A student reported that her vehicle was vandalized while it was parked in the Jackson/Shaver Lot.
Officer was dispatched to a residence at Bearkat Village in reference to a loud noise complaint. Upon investigation, officer determined that a male resident was in possession of alcoholic beverages. The resident, a 20-year-old student, was subsequently cited for the offense of “Minor in Possession/Alcohol”.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer determined that the male driver was in possession of marijuana and cocaine. The driver, a 33-year-old Huntsville resident, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Possession of a Controlled Substance” and “Possession of Marijuana”.

While patrolling in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer observed a male subject staggering through an adjacent parking lot. Upon investigation, officer determined the subject was intoxicated. The subject, a 20-year-old student, was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Public Intoxication”.
While patrolling in the Sam Houston Village parking garage, officer observed a male subject asleep in a vehicle. Upon investigation, officer determined that the subject was intoxicated, was in possession of alcoholic beverages, and was also in possession of drug related items. This subject, a 19-year-old student, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Public Intoxication”, Minor in Possession/Alcohol”, and “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia”.
Officers were dispatched to the Academic Building V construction site in reference to trespassing. Upon investigation, officers located two male students inside the construction site area. Both students were subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and were booked for the offense of “Criminal Trespass”.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Lake Road, officer determined that the female driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver, an 18-year-old student, was subsequently cited for the offense of “Driving Under the Influence/Alcohol-Minor” and she was released to a sober individual.

Officers were dispatched to the Farrington Pit in reference to a “shots fired” call. Upon arrival and investigation, officers determined that a group had gathered at the pit and a fight broke out. During this disturbance, it was reported that an unknown subject fired two shots into the air. A search of the campus was conducted and upon its conclusion it was determined that no injuries had occurred. Investigation to continue.
While patrolling in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, officer observed a male pedestrian staggering through an adjacent parking lot. Upon investigation, officer determined the pedestrian was highly intoxicated. This subject, a 19-year-old student, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Public Intoxication”.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 500 block of Bowers Blvd., officer determined that the female driver was under the influence of alcohol. Officer also determined that a male passenger was in possession of an open container of alcohol. The driver, a 20-year-old student, was cited for the offense of “Driving Under the Influence/Alcohol-Minor” and the passenger, a 25-year-old student, was cited for the offense of “Open Container/Alcohol in Motor Vehicle”. Both individuals were released to a sober individual.
While answering a fire alarm call at Raven Village, officer determined that a male resident was in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and alcoholic beverages. The resident, a 20-year-old student, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of “Possession of Marijuana”, “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia”, and “Minor in Possession/Alcohol”.

A female resident of Houston House reported that she had been assaulted by her suitemate. Upon investigation, the suitemate, a 19-year-old student, was cited for the offense of “Assault”.

The driver, a 22-year-old resident of Pointblank, Texas, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Driving While Intoxicated”.

Subsequent to arrest, officer also located and seized a controlled substance from the driver. The driver, a 23-year-old Huntsville resident, was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of “Possession of a Controlled Substance” and “Driving While Intoxicated”.

The resident of the room, an 18-year-old male, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of “Possession of a Controlled Substance”, “Possession of Marijuana”, “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia”, and “Minor in Possession/Alcohol”.

Upon investigation, officer located a quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The male driver, an 18-year-old student, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia” and “Possession of Marijuana.
A resident of Gibbs House reported that $178.00 in cash was stolen from his room.
A student reported that his vehicle was burglarized while it was parked in the Raven Village Lot.
The treasurer of a student organization reported that $1,000.00 in cash was stolen from the Chemistry/Forensic Science Building.
An off-duty officer observed a drug buy being conducted in the Newton Gresham Library. Upon investigation, a 19-year-old male student was taken into custody for the offense of “Delivery of a Controlled Substance”, and an 20-year-old male student was taken into custody for the offense of “Possession of a Controlled Substance”. Both students were transported to the Walker County Jail and were booked on their respective charge.

While conducting a traffic stop on Old Houston Road at Milam Street, officer detected the odor of alcohol emanating from within the vehicle. Upon investigation, officer discovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and open alcoholic beverage containers. The male driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old resident of Trinity, Texas, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of “Possession of Marijuana” and “Open Container/Alcohol in Motor Vehicle”. The female passenger, a 21-year-old resident of Trinity, Texas, was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of “Possession of Marijuana”, “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia”, and “Open Container/Alcohol in Motor Vehicle”.

The driver, a 21-year-old student, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Driving While Intoxicated”.

A professor reported that his faculty/staff hangtag was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on campus. During an investigation, the stolen hangtag was found displayed on a student’s vehicle. The hangtag was seized from the vehicle and confiscated as evidence. This case will be forwarded to the Walker County Criminal District Attorney’s office for the filing of a formal criminal complaint. On April 3rd, a formal criminal complaint was filed and a warrant was issued for the arrest of a 20-year-old student for the Class B Misdemeanor Offense of "Theft of Services". On April 7th, the warrant was executed and the student was booked into the Walker County Jail.

The driver, a 36-year-old Huntsville resident, was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of “Possession of a Controlled Substance”, “Possession of a Dangerous Drug”, and “Possession of Marijuana”. The female passenger, a 42-year-old Huntsville resident, was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Possession of Marijuana”.

