to a stop in the 2200 block of Bobby K. Marks where the driver exited the vehicle and fled.  After a brief foot chase, officer was able to apprehend the driver (a male resident of Huntsville, Texas).  The male was arrested and charged with the following State Jail Felony Offenses of Evading Arrest/Detention and Possession of a Controlled Substance (1112528).

Officer responded to the 900 Block of Bearkat Boulevard at 1:17 PM where the complainant reported that she was missing a purse.  A theft report was completed for the missing purse (1112539).

Officer met with complainant at 6:57 PM who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in the 1300 block of 17th Street (university parking area).  The complainant advised that there were two cuts made on the soft top of her vehicle (1112545).

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 2300 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 7:50 PM, officer determined that a male resident was in possession of several credit cards that did not belong to him.  The credit cards were seized and an investigation is pending (1112548).

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (located at 2401 Montgomery Road) at 11:15 PM in reference to a suspicious odor.  Upon investigation, officer determined that a male university student was in possession of contraband.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana and the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (1112567).

November 13, 2011

Officer was dispatched to a fight in progress call located in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 1:42 AM.  While interviewing one of the males involved in the altercation, the officer determined that he was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (1112488).

While in Lone Star Hall at 2:00 AM, officer located four male students who were being extremely loud.  Upon identifying them, the officer determined that they were all under the age of 21 and they had one can of alcohol in their possession.  A violation of the code of student conduct report was completed and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (1112489).

Officer spoke with complainant at 4:30 PM, via telephone, who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in the 1700 block of Bobby K Marks Drive (a University parking area).  Damage to the vehicle was located on the front bumper of the vehicle (1112468).

A UPD Officer was dispatched to 605 IH 45 South at 9:06 PM to assist the Huntsville Police Department in reference to a suspicious person.  Upon arrival, the officer located the female in question.  At this time it was determined that the female resident of Huntsville had a criminal trespass warning issued for that address. the female was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Criminal Trespass (1112474).

While assisting the Huntsville Police Department with a suspicious person call in the 400 block of Avenue J, officer located a male (of Trinity, Texas) matching the description provided.  At this time the officer determined that the male was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (1112476).

Officer spoke with complainant at 10:20 AM who reported that his unattended Apple iPod was stolen from a common area of King Hall, located at 1608 Avenue J. A Theft report was completed by the officer (1112403).

Officer was dispatched to the University Health Center at 1:03 PM, located at 1528 Avenue J, to assist with a medical call (1112409).

Officer was dispatched to Mallon House at 10:29 PM (located at 1319 17th Street) in reference to an assault that occurred on November 9, 2011.  Two male university students that they were assaulted by a white male and two black males while sitting on a concrete wall directly behind Crawford House.  The victims reported that the assailants asked them for cigarettes.  When the victims told them they did not have any and were jumped by the suspects moments later.  The victims went back into their residence and told other residents what had just occurred, but did not call the police at that time.  When a staff member of Residence Life found out, UPD was contacted.  An investigation into this incident continues (1112424).

While conducting a traffic stop at 1:21 AM in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver (a male resident of Huntsville, Texas) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class A Misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated (1112347).

Two male university students and female university student were arrested in the 1400 block of 19th Street (University Property) for the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana at 12:50 AM. Upon checking on a vehicle parked in the museum grounds after hours, officer found the occupants smoking contraband (1112316) (1112317).

Officer me with complainant at the Newton Gresham Library (located 1830 Bobby K Marks Drive) at 2:45 PM who reported that he was missing his wallet. A theft report was completed (1112328).

Officer located an unsecured vehicle in the 2100 block of Sycamore Avenue at 12:40 AM.  Upon inspection of the vehicle, officer located contraband in the vehicle.  Upon contacting the owner, the owner (a male university student) refused to come to his vehicle.  The contraband was seized and the vehicle was secured.  A violation of student conduct report was completed and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (1112273).

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (located at 2401 Montgomery Road) at 8:38 PM in reference to a reported suspicious odor. Upon investigation, officer determined that a male university student was in possession of contraband.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana (1112298).

Officer responded to the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue to assist the Huntsville Police Department with a verbal disturbance at 2:13 AM.  While on scene, officer identified a male of Philadelphia, PA who was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (1112217).

A male university student was arrested in the 2100 block of Avenue I at 7:11 PM for three outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male was transported to the Walker County Jail (1112240).

Officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of 17th Street in reference to a welfare concern report. Upon arrival, a male matching the description was located and services were provided (1112149).

Officer responded to Bowers Field House (located at 620 Bowers Boulevard) at 12:17 PM to assist with a medical call (1112161).

At 4:15 PM, while conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Lake Road, officer determined that the female driver was wanted on oustanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (1112168).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Avenue O at 1:59 AM, officer determined that the driver (a male resident of Huntsville, Texas) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Driving While Intoxicated (1112080).

AT 4:00 PM, officer met with complainant who reported that they discovered fraudulent activity on a University purchasing credit card.  A Credit Card Abust report was completed (1112102).

Officer met with complainant at 6:04 PM in the 1200 block of 17th Street who reported that the passenger side front tire was cut with an unknown object.  A criminal mischief report was completed (1112109).

November 1, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Lake Road at 12:49 AM, officer determined that the driver (a male of Houston, Texas) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor.  A passenger in the vehicle, also intoxicated, was released to a sober individual (1112034).

Officers responded to the 2200 block of Avenue I at 4:52 AM to assist with a report of a disturbance.  While on scene, a male resident of Huntsville, Texas, was arrested on an outstanding warrant of arrest (1112039).

At 2:36 PM, officer responded to the Lee Drain Building (located at 1900 Avenue I) to assist with a medical call (1112053).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Avenue J at 11:43 PM, officer determined that the driver of the vehilce (a male university student) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Driving While Intoxicated (1112070).

Officer responded to White Hall at 12:54 PM (located at 2101 Avenue I) where a male university student was arrested for selling marijuana.  The male university student was charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Possession of Marijuana (1112002).

October 30, 2011

Officer was alerted to a vehicle that was rolling through a parking lot at 3:30 AM in the 2200 block of Sam Houston Avenue in which the driver was passed out.  The driver, a female university student, was found to be highly intoxicated.  The female was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor (1111952).

At 10:46 PM, University Police Department officers were dispatched to Huntsville Memorial Hospital in reference to a reported sexual assault.  Upon meeting with the victim, the female university student reported that she was assaulted by a known suspect in her dorm room; however, the victim is uncertain of the actual time frame at this point.  The victim resides at Raven Village, located at 2133 Avenue I.  Upon review of the information provided, this reported incident does not present an ongoing threat to on-campus residents or other members of the University community.   An investigation into this report is continuing at this time. If you have any information in regards to this case, please contact Deputy Chief James Fitch at 936-294-1794.

Officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Sam Houston Avenue to assist the Huntsville Police Department.  While on site, a female resident of Huntsville, Texas was arrested.  The female was charged with an outstanding warrant of arrest and for the Misdemeanor A offense of Failure to Identify - Fugitive from Justice (1111914).

Officer was dispatched to Belvin-Buchanan Hall (located at 1008 17th Street) at 9:44 AM to assist with a medical call (1111693).

At 7:748 PM, officer conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Avenue.  At this time the officer determined that both occupants (driver and passenger) were in possession of contraband.  Both the driver and passenger (male university students) were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana (1111699).

Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Bowers Boulevard at 9:08 AM in reference to a suspicious person.  Upon arrival into the area, the vehicle could not be located. A short time later the vehicle was pulled over by the Huntsville Police Department.  The driver was identified as a male resident of Trinity, Texas.  The driver was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property (1111600). 

Officer was dispatched to the University Heights Baptist Church, located at 2400 Sycamore Avenue, at 9:48 AM in reference to a theft report.  Complainant reported that her black bag was stolen from the Lowman Student Center.  The bag contained numerous personal information including financial instruments (1111601).

A male Huntsville resident was arrested in the 1000 block of 16th Street at 6:14 PM due to an outstanding warrant of arrest issued through the Huntsville Municipal Court (1111616).

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Kamp, located at 2245 FM 980, at 11:36 AM in reference to a reported burglary.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who stated that a storage building was burglarized.  Upon inspection of the building, officer observed forced entry. A university staff member reported that items were missing from the building (1111473).

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village (located at 2133 Avenue I) at 11:48 PM in reference to an assault report.  Officer met with male student complainant who reported that he was assaulted by his girlfriend.  Upon speaking with the suspect, a female of San Antonio, Texas, she confirmed the report.  At this time the female was arrested and charged with the Offense of Assault Family Violence, a Class A Misdemeanor (1111506).

At 3:45 AM while assisting the Huntsville Police Department with a fight in progress call located in the 5000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer identified a male resident of Willis, Texas who was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (1111398).

October 15, 2011

Officer was dispatched to the Walker Education Center (located at 1400 19th Street) in reference to a burglary in progress call.  Upon arrival, officer located a male subject who was bleeding from the hand.  It was determined by the officer that a male and female had been arguing and the male struck a glass pane with his fist.  The male was transported to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for further treatment.  While investigating the incident, it was determined that a protective order had been issued against the male in question by the female.  After being treated at the hospital, the male was arrested.  At this point the male became extremely aggressive and resisted arrest.  The male was taking into custody and transported to the Walker County Jail where he was charged with the following offenses:  The Class A Misdemeanor offense of Violation of a Protective Order; the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Reckless Damage; The Class Misdemeanor Offense of Criminal Mischief; and the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Interference with Public Duties (1111360).

Officer responded to the northwest concourse area of Bowers Stadium at 2:00 PM to assist with a medical call (1111361).

While working an extra job at the Walker County Storm Shelter, located on Highway 75 North (at 12:10 AM), officer observed a male who became extremely agitated with a group of females.  The male attempted to gain entry to the female restrooms and at this point was restrained. The male was identified as a University student and was intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication (1111297).

While working an extra job at the Walker County Storm Shelter, located on Highway 75 North (at 12:50 AM), officer observed a male involved in a physical altercation.  The male was identified as a male university student.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Disorderly Conduct - Fighting in Public (1111300).

While working an extra job at the Walker County Storm Shelter, located on Highway 75 North (at 12:35 AM), officer observed to females fighting.  One was identified as a female university student and the other as a resident of Navasota, Texas.  Both were arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct - Fighting in Public, a Class C Misdemeanor (1111301).

Officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Sam Houston Avenue in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival at 2:40 AM, officers observed a large group of people who were shouting.  As officers approached the, a male ran. After a brief chase the male was captured, and it was determined that he was highly intoxicated.  The male Beaumont, Texas resident was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (1111304).

Officer was dispatched to the University Police Department at 9:37 AM where the complainant reported that their vehicle had been burglarized.  The complaint stated their vehicle was parked in the Bearkat Village area when the incident occurred.  The owner reported no missing items from the vehicle (1111312).

Officer was dispatched to the Coliseum parking area, located in the 1900 block of Bobby K Marks Drive, at 10:16 AM to assist with a medical call (1111316).

Officer was dispatched to the Farrington Building (located at 1908 Avenue J) at 3:39 PM, in reference to a theft report.  Officer met with complainant who reported that a computer tower was missing from a room in the building (1111332). On october 21st the computer tower was located and is no longer considered stolen.

Officers were dispatched to Bearkat Village at 1:40 AM, located at 2400 Montgomery Road, in reference to a report of damaged university property.  While investigating the incident, officers determined that a male university student was in possession of contraband.  The male was arrested and charged with the State Jail Felony Offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (1111214).

Officer was dispatched to the Counseling Center, located at 1916 Avenue I, at 2:36 PM to assist with a welfare concern report (1111239).

Officer met with complainant who reported that on October 7th, while his vehicle was parked in a University parking are in the 1800 block of Bobby K Marks Drive, his vehicle's tires were cut (1111244).

While towing a vehicle in the 2000 block of Avenue I at 1:15 PM off of University property, the owner arrived on scene.  While speaking with the owner of the vehicle, officer determined that the female student had several outstanding warrants of arrest.  The female was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (1111228).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Bearkat Boulevard at 1:45 AM, officer determined that the driver of the vehicle, a male university student, was in possession of contraband.  The driver was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor (1111157).

Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Bearkat Boulevard, at 10:48 AM, where the complainant reported that their front license plate was stolen from their vehicle (1111100).

At 12:27 PM, officer was dispatched to the 2100 block of Avenue I where the complainant advised their unattended vehicle was struck in a University parking area.  Officer observed damage to the driver side of the vehicle (1111108).

Officer spoke with complainant, via telephone, at 9:16 AM in reference to a theft report.  The complainant stated that on October 8th he left his room unlocked in Bearkat Village; however he locked the residence outside door.  Upon return he discovered that cash and a Sony Playstation controller were missing.  Complainant provided suspect details and an investigation continues (1111095).

