Change default html extension
Installation & Usage
| 1. | Make sure you have Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 closed before installing. Open the Macromedia Extension Manager under Start, All Programs, SHSU Programs, Web Authoring, and Dreamweaver MX 2004. | |

| 2. | Making sure the drop down menu near the top says "Dreamweaver MX 2004", Go to the File pull down menu and select "Install Extension..." | |

| 3. | Browse to where you saved the downloaded extension, UpdateHTMLdefault.mxp, then select and install. | |

| 4. | Close the Macromedia Extension Manager and open Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004. You can check the default extension by going to "Edit" on the top pull down menu, then "Preferences". Select the category "New Document" and you will see a "Default Extension:" which will show ".html" after you have installed this extension. |
