TOOLBAR OVERVIEW
A list of palettes can be found under the Window menu.
Tools Palette: The Tools Palette can be changed to appear vertically and horizontally. To change the appearance, double-click on the title bar of the toolbox.
Selection tool: used to select objects and their contents at the same time.
Direct Selection tool: used to move the content of a picture frame or select and modify individual frame points or portions of a frame.
Controls Palette: The Control Palette displays options for resizing, repositioning, skewing, and rotating the frame. Typically used for graphics and text.
Pages Palette: Displays master pages in one part of the palette and document pages in the other portion. Also allows for rearrangement of pages in a sequence. Click and drag page icons with the palette to move them from one location to another.
Links Palette: Provides a listing of all graphics files that have been placed into an InDesign document. The links manager offers an easy way to see each image, the page the link is used on and its status.
