Where are they now?
The Department of Computer Services has employed students in areas of responsibility since its creation as a department in the seventies. Our staff currently includes graduates from the SHSU classes of '81, '82, '84, '85, '88, '91, '95, '96, '97, '98, '99, 2000, '01, '02, '03.
Student workers hold positions as programmers, network technicians, telephone switchboard operators, Helpdesk consultants, systems operators, lab assistants, hardware technicians, inventory specialists, clerical support, and telephone repairmen. The abilities, flexibility, and skills that they bring to the Computer Services department are immeasurable. After graduation, many have stayed on at SHSU in positions in Computer Services and throughout campus. They have also left the area for other positions.
The Computer Services department has relied heavily on student employees for the past thirty years. Our students have graduated and moved on to positions throughout the nation. We are proud of their accomplishments---both while they were at SHSU and now. Here are a few of the companies where our former students have gone.