At 1:24 PM, officer met with complainant who reported that their unattended vehicle was damaged while parked in a University parking area located in the 1800 block of Bobby K Marks Drive.  Officer observed damage to the entire passenger side (1110999).

Officer was dispatched to the LSC, located at 1802 Avenue I, at 2:50 PM in reference to a criminal trespass report.  Upon arrival, officer located a known individual who had been prior warned about his presence on campus.  At this time the male was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Criminal Trespass (1110960).

At 4:55 AM, officer was dispatched to the University Hotel parking area, located at 1640 Bobby K Marks Drive, in reference to a damaged vehicle report.  The complainant reported that an unattended vehicle (belonging to the Texas Department of Corrections) was damaged.  Officer observed damage to the driver's side doors that consisted of scratches and dents (1110967).

Officer was dispatched to the LSC Mall area at 1:42 PM in reference to a theft in progress report.  Upon arrival, officer located the reported suspect who was in possession of a stolen IPhone. While questioning the female student, officers located the phone in question.  The phone was returned to the owner, and the owner did not wish to file a criminal offense report (1110957).

Officer was summoned to the LSC mall area at 9:36 PM to assist with a medical call (1110972).

October 5, 2011

Officer responded to the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 1:33 AM to assist the Huntsville Police Department with a disturbance.  While on location, a 20 year-old male of Caldwell, Texas was arrested for the offense of Public Intoxication, a Class C Misdemeanor (1110882).

Officer was dispatched to the LEMIT Building (located at 1600 Bobby K Marks Drive) at 8:15 AM in reference to missing property. While speaking with the complainant, officer was informed that department was missing beverages from storage.  An theft report was completed (1110887).

Officer was dispatched to the Sorority Hill parking area (located in the 1600 block of Avenue I) at 2:55 PM in reference to a burglarized motor vehicle.  The complainant reported that a university parking permit, a 24 pack of bottled water, and a t-shirt were missing from his locked vehicle.  Upon inspection, no signs of forced entry could be located.  An offense report was completed (1110916).

October 4, 2011

At 6:52 PM, an officer was dispatched to the Old Main Market (located at 1003 Bearkat Boulevard) in reference to a fight.  Upon arrival, officer was directed to a male student who was seated on the floor and bleeding from the nose and mouth.  Suspect information was obtained from the victim and other officers began a search of the area. After refusing assistance from Huntsville/Walker County Emergency Medical Services, the victim was taken by private car to Huntsville Memorial Hospital.  A suspect was identified and an investigation continues into the incident (1110866).

Due to the officer close proximity to a call for service, officer responded to the 1200 block of Josey Street in reference to a disturbance at 12:54 AM.  Officer met with complainant who reported that her neighbor was intoxicated, yelling, and slamming doors. While on location, a female resident of Huntsville, Texas was arrested and charged for the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a Class C Misdemeanor (1110827). 

Officer met with complainant at 9:14 PM in reference to a harassment report.  The female student reported that she is continuing to receiving unwanted text messages from a former boyfriend.  A harassment offense report was completed and will be sent to the Walker County District Attorney's Office seeking a warrant of arrest for this offense (1110870).

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 1100 block of Sycamore at 1:40 AM, officer discovered that the female (a resident of Huntsville, Texas) was intoxicated.  The female was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, a Class C Misdemeanor. While at the jail and being booked in, it was determined that she was in possession of contraband. The female was also charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (1110758).

A male was arrested in the 600 block of Bowers Boulevard for the offense of Criminal Trespass after he was found on campus.  It should be noted that the individual was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU on September 10, 2011 (1110691).

September 30, 2011

Officer responded to the Johnson Coliseum at 8:44 PM in reference to a male and female arguing.  Upon arrival he met with the female complainant who reported that she and her boyfriend (a Houston, Texas resident) were arguing over text she discovered on his cell phone.  The male was located and he confirmed the report. The male agreed to remain separated for the rest of night.  It should be noted that there was no physical violence (1110672).

While providing police services during a Huntsville High School football game being played at Bowers Stadium, a male Huntsville resident was issued a criminal trespass warning.  The male was issued this warning due to causing a disturbance at the stadium (1110674).

Officers responded to the Smith-Hutson Business Building (located at 1821 Avenue I) at 3:10 PM in reference to a report of smoke in the building.  Officers located heavy smoke on the third floor of the building.  The Huntsville Fire Department was also dispatched to this location.  During the investigation of this incident, it was determined that the smoke was caused by repairs being made to the roof of the building (1110638).

September 28, 2011

Officer was assisting the Huntsville Police Department in the 1500 block of 11th Street at 2:05 AM with a disturbance.  While on scene, officer checked the welfare of a 20 year old male from Cleveland, Texas.  While speaking with the male, the officer determined that he was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, a Class C Misdemeanor (1110588).

Officer was dispatched to the Performing Arts Center (located at 1700 Avenue I) at 11:15 AM to assist with a medical call (1110596).

Officer responded to the a university storage area located in the 2200 block of Avenue M at 1:41 PM due to a report of a tampered lock.  Upon arrival, officer observed that a door to the building was partially ajar.  It appears that someone attempted to pry open the door.  An offense report into this incident was completed (1110599).

Officer was dispatched to the Sam Houston Parking Garage (located at 1730 Avenue I) at 3:03 PM in reference to a damaged gate.  A vehicle struck and damaged a control gate as it was backing out of a parking space.  The driver of the vehicle was identified and insurance information was obtained (1110600).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 900 block of 11th Street at 3:52 PM, officer determined that the driver, a resident of Madisonville, Texas, was in possession of contraband.  The driver was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor (1110506).

AT 8:17 PM, officer was dispatched to the Sorority Hill Parking Area (located at 1925 Avenue I) where the complainant reported that their unlocked vehicle was burglarized.  Complainant reported several items of personal belongings were stolen (1110524). 

September 25, 2011

While investigating suspects involved in a burglary of residence, officer identified a male who was staying in University housing that was not a student.  The male was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property (1110451).

While assisting the Huntsville Police Department with a three vehicle accident at the intersection of Montgomery Road and Sam Houston Avenue at 7:26 PM, officer was informed that two males were interfering with the Huntsville police officer's investigation.  Upon making contact with the two males (one a male university student, the other a resident of Houston, Texas), officer determined that both males were intoxicated.  Subsequently, both males were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, a Class C Misdemeanor (1110469).

