Purpose. Serves to comply with state requirements and provides a modicum of control and standardization for the awarding of all academic scholarships at Sam Houston State University.

Appointments. The President makes all appointments; committee is a standing committee comprised of the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs who serves as the Chair; members include the Dean of Graduate Studies, the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Director of the Honors Program, and the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management; a representative from the Scholarship Office serves as an ex-officio member; indefinite terms.
