Setup your Exchange Account on OS X Mail

Select the Mail icon from your dock or in the application folder on the Macintosh HD.

If you do not have any account on your Mail application, Mail will automatically open a box for setting up an account.

You will enter the following:

• Full Name: your name
• Email Address: your email address
• Incoming Mail Server: mail.shsu.edu
• Account Type: select “IMAP”
• User Name: your username
• Password: your password
• Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.shsu.edu

Click OK and your account will be setup

If you already have an account associated in Mail, you will not get the account setup window when you open mail. In order to add an account to mail after you already have one, go to “Mail” at the top left and select “Preferences…”

Click on the “Accounts” choice on the top left of the new window that opens.

Click on the plus sign, “+”, on the bottom left, and enter in the same info as presented before in this document.