Officer responded to the 2600 block of El Toro Drive to assist the Huntsville Police Department at 9:44 AM in reference to a fight in progress report.  Upon arrival, officer located the two individuals involved in the incident (one a male university student and one a resident of Lufkin, Texas).  Both reported that they were just "slap boxing" in a parking lot, but not involved in an altercation.  While speaking with the males, the officer noted that they were intoxicated.  Subsequently, both males were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, A Class C Misdemeanor (1110472).

September 24, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 1:13 AM, officer determined that the driver (a male university student) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Driving While Intoxicated (1110402).

While in the 2600 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 1:42 AM, officer observed a male who appeared unsteady on his feet.  Upon checking the male's welfare, the officer determined that he was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (11110404).

Officer was dispatched to Lone Star Hall (located at 910 Bearkat Boulevard) at 3:30 PM where the complainant reported that their unlocked residence was burglarized.  The complainant reported that a laptop computer was stolen from his residence. The investigation into this incident continues (1110418).

While assisting the Huntsville Police Department with a call in the 300 block of 16th Street at 11:50 PM, officer saw a male stumbling through the street.  Upon checking his welfare, officer determined that the Huntsville resident was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, a Class C Misdemeanor (1110434).

Officer was dispatched to Jackson-Shaver Hall (located at 1201 17th Street) at 12:45 AM to assist with a medical call (1110359).

Officer met with complainant at 3:25 PM who reported that they discovered fraudulent charges on their BearkatOne Card account.  A Credit/Debit Card Abuse offense report was completed (1110380).

Officer met with complainant at the University Police Department at 5:03 PM who reported that she was being harassed by two former friends.  Information was obtained and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (1110382).

September 22, 2011

Officer was dispatched to Lone Star Hall (located at 990 Bearkat Boulevard) at 12:15 AM in reference to a reported alcohol violation.  Subsequently, five underage male university students were each issued a citation for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village (located at 2133 Avenue I) at 9:01 AM, to assist with a medical call (1110329).

Officer was dispatched to the Lee Drain Building (located at 1900 Avenue I) at 1:51 PM in reference to a dispute.  The dispute involved a student organizations' free speech board and a professor who was offended by vulgar language being used towards the President of the United States.  The professor asked the students to remove or cover the vulgar term; the student's declined to do so. At this the professor returned with a box cutter and removed the word himself.  At 4:40 PM, a student complainant met with an officer and requested to file an offense report against the professor for the destruction of her property.  At this time an offense report was completed and it will be forwarded to the Huntsville Municipal Court (1110338). 

Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Bearkat Boulevard (university parking area) at 3:24 PM where the complainant reported that their vehicle was "keyed".  Officer observed numerous scratches on the vehicle that appeared to have been made by a sharp object (1110340).

Officer responded to the Farrington Building (located at 1908 Avenue J) in reference to a theft report.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that an unattended textbook left in a office was stolen.  The textbook is described as a paperback book titled Learning and Behavior: Active Learning Edition (1110343).

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (located at 2401 Montgomery Road) at 4:33 PM in reference to a report of a damaged vehicle.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that his vehicle was damaged while parked in the lot.  Damage to the vehicle consisted of both driver side tires being cut on the side walls.  A criminal mischief offense report was completed (1110308).

September 18, 2011

Officer was dispatched to the Sam Houston Village parking garage (located at 1600 Sam Houston Avenue) at 6:02 PM where the complainant reported that there vehicle was damaged.  Officer observed damages to vehicle in the area of the front bumper and driver's side wheel (1110183).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1200 block of 17th Street at 10:25 PM, officer determined that the passenger, a male resident of Huntsville, Texas, was in possession of contraband.  The passenger was arrested and charged with the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Possession of Marijuana.  The driver was issued a moving violation and released (1110195).

September 17, 2011

Officer responded to King Hall, located at 1608 Avenue J, at 12:00 AM to assist with a medical call (1110125).

Officer met with complainant at 9:22 PM who reported that he witnessed a vehicle's occupant steal a University flag in the 1800 block of Sam Houston Avenue.  After obtaining suspect information, officer was able to locate two female university students who stole the flag.  The flag was recovered and a copy of the incident report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (1110161).

September 16, 2011

Officer met with complainant at 2:57 PM where the complainant reported that their vehicle was damged while parked in a University parking area located in the 1200 block of 16th Street.  Damage to the vehicle cosisted of a deep scratch and denting on the right front quarter panel area (1110105).

Officer responded to the CHSS Building area (located in the 1900 block of Avenue I) at 3:08 PM, in reference to an abonded bike.  Upon checking the serial number it was determined that the bicycle was reported stolen to Kansas University Police Department.  Images of the bike were forwarded to their police department where it was confirmed.  The victim was contacted and is making arrangements to pick up the bike (1110106).

September 12, 2011

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village (located at 2133 Avenue I) at 11:42 AM in reference to a dispute.  Complainants were reporting an incident that had taking place the night before and had caused damage to a residence.  The participants of the dispute were identified and a copy of the incident will be forwarded to the the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life for review (119938).

Officer met with complainat at 2:30 PM who reported that they believed their wallet was stolen while their backpack was left unattended in the Smith Hutson Building. The complainant further reported that they discovered fraudulent charges on a fuel credit card (119940).

Officer met with complainant at 4:40 PM who reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in a University parking lot located in the 800 block of Bowers Boulevard. The officer observed damaged to the right back corner of the vehicle (119944).

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village (located at 2400 Montgomery Road) at 7:06 PM in reference to an assault that had just occurred.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who was visibally injured.  Complainant reported that her boyfriend (a male university student) struck her with a closed fist in her face.  The suspect was located at the HKC and was arrested for the offense of Assult Family Violence, a Class A Misdemeanor (119950).

September 11, 2011

Officer responded to a fight in progress call in the 2400 block of Avenue I at 2:04 AM.  Upon arrival, officer a male (later identified as a male university student) in a physical altercation.  After a brief foot chase, the male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Disorderly Conduct, Fighting in Public (119860).

Officer was dispatched to the 2500 block of Lake Road at 3:00 AM in reference to a fight in progress call that he was dispatched to at 2:04 AM.  Upon arrival, officer took possession of a handgun that was recovered from the vehicle belonging to the suspect arrested for disorderly conduct.  During the officer's investigation, the male arrested denied ownership of the weapon. At this time the weapon was seized until the owner can be located (119863).

Officer was dispatched to a welfare concern located at the HKC (801 Bowers Boulevard) at 3:15 PM.  Upon arrival, complainant reported that the female student violated facility policies. After a brief search of the area, a female student matching the description was lcoated.  Subsequently, due to the behavior displayed at the HKC, the student was issued a criminal trespass warning for the HKC.  The student was referrred to the Dean of Students' Office (119882).

