Create a Desktop Folder

SHSU Technology Tutorials | Desktop Folder | Creating a Desktop Shortcuts (Mac)

To create a shortcut to an application on your desktop follow these steps:

Find the Finder logo on you Mac

Find the file or program you wish to make a shortcut of

Press Control and click the application

Select Make Alias

The new alias will be located next to the original program

Drag and drop the alias to the desktop
