Fixing Upload Errors

Two common errors experienced when uploading files to your S:\_website folder on the Web server include the ”URL Not Found” and the “Forbidden Page” error.

404 Error — URL Not Found

This error means that the Web server does not recognize the address of the site or the file that has been entered in the browser’s address window. If you know that you had a website before, you can contact the Helpdesk at ext.41950 and ask for it to be moved back.

403 Error — Forbidden

This error means that while a directory for the website does exists, no index.html file could be found. If you know the page was working previously to your last attempt accessing it, you can contact the Helpdesk at ext.41950 for assistance.