September 10, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 12:39 AM, officer determined that the driver, a male university student, had consumed alcohol and displayed signs of intoxication.  The driver was issued a Class C Misdemeanor citation for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor. Five passengers in the vehicle (all university students) were also issued citations for the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Minor Consuming Alcohol (119790).

Officer was dispatched to the Bowers Stadium parking area (located in the 600 block of Bowers Boulevard) at 5:59 PM in reference to an intoxicated person.  Upon arrival, officer met with reportee (a former male university student) who stated that both female passengers were intoxicated and would not exit the vehicle.  While speaking with the females, both university students, they accussed the reportee of assault.  After an investigation into the incident, the male was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property. Both females were released to a sober third party.  An offense report will be presented to the Walker County District Attorney's Office seeking warrants of arrest for all three individuals for the Class A Misdemeanor offense of Assault - Causes Bodily Injury (119816).

While checking on the welfare of a pedestrian in the 1700 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 10:21 PM, officer determined that that 18 year-old male university student was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Public Intoxication of a Minor (119836).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 500 block of Bowers Boulevard at 12:50 AM, officer determined that a passenger in the vehicle was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest. The passenger was arrested and taking to the Walker County Jail where he was booked for the outstanding warrants of Public Intoxication of a Minor and Failure To Appear (119682).

Officer met with complainant at 11:52 AM who reported that they discovered fraudulent activity on their BearkatOne Card.  An offense report for Credit Card/Debit Card Abuse was completed (119696).

Officer met with complainant at 12:53 PM, officer met with complainant who reported that on September 2nd her vehicle was keyed while parked in the Sam Houston Parking Garage (located at 1730 Avenue I). Officer took photographs of the damage and completed a Criminal Mischief report (119697).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 12:04 AM, officer determined that the female University student was in possession of contraband.  The driver was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor (119637).

Officer was dispatched to Lone Star Hall (located at 910 Bearkat Boulevard) at 11:44 AM in reference to a report of damaged property.  Upon arrival, officer met with Residence Life Staff who stated that a male University student residing in the hall had punched a hole in the wall.  The student was identified and admitted to causing the damage.   The student will not face criminal charges at this time; however, his student account will be billed for the damages (119654).

Officer met with SHSU professor at 4:10 PM whor reported receiving a suspicous letter. An incident report was completed and a copy of the letter was kept (119661).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 1:43 AM, officer determined that the driver (a Huntsville resident) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated - 2nd Offense, a Class A Misdemeanor (119533).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 2:23 AM, officer determined that the driver (a Huntsville resident) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated, a Class B Misdemeanor (119535).

Officer was dispatched to the Raven Village parking lot (located at 2133 Avenue I) at 6:17 PM in reference to a damaged vehicle report.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was damaged by a tree limb that fell out of a tree.  Officer noted damage to the rear trunk area of the vehilce (119547).

While on patrol, an officer observed to males who were shirtless and shoeless walking near a construction fence in the 1200 block of 16th Street (Sam Houston Village) at 11:10 PM.  Upon speaking with them, he determined that they were minors and had consumed alcohol.  A 17 year-old male was arrested and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Minor in Consumption.  A second 16 year-old juvenile was cited and released to a parent/guardinan (119566).

Officer was dispatched to the Sam Houston Memorial Museum grounds at 2:59 PM in reference to a damaged vehicle.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that a flage belonging to the University was struck by his vehicle.  The officer observed a crack to the passenger side of the windshield (119603).

Office was dispatched Elliot Hall (located at 1006 17th Street) at 7:30 PM to assist with a medical call (119418).

Officer was dispatched to 620 Bowers Boulevard (Bowers Stadium) in reference to a warrant service call at 7:45 PM.  Upon arrival, officer met with antoher officer who had detained a female Huntsville resident who was wanted by this department on an outstanding warrant of arrest for the Class A Misdemeanor Offense of Theft.  The female was arrested for the warrant and alos charged with the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Criminal Trespass (119419).

At 9:22 PM, Officer met with complainant in the 800 block of Bearkat Boulevard who reported that her vehicle was damaged while parked in the Stadium parking lot.  Damage to the vehicle consisted a large scuff on the front bumper and the bumper being sperated from the left front quarther panel (119421).

Officer was dispatched to the Sam Houston Parking Garage (located at 1730 Avenue I) at 8:00 PM in reference to a welfare concern report.  Upon arrival, officer located located a male university student sitting on the edge of the top level of the parking garage.  After the male retreated from the ledge, he met with University officials (119420).

While conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of 12th Street and Avenue J at 1:45 AM, officer determined that the male driver (of Cypress, Texas) was wanted on two outstanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (119354).

At 3:54 AM, officer observed a pickup truck parked in the 1600 block of Avenue I with its passenger door open.  Upon further inspection, officer located a 18 year-old male univeristy student passed out in the vehicle.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication of a Minor, a Class C Misdemeanor (119357).

Officer responded to the 1900 block of Bobby K Marks at 2:44 PM to assist with a medical call (119365).

August 30, 2011

Officer met with complainant at 3:26 PM who reported that on August 25th that their unattended backpack (containing a laptop computer) was taking from the Old Main Market (119328).

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village (located at 2133 Avenue I) at 4:12 PM in reference to a report of a suspicious odor.  Upon investigation, officer detected the odor of marijuana in the room.  The residence was secured and a search warrant was obtained.  During the execution of the search warrant, contraband was located within the residence.  Subsequently, a male University student was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeaor (119331).

Officer spoke with complainant by telephone at 8:12 AM in reference to missing University property.  The University staff member reported that two water extractor machines were missing and not been seen since November 2010 (119244).

Officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of Avenue I (a University parking area) at 4:28 PM in reference to a minor motor vehicle accident.  The accident involved a University vehilce (119263).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Montgomery Road at 11:40 PM, officer determined that the passenger in the vehicle (a male university student) was in possession of contraband.  The passenger was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor.  The dirver was issued a citation for the offense and released (119232).

While checking on the welfare of pedestrian in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 12:49 AM, officer determined that the male (a resident of Grapevine, Texas) was intoxicated.  The male was arrested, transported to the Walker County Jail, and charged with the Class C Misdemeanor Offense of Public Intoxication (119165).

