Blackboard Training

Computer Services offers many different ways for you to gain access to Blackboard Training.

Blackboard 101

Blackboard 101 is a course which is highly recommended for first time Blackboard faculty users. Blackboard 101 is an easy to use self-paced course done entirely within the confines of the Blackboard Course Management System. The user steps through modules and completes assignments in order to become familiar with Blackboard and its uses. If you are interested in enrolling in Blackboard 101, contact Jacob Spradlin.

Software Guides

The Blackboard Software Guides are step-by-step walk-throughs and how-tos in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format that are available via the SHSU Software Guides page in the Technology Training section of the SHSU website. There are over 13 guides that can help you with the different aspects of Blackboard.

Demonstration Movies

The Blackboard Demonstration Movies are .SWF Flash movies that actually demonstrate different functions in blackboard for you in real time. So rather than a static PDF you can see Blackboard in Action. There are 28 demonstration movies covering 5 different areas in Blackboard.