Officers were dispatched to the Academic Building V construction site in reference to a trespassing report. Upon arrival and investigation, officers located two male subjects on the second floor of the complex. Both subjects were escorted from the complex and identified as a 16-year-old Huntsville resident and a 17-year-old Huntsville resident. The 17-year-old was subsequently transported to the Walker County Jail and was booked for the offense of “Criminal Trespass”. The 16-year-old was released to his parents.

Upon arrival and investigation, officer determined that a 20-year-old male resident of Trinity, Texas was responsible for the theft of several property items of the Lowman Student Center. This individual was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of “Theft” and “Interference With the Duties of a Public Servant”.
A student reported that her Bearkat OneCard and her mother’s Exxon credit card were stolen from her and utilized to make fraudulent credit card purchases.

Officer was dispatched to the parking garage in reference to a report of criminal mischief. Upon investigation, officer determined that an unknown person forcibly lifted one of the exit gates which resulted in damage.
A representative of Aramark reported that a $20.00 counterfeit bill was passed at the Paw Print dining facility.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Montgomery Road, officer learned that the female driver was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. Subsequent to her arrest, officer determined the female driver and two male juvenile passengers of the vehicle were in possession of a usable amount of marijuana. The driver, a 19-year-old Huntsville resident, was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked on the outstanding arrest warrant and the offense of "Possession of Marijuana". The two male passengers, both Huntsville residents, were transported to the Juvenile Detention Facility in Anderson County.
Officer was dispatched to the 20th Street Lot in reference to a “hit & run” accident. Upon investigation, officer determined that an 18-year-old female student was responsible for damaging a parked vehicle. This student was cited for the offense of “Fail to Stop and Give Information”.
A representative of the Physics Department reported that some obscene photocopies were found in the Farrington Building.

Upon arrival, officer located the individual in question and upon investigation the officer learned that this subject was wanted on a parole violation. Subsequent to arrest, officer also located a usable quantity of cocaine on this individual. This subject, a 28-year-old male resident of Huntsville, was transported to the Walker County Jail where he was charged with the offenses of “Possession of a Controlled Substance/Cocaine” and “Parole Violation”.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 17th Street, officer determined the male driver was in possession of a firearm and stolen credit cards. The driver, a 21-year-old student, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offenses of “Unlawful Carrying Weapon” and “Credit Card Abuse”.
While booking a subject into the Walker County Jail, officer was advised that three individuals were in the lobby of the jail and wished to speak to the officer regarding their friend’s arrest. While conferring with the three individuals, officer determined they were all under the influence of alcohol. The three male individuals, all students, were subsequently taken into custody and were each booked into the Walker County Jail for the offense of “Public Intoxication”.

Upon investigation, officers found two subjects sitting inside a parked vehicle and the odor of burnt marijuana from emanating from within this vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old female student, was determined to be under the influence; and, the passenger of the vehicle, a 23-year-old male Huntsville resident, was found to be in possession of marijuana and three different controlled substances. The female student was taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Public Intoxication”. On September 27th, an arrest warrant was obtained and an 18-year-old student was arrested and charged with the offense of "Possession of Marijuana". This student was booked into the Walker County Jail.

Upon investigation, officer determined that an 18-year-old resident of the room was in possession of a useable amount of marijuana. Furthermore, officer determined that four other occupants of the room, all under the age of 21, were in possession of alcoholic beverages. The resident possessing marijuana was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Possession of Marijuana”. The four occupants were each cited for the offense of “Minor in Possession/Alcohol” and they were released.

Upon arrival and investigation, officers determined that four female students were involved in a tire slashing incident. While responding to a disorderly conduct complaint, officer observed a male subject obstructing traffic in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Avenue who matched the description of the suspect. When the officer approached this subject, the subject’s demeanor became combative. Several attempts were made to calm this subject, but all efforts failed. The subject, a 24-year-old resident of Arlington, Texas, was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the offense of “Obstructing Highway/Passageway”.

The 21-year-old was booked for the offenses of “Disorderly Conduct” and “Public Intoxication”, while the 18-year-old was booked for the offenses of “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia” and “Possession of Marijuana”.

While conducting a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Avenue I, officer determined that the male driver, a 20-year-old student, was in possession of a usable quantity of marijuana. The driver was subsequently taken into custody, transported to the Walker County Jail, and was booked for the Class B Misdemeanor offense of “Possession of Marijuana”.

While conducting a traffic stop at the intersection of Sycamore Avenue and Bowers Blvd., officer determined that the male driver, a 19-year-old Huntsville resident, was under the influence of alcohol and was also in possession of an alcoholic beverage. Furthermore, the officer determined that two male passengers, both under the age of 21, were also in possession of alcoholic beverages. Each occupant of the vehicle was cited for the offense of “Minor in Possession/Alcohol” and the driver was subsequently cited for the offense of “Driving Under the Influence/Alcohol-Minor”. All three individuals were released to a sober adult.

A resident of Raven Village reported that a fellow male student made unwanted physical contact with her and she wished to file a formal criminal complaint against this student.
On February 7, 2007, a student filed a police report alleging that someone had made some unauthorized purchases on her credit card. A subsequent investigation determined that this student had filed a false report. The student was charged with the offense of "False Report to a Police Officer" and she was booked into the Walker County Jail.

An investigation was conducted by the Residence Life Department and the University Police Department which resulted in the identification of the two offenders.