A male resident of Huntsville, Texas was arrested at 12:30 AM in the Lowman Student Center Ballroom, located at 1802 Avenue I, for the offense of Public Intoxication.  In addition, due to the individuals behavior, the male was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property (119048).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 15th Street at 2:33 AM, officer determined that the driver (a male university student unde age 21) was had been drinking alocholic beverages.  The driver was issued a Class C Misdemeanor citation for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a minor.  A passenger in the vehicle (a minor male university student) also admitted to consuming alcohol.  The passenger was issued a Class C Misdemeanor citation for the offense of Minor in Consumption.  Both were released to a sober dirver (119055).

At 11:53 PM in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer observed two males who appeared to be having a verbal argument.  Upon checking on their welfare, officer determined both males were highly intoxicated.  The two males were arrested, transported to the Walker County Jail, and each individual was issued a Class C Misdemeanor citation for the offense of Public Intoxication (119107).

While conducting a traffic stop on a bicyclist in the 1300 block of 11th Street at 12:50 AM, officer discovered that the operator (a male resident of Willis, Texas) was in possession of contraband.  The male was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana (118959).

At 3:04 AM in the 500 block of Bearkat Boulevard (North Stadium Parking Lot), officer identified a suspicious person on bike and foot moving through a row of parked cars.  Subsequently, the male resident of Huntsville, Texas was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property (118968).

At 1:15 PM, officer assisted the Huntsville Police Department with a felony traffic stop in 2500 block of Lake Road with a traffic stop (118667).

At 2:08 PM, a male University student was arrested in the 1900 block of University Avenue for three outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male was transported to the Walker County Jail (118669).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 11:28 PM, officer determined that the driver, a male resident of Huntsville, Texas, was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (118694).

August 17, 2011

Officer responded to a fight in progress call at 2:49 AM located in the 2700 block of 11th Street to assist the Huntsville Police Department.  Officer stopped the vehicle operated by the reported suspect.  At this time it was determined that that the male resident of Willis, Texas did not have a driver's license and was subsequently arrested and charged with No Driver's License (118605).

August 16, 2011

While on patrol in the 5000 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 2:40 AM, officer observed two males loitering suspiciously around a flatbed trailer loaded with ATVs.  As the officer approached the two male vacated the area quickly.  Officer located the males near another truck and at this time identified them.  Both were not residents of the area and one was determined to have outstanding warrants of arrest.  The male (of Huntsville, Texas) was arrested for the warrant and issued a criminal trespass warning for the apartment complex.  The second male was issued a criminal trespass warning for the apartment complex and escorted from the property (118557).

While conducting a traffic stop at 11:47 PM in the 2000 block of Sycamore Avenue, officer determined that the driver (of Dallas, Texas) was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense (118597).

August 15, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Sam Houston Avenue at 10:58 PM, the officer learned that the female driver (of New Orleans, La) was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The female driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (118540).

While on patrol in the 1500 block of Veterans's Memorial at approximately 3:00 AM, officer discovered a damaged gate belonging to Raven Nest Golf Course.  Upon further inspection, the officer noted that the gate was intentionally damaged and tire tracks on the 15th hole of the golf course. A criminal mischef report was completed (118491).

At 10:36 AM, officers were dispatched to the Sam Houston Parking Garage (located at 1730 Avenue I) in reference to a welfare concern call. Upon arrival, officer observed a male juvenile sitting in an office chair and the third floor of the garage.  At this time two juveniles (one male and one female) were detained for removing chairs from a building and then using them to ride down the parking garage slopes.  The juveniles were transported to the University Police Department and released to their parents (118504).

A male university student and a female university student were arrested at 1:35 AM in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue after being found highly intoxicated in a public location. Both were transported to the Walker County Jail where the male was charged with Public Intoxicationi and the female was charged with Public Intoxication - Minor (118422).

Officer was dispatched to the Music Building at 12:05 PM in reference to a fight in progress call.  Upon arrival and investigation, officer determined that a male non-university student, was causing a disruption during a University sanctioned event.  Subsequently, the male was issued a criminal trespass warning for SHSU property (118379).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1200 block of 19th Street at 10:22 PM, officer determined that the driver, a male resident of Huntsville, was wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (118353).

Officer was dispatched to the North Kirkley parking area (located at 1730 Avenue I) at 1:50 PM in reference to a damaged vehicle.  Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who reported that the windshield on their vehicle was damaged. Upon inspection, officer noted that the windshield was shattered and caused by rocks.  A criminal mischief report was completed (118339).

Officer responded to the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue in reference to a report of an air conditioning unit be taking from the Family Faith Church.  Officer arrived in the area and located the suspect vehicle.  The occupants were detained until the Huntsville Police Department arrived.  Both suspects were arrested by the Huntsville Police Department for offense of Theft (117335).

Officer arrived in the 2700 block of Angier Road to serve outstanding warrants of arrests.  Officer located the wanted individual in the driver's seat of his vehicle passed out with an alcoholic beverage between his legs.  The male was arrested for the two outstanding warrants and also charged with Public Intoxication (117327).

Officer met with complainant who reported that his vehicle was vandalized while parked in the Sam Houston Parking Garage located in the the 1700 block of Avenue I.  Damage to the vehicle consisted of a "keyed" scratch along the passenger side rear quarter panel (116460).

While conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of 20th Street and L 1/2 Street, officer determined that the male driver (a Huntsville resident) was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (116498).

Officer met with a University staff member who reported that they discovered fraudulent transactions on a department credit card used for purchasing (11643).

Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of 17th Street to investigate a traffic accident involving a University owned vehicle (11644).

Officer met with student complainant who reported that she was assaulted by a faculty member.  An investigation continues into this reported incident (11665).

While conducting a pedestrian stop on a suspicious male in the museum grounds, officer determined that the male's behavior was disruptive.  The male Huntsville rresident was issued a criminal trespass warning for SHSU property (11622).

February 12, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a male resident of Magnolia, Texas, was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While License Suspended.  The female passenger in the vehicle was also arrested and charged with Public Intoxication (11589).

February 11, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1500 block of University Avenue, officer determined that the male university student driver was in possession of contraband.  The driver was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (11476).

While conducting a pedestrian stop in the 1800 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer identifed a male Huntsville resident who was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.  While at the Walker County Jail, it was determined that the male was in possession of contraband.  The male was subsequently charged with Possession of Child Pornography (11509).

Officer was dispatched to Academic Building I where the complainant reported that her Iphone was stolen from a classroom.  The complainant was able to provide a serial number and possible suspect information.  An investigation continues (11530).

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village in reference to a missing student.  A complainant reported that male student was missing and there were suspicious circumstances surronding the incident.  The missing studnet was located a short time later.  Information was obtained and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (11537).

February 9, 2011

Officer met with complainant who reported that a former member of his student organization was removing approved organizational fliers from different campus locations.  A incident report was completed and sent to the Dean of Students' Office for review (11407).

