Current tasks include database design, implementation, and maintenance as well as web programming using primarily PHP. Jacob has been employed by SHSU since June 2001. Jacob received a Bachelor of Science degree (Chemistry major, Math minor, Computer Science Minor) in August of 2000 and his MS in Computer Science December 2004.

Suzette Kohers

Suzette has worked for the University since 1987. She worked as a student programmer/analyst for a year and then went full-time in June of 1988. She received her B.S. degree in May of 1988 in Computer Science and Mathematics.
She got her MBA in December of 1991. She was awarded Staff Excellence (voted on by fellow workers across campus) in 1999. She also served as the chair of the Administrative Issues Committee on the Staff Council from September 2003 through August of 2005 (the first two years of the Staff Council's existence at SHSU). Suzette is the team leader for the administrative programming team that writes programs/systems for the Nell SHSU menu system (Dec Cobol - VMS). She leads several full-time programmers and a few student programmers. The main areas on campus that she currently deals with are the student receipt system and business office/admin accounting office financial software programs/systems. She also helps to maintain the student registration system among many other Registrar office functions. She is a backup for the payroll system and the financial aid software system (among others).

Main responsibilities include converting Nell Administrative Programs to a Graphical Interface for the Sam Menu and maintaining programs that are currently on the Sam Menu. Kelly is working towards her Bachelor's degree in CS at Sam. Kelly started at the University in 2002.

Nina has worked for the University since 1983 (with a year off working in Houston). Her current responsibilities are to convert the previous text interface for administrative programs to a graphical interface. We are using a combination of AcuCobol and Flexus’ SP2 and FormPrint software to achieve this goal. New development is being done in this format (or in a PHP-based web interface), in addition to the conversion of all previous administrative software. Nina has a BS in Geology from Virginia Tech conferred in May 1981.

	Robert Koog Programmer Analyst II ucs_rhk@shsu.edu 936-294-4881 Handles most requests of information from our system requested by sources outside the University via Buckley requests from the Registrar's office. Robert also handles requests from Property, Institutional Research, Criminal Justice for Veterans, and requests for information about graduating seniors. Robert has been working for Computer Services since 1998. He has a BS in mathematics and is working toward a MS in Computer Science.
	Andrew Pilling Programmer Analyst I aap006@shsu.edu 936-294-4146 Maintain and modify Dec Cobol programs. Assisting with the conversion of programs from Dec Cobol to the sammenu which involves converting the program code to acucobol and/or sp2. Andrew Pilling started working for Computer Services as a student worker for the systems area in April of 2001. He started full-time as a Computer Systems Technician for the adminstrative programming area in October 2006. He is currently working on his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Management Information Systems.
	Colt Ramsden Programmer Analyst II ctr002@shsu.edu 936-294-4488 Colt is working towards a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration. His primary responsibilities include planning, developing, and maintaining web programs and also providing technical support to the end-users of those programs. Additionally, Colt is mentoring of and providing assistance to our PHP student workers.
	Michael E. Taylor Database Development Coordinator I ucs_met@shsu.edu 936-294-4753 Mike is a COBOL programmer. He started as a student employee. Mike received his bachelor's degree from SHSU and is working on his Master's.
	Brian Tipton Software Development Coordinator I ucs_bmt@shsu.edu 936-294-3139 Brian (Tip) is a programmer supporting and creating PHP applications. He started in the department as a student operator in 2000, received his Bachelor's degree from SHSU in 2002, and joined the fulltime staff in January 2003.
	Angela Whitlock Programmer Analyst IV ucs_asw@shsu.edu 936-294-3952 Angela is responsible for creating and supporting adminstrative applications on Nell. Her primary area of focus is the financial aid system. Angela has been working for Computer Services since 1997. She has a BS in Computer Science.

He started as a student worker at the Helpdesk in July 2006, received his Bachelors degree from SHSU in 2007, started working in administrative programming in May of 2007 as a student worker, and joined full time in August 2007.
	RaDonna Russ Programmer Analyst III rxr013@shsu.edu 936.294.1953 I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems minor in Technical Writing and Editing from Tarleton State University located in Stephenville, TX with a total of seven years of experience working in Information Technology. I worked for several different companies such as Lowe's Companies located in Mooresville, NC and Hewitt Associates located in The Woodlands, TX where I developed small to complex applications in various different programming languages and managed small to mid size projects. I specialize in development of applications within the Mainframe COBOL arena.
	Daniel Mendoza Programmer Analyst III djm016@shsu.edu 936.294.4145 Daniel received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University Of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. He graduated from the Electronic Data Systems’ Systems Engineer Development Program and has worked as a mainframe programmer for EDS, City of Arlington Texas, Tenneco Business Services, and as consultant at JP Morgan Chase, Fidelity Investments and at the Texas State Comptroller’s Office. Daniel programs in COBOL for the Nell SHSU menu system.

	Rigel Anthis Programmer Analyst I rra004@shsu.edu 936.294.3407 Rigel was hired full time in September 2008. His primary job is to program in PHP for SamWeb. Other duties include creating and editing database tables and a few server side jobs.

	Stephanie Brim Marketing Coordinator sab008@shsu.edu (936)294-2698 Stephanie Brim came on board with the University in April 2009 as the Marketing Coordinator. Her focus is on marketing and communications coordination for the Banner/ERP project. Stephanie received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in Business from SHSU in 2008. She comes to the University with a varied public sector work history, ranging from military service to state and local government agency experience.

His interests are Data Mining and Business Intelligence for institutions.
