Where are they now?
The Department of Information Technology has employed students in areas of responsibility since its creation as a department in the seventies. Our staff currently includes many graduates from SHSU.
Student workers hold positions as programmers, network technicians, telephone switchboard operators, Helpdesk consultants, systems operators, lab assistants, hardware technicians, inventory specialists, clerical support, and telephone repairmen. The abilities, flexibility, and skills that they bring to the Information Technology department are immeasurable. After graduation, many have stayed on at SHSU in positions in Information Technology and throughout campus. They have also left the area for other positions.
The Information Technology department has relied heavily on student employees for the past thirty years. Our students have graduated and moved on to positions throughout the nation. We are proud of their accomplishments---both while they were at SHSU and now. Here are a few of the companies where our former students have gone.