Officer was dispatched to the University Bookstore Store, located in the LSC (1802 Avenue I), in reference to a theft report.  Bookstore staff reported that a male stole a textbook from from the bookstore and fled.  During the investigation, the male was identified as a University student.  An ongoing investigation continues (11397). 

Officer met with complainant who reported that while driving her vehicle in a university parking area (1000 block of Bowers Boulevard) her vehicle was struck by another.  The striking vehicle left the area.  The victim was able to provide a suspect description and a license plate of the suspect vehicle.  Information was obtained and an investigation continues (11399).

February 8, 2011

Officer was dispatched to he 2000 block of Avenue I (university parking area) where the complainant reported that their vehicle was damaged.  Upon inspection, the damage appears to have been made by being "keyed".  Damage was observed to the passenger side of the vehicle (11340).

Officer met with complainant at the University Hotel who reported that their vehicle was damged while legally parked in the parking area (1600 block of Marks Drive). A second vehicle was identified and owners exchanged information (11345).

Officer met with Residence Life staff at Raven Village (2133 Avenue I) in reference to a damaged residence.  Upon inspection, officer noted damage to a door and walls in a room.  The occupant of the rooms was interviewed.  An incident reporte was completed and will be forwarded to Residence Life and the Dean of Students' Office for review (11321).

Officer was dispatched to the Evans Complex (1901 University Avenue) in reference to a verbal disturbance.  A male non-student was found arguing with f female student.  After determining that the male was a non-student and due to his irrational behavior, the male was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property. The male was then escorted off campus (11333)

Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Bowers Boulevard where the complainant stated he backed a university vehicle into a metal light pole (11285).

February 6, 2011

Officer was dispatched to Raven Village (2133 Aveue I) in reference to a reported alcohol violation.  Upon arrival, officer determined that four minors were in possession of alcohol (1 female student, 2 female non-students, and 1 male non-student).  All four individuals were cited for the offense of Minor in Possession of Alcohol and released (11233).

Officers were dispathced to Barrett House, located in the 2000 block of Avenue J, in reference to a welfare concern report.  Upon arrival, officers met with residence life staff and the student in question.  The student was transported by ambulance to Huntsville Memorial Hostpital for further treatment (11231).

February 5, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Sam Houston, officer determined that the male driver of Sugar Land, Texas was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (11228).

February 4, 2011

While in the 1200 block of Josey Street, officer observed a vehicle strike a legally parked vehicle. The officer, while out of the patrol car, shined his flashlight at the driver and instructed him to stay at the scene.  The dirver, while looking at the officer, rolled up his window and fled in the vehicle.  Officer engaged in a vehicle pursuit of the suspect vehicle. The driver was identified as a male university student.  The driver was arrested and charged with Disregarding a Stop Sign and Duty Upon Striking a Parked Vehicle (11159).

Officers were dispathced to the 1300 block of 11th Street to assist the Huntsville Police Department with a combative male.  The male was taking into custody by the Huntsville Police Department and charged with Resisting Arrest and Public Intoxication.

Officer was dispatched to the ZTA House, located at 1661 Avenue J in reference to a dispute.  Upon arrival, officer met with Residence Life staff and ZTA residents in reference to a complaint about Residence Life policies in regards to "males" in the residence hall rea (11180). Information was obtained and will be forwarded to Residence Life (11180).

Officer was dispatched to the HKC, located at 801 Bowers Boulevard, where the complainant reported that his cell phone was stolen while left unsecured in a cubby hole near the basketball courts (11128).

February 2, 2011

Officer was dispatched to the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue in reference to a reported assault.  Upon arrival, officer observed an individual who was arguing with Jolly Fox management. Once the suspect observed the officer, the suspect ran back inside the establishment.  Officer located the suspect (a male university student) who was highly intoxicated.  The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication (1157).

Officer responded to the food court in the LSC to assist with a medical call (1167).

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village, 2400 Montgomery Road, in reference to a single vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, officer observed a car that had traveled over a retaining wall and struck several air conditioning units.  An motor vehicle crash report was completed (1190).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the driver, a resident of Sugar Land, Texas, was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (11228).

Officer met with complainant at Crawford House (1300 block of 17th Street) who reported that someone removed a television from his residence (1116920).

Officer was dispatched to the Bearkat Village Clubhouse (2400 Montgomery Road) where the complainant reported that a door was found kicked in and a flat screen television was missing.  An investigation continues (1116896).

January 30, 2011

While attempting to make a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Avenue O, the vehicle attempted to flee from the officer. The vehicle stopped in a driveway where all three occupants fled.  Upon investigation, all three subjects were identified as male university students.  At this time three warrants of arrests are be sought for the offense of Evanding Arrest (1116864).

Officer responded to the third floor of Sam Houston Village in reference to a goose in the hallway.  Officer caught the goose and returned it to the Sam Houston Memorial Musuem grounds.  Upon reviewing video surveillance of the complex, officer observed students carrying the goose inside the complex andthen releasing it on the third floor while taunting it. Participants were identified and a copy of the report will be sent to the Dean of Students' Office and Residence Life for review (1116880).

Officer met with female student to report that she was being harassed by a male student.  It should be noted that a full offense report has been filed in Harris County, Texas (1116872).

January 28, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the female university student driver did not have a valid driver's license.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While License Invalid (1116785).

A female university student was arrested in the 1500 block of Bobby K. Marks Drive after providing a false name and date of birth to the officer (1116764).

A female non-student was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property while being investigated for a alcohol policy violation in a University parking area located in the 1100 block of Bowers Boulevard (1116705).

Officer responded to the a University parking area in the 2000 block of Marks Drive in reference to damaged University property.  At this time the officer discovered a University sign that had been painted a green color with an aerosol paint (1116654).

Officer responded to Academic Building III where the complainant reported that two projectors were removed from the building (1116650).

January 25, 2011

Officer met with student complainant who reported discovering fraudulent charges on her Bank of America Visa credit card (1116639).

January 24, 2011

Officer responded to the Horticulture Center (located at 2348 Avenue M) where the complainant reported someone stole two Leland Cypress plants weighing up to 80 pounds each (1116604).

Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Bowers Boulevard in reference to a welfare concern report.  Officer located a male (non-univeristy student) who was highly intoxicated. The male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication (1116606).

