Go to the SHSU homepage
In the Campus Tools dropdown menu, select MySam
Click ‘No Username?’
If you know the email address you have on file, you will need to enter it in the E-mail Address field and click ‘Submit’. You will then need to check your email and click the activation link in the message. NOTE: If you do not receive the email after several minutes, be sure to check your spam/junk folder.
If you do not know the email address you have on file, or if you no longer have access to your previous email, please call the IT@Sam Service Desk at 936.294.1950 to be provided with a One-Time Token (OTT). Once you receive the One-Time Token, click the ‘Username and one-time token (OTT)’ link.
On the next screen, enter your username and the OTT you were given. Click ‘Submit’.
Next, you will be asked to update your Off-Site Contact information (the email/phone we have on file for you). If you already have a valid contact you can just click ‘Continue’. Otherwise, please update the information and then click ‘Continue.’
Now you will be able to setup your password. Please read all password requirements. If the password fails to meet the complexity requirements, it will give you an error. When you are finished, click ‘Submit.’
Congratulations! Your account is now activated and you should be able to login to all student sites including MySam, SamWeb, Blackboard, and SHSU email.
