Creating Signatures:

Setting Up the Signature

To create a signature in Outlook Express, click on Tools and select Options.

Then, click on the Signatures tab.

Click on the New button and begin typing the signature’s text in the Edit Signature section.

To choose a file, click on the File option button and click the Browse button. Then, locate the file and click Open.

Click on the Advanced button. In the following dialog, click on the account that will be using the signature.

Click OK. To have the signature displayed on all messages, click on the Add Signatures to all Outgoing Messages check box.

To select a signature, just click on the desired signature in the box.

To change the default signature, click on the Set As Default button.

Click Remove to delete or click Rename to rename the current signature.

When finished adding the settings, click OK. Now, the signature is ready to use.

Using the Signature in a Message

Depending on the option chosen, the signature will be displayed at the end of the message.

If the display signature function was not checked, click on Insert and select Signature.

Make sure that the message has text or the Insert Signature function will not appear in the message.
