E-Mail Setup: Setup your Exchange Account on Microsoft Entourage 2008

Select the Microsoft Entourage icon from your dock or in the application folder on the Macintosh HD.

Once Entourage loads, go to the menu toolbar and select “Tools” then “Accounts”

A new box will open. Click on the "New" button and select "IMAP" from the drop down list.

Note: If you are prompted with an Account Setup Assistant, select the Configure Account Manually option. Then proceed with the following steps.

Enter the following:

• Account Name: SHSU Exchange Account
• Name: your name
• E-mail address: your email address
• Account ID: your username
• IMAP Server: cas.shsu.edu
• Password: your password
• SMTP server: smtp.shsu.edu

Under Receiving Mail, click on the "Click here for advanced receiving options" and check "This IMAP service requries a secure connection (SSL)"

Under Sending Mail, click on the "Click here for advanced receiving options" and check "SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL)" and "SMTP server requires authentication" select the "Use same settings as receiving mail server" option.

Click OK and your account will be setup. Close the Account window.