Officer was dispatched to the Museum Grounds in reference to a Damaged University Property report.  Simultaneously, a second officer was dispathced to the same area in reference to suspicous person in Museum Grounds area after dark.  While inspecting a building, officer located indivduals in a wooded area of the complex. Upon attempting to identify the individuals, they fled the from the officer.  After a brief foot chase, one of the males was caught.  The male university student was highly intoxicated.  Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.  In addition, the male identified the other individuals who fled from the officers.  A copy of this report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office for review (1116616).

Officer responded to the Museum Grounds and found one of the double doors to a maintenance building pried open.  Nothing was determined to missing from the building (1116617).

January 23, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Lake Road, officer determined that the driver was wanted on outstanding warrants of arrests.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (1116563).

While conducting a traffic stop in the near the intersection of Sycamore Avenue and Palm Street, officer discovered that the driver (a male university student) was in possession of contraband.  Subsequently, the driver was issued a citation for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released (1116575).

January 22, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 800 block of Bowers Boulevard, officer determined that the driver was wanted on outanding warrants of arrests.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (1116500).

Officer was dispatched to the Sam Houston Village parking garage, located in the 1600 block of Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a fight in progress report.  After investigation, it was determined that two male university students were involved in a physical altercation.  Both students were issued citations for the offense of Disorderly Conduct - Fighting in Public and released (1116506).

January 21, 2011

While providing police services at the Walker County Fair Grounds, officer observed a male individual known to him to have outstanding warrant of arrest.  The male was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (1116440).

Officer responded to the 1800 block of Avenue J in reference to a fire call. Witnesses reported seeing smoke coming from a flower bed in front of the Smith-Kirkley Complex.  Upon arrival, it was determined that the mulch in the flower bed was smoldering due to a partially extinguished cigarette (1116449).

Officers responded to the Administration Building, located at 1806 Avenue J, in reference to a fire alarm.  Upon arrival, officers located smoke on the third floor of the building.  It was determined that a "air pusher" device shorted out and caught fire.  The fire was extinguished by a fire extinguisher.  No damage was reported to the building and the device was replaced (1116450).

Officer met with complainant who reported his vehicle was damaged while parked in the 2000 block of Avenue J (university parking area).  Damage was observed to the driver's side rear quarter panel.  A witness reported seeing the vehicle struck by another and was able to obtain a vehicle description and license plate information.  A suspect (a male university student) was located and issued a citation for Failure to Stop and Give Information (1116453).

Officer met with complainant (Walker County Special Utility District) who reported that the water meter at Gibbs Ranch had been tampered with.  The water meter was removed by a contractor doing contsruction at Gibbs Ranch. The contractor replaced the meter as specified by the special utility district (1116456).

Officer was dispathced to Bearkat Village (2401 Montgomery Road) to assist with a medical call (1116465).

Officer met with residence life staff who reported that a female student had not been seen since November 19th.  An intense investigation began.  Parents were contacted and advised that have had contact with their daughter earlier in the month of January; however, they were still concerned about her.  At this time there still is not sufficient information in regards to her location and she has been listed as a missing person (1116720).

January 20, 2011

Officer met with complainant who reported that they discovered fraudulent transactions on their BearkatOne Card account (1116390).

Officer was dispatched to King Hall, located at 1608 Avenue J, in reference to a suspicious odor report.  Upon investigation, it was determined that two male students were in possession of contraband. Both students were cited for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  A copy of the report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life for review (1116414).

January 19, 2011

Officer met with complainant who reported that their vehicle was struck by another vehicle in the Coliseum parking lot, located in the 1900 block of Marks Drive.  A damaged vehicle report was completed (1116346).

Officer was dispathced to the Sam Houston Village parking garage where the complainant reported that their vehicle was struck by another unknown vehicle. Officer observed damage to the victim's vehicle in the left front area (1116351).

Officer was dispatched to Estill Hall (1002 16th Street) in reference to a suspicious odor report.  Upon investigation, office located four female students in a residence on the fourth floor who had been smoking marijuana.  Additionally, alcohol was found in the residence.  Subsequently, a female student was issued a citation for the offenses of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.  A second female student was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (1116365).

Officer met with complainat who reported that someone removed her cell phone from her residence in Jackson-Shaver Hall (1116353). 

January 18, 2011

Officer met with complainant who reported that his vheicle was burglarized while parked in the Raven Village parking lot, 2100 block of Avenue I.  The victim reported that a GPS system was missing from the vehicle (1116321). 

Officer was dispatched to the North Side Dining Construction project, located at 1003 Bearkat Boulevard, in reference to a Theft report.  Upon arrival, the complainant reported that copper pipes were stolen from the project site (1116312).

January 17, 2011

Officer conducted a pedestrian stop in the 1700 block of Avenue in reference to a male standing in the middle of the street. After finally obtaining the males real identification, the male univeristy student was arrested and charged with Failure to Identify (1116257).

January 16, 2011

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Sam Houston, officer determined that he driver, a male Huntsville resident, was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of Driving While Intoxicated (1116230).

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Avenue N 1/2 Street, officer determined that the male driver, a resident of Huntsville, Texas, was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (1116233).

Officer responded to Sam Houston Village to assist with a medical call (1116246).

January 14, 2011

Officer observed a suspicious person walking through a University parking lot looking through vehicles in the 800 block of Bowers Boulevard. After determining that the male was not a student and did not have any official business with the University, the male was issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property (1116102).

Officer met with complainant who reported that her unattended purse was stolen from a break room located on the third floor of the CHSS Building, located at 1901 Avenue I (1116230).

January 11, 2011

Officer responded to the Sam South Complex, located at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, in reference to a damaged vehicle.  Complainant reported that she struck a vehicle with her driver side door while exiting the University owned vehicle.  A report was completed and the owner of the damaged vehicle was contacted (1115982).

January 9, 2011

Officer was dispatched to Bearkat Village in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, officer leared that a female student was involved in an argument with her non-student boyfriend.  The male was escorted from the residence and issued a criminal trespass warning for all SHSU property. This matter will also be forwarded to the Dean of Students' Office and the Department of Residence Life (1115913).

January 7, 2011

After conducting a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the female driver was wanted on outstanding warrants arrests.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (1115826).

While conducting a traffic stop in a University parking lot (2400 Montgomery Road) officer determined that the female passenger was wanted on outstanding warrants of arrests out of Madisonville, Texas.  The female was arrested and transported to the Walker County Jail (1115753).

Officer responded to Spivey House in refernce to reported damage.  Upon arrival, officer found a piece of paper glued to the building (1115830).

January 5, 2011

Two males were issued criminal trespass warnings for a violation of University policy in the 800 block of Bowers Boulevard (University parking area) 1115751).
