Updating a Departmental Site from Off Campus

Install Adobe Dreamweaver on your local machine with the Adobe Home Use program

Open up the remote desktop program

Click Options in the bottom left hand corner

Click the Local Resources tab

Under Local Devices and Resources, click More...

On this screen, click the check box next to Drives

Click OK and connect to your remote desktop

In remote go to \\158.135.1.99\???????\

For example, if you were trying to connect to the IT@Sam page (http://www.shsu.edu/~ucs_www/), you would put ucs_www where the question marks are.

Copy the files you want to edit to your local directory

Open up dreamweaver and make your changes

Go back to remote desktop and copy the files back over to the website folder.
