IT@Sam provides many services for the University community. Discover each of the ways we are here to help:

Accounts & Access
- Access to the University computer network and its resources is restricted to authorized users with computers that meet the minimum hardware and software configuration requirement.

All University faculty, staff, and students are eligible for a computer and university email account. Read more

Classroom Support
- IT@Sam is dedicated to providing our instructors' classrooms the technology needed to teach our community. We can help with projectors, presentations and more.
Communication Services
- We maintain the campus phone network. We can help if you have a problem with your phone, or would like to purchase a new line for your office.
Desktop Management & Support
- We are here to help manage critical updates or help when there is a problem.

Email & Calendar
- We want to make your campus communication as easy as possible. We maintain the services that allow you to communicate with the campus and the world.
Events
- Providing support for events on campus is another way that we are here to help. We can help with projectors, sound systems, recording and planning.
ITV
- Provide access to ITV for academic use.
Labs
- IT@Sam has 12 computer labs across campus. Nine of these labs are used as instructional labs and three of these for general use: AB4, CHSS, and the left side of NGL. Reservations and technology support are provided by IT@Sam.

- The IT@Sam security team provides computer users and system administrators with the tools and information they need to secure their systems and property.

- Secure and reliable storage for your files is important to us. We provide restoral services and data backup to the entire campus.

Training & Help
- Want to learn more about a software that we offer on campus? To help you, we offer one-on-one training, self-paced online guides, and scheduled training.
Technology & Software Purchasing
- All SHSU technology purchases are processed through the IT@Sam Work Order system in accordance with IT-S03 policy regarding SHSU Technology Acquisition Oversight.
  
  This alignment process ensures that whatever technology you purchase is compatible with the SHSU Computer Network; purchases done outside of this system have no such assurance of compatibility. Read more
