Purpose. To organize the University Ring Ceremony, co-sponsored
by the Vice President for Student Services and the SHSU Alumni Association.
Appointments. The President makes all appointments. The
co-chairs of the committee are the Director of Alumni Relations
and the Executive Director of Campus Activities and Leadership Initiatives. The committee
shall consist of the following members: Assistant to the Vice President
for Student Services, Director of University Events,
Vehicle Fleet Manager, Chair-elect of the Faculty Senate, Chair-elect
of the Staff Council, one faculty representative, one student representative
from each of the academic colleges. The faculty representative is
nominated by the University Faculty Senate and one student from
each of the academic colleges is nominated by the co-chairs of the
committee. The President of the Alumni Board of Directors serves
as an ex-officio member.
